agghh me without arrows, i had to go inside and grab some, by the time i reached the chest with arrows, i saw them 2 blue bullies inside
In that case, build a trench first. It's a lot of work but better than having mashed Viking added to your breakfast menu.
Commenting because a month or so ago I studied this video, practiced building it on my own, and then when I could play with my partner, I was able to give him instructions on what to do to help me build this model house. It's been an AMAZING starter house, and we've recently added two rooms to it (Kitchen and dining room and the work room) and it's just been- SUCH a good house to us! We're about to move, so I'm on the hunt for a design we'll both enjoy, but I wanted to thank you! ^^

If anyone wants to do this build I'd recommend putting in a wooden floor foundation with framing to help support the roof. Over all this is one of the more unique and easy ones to do for a beginner. Great job TBB!

How do you add the green leaves, or is that only a creative mode thing?
That is using the plant everything mod but its not necessary for this build
enormous work for a central chimney in a tall house. blocks all sight lines and paths on main floor. build on perimeter of room on a short wall fewer materials, more open space.
problem with building on the side wall is that the heat does not reach the whole house

i would love to see someone recreate a viking village from a mmo i loved back in the day. It was called Fort Atla from the mmo Dark Age of Camelot. it had high earthen walls around a village and it was the only one in the game like that and i always loved its look.

@@TheBasicBuilder its an Old and by old i mean 22 or so year old game that Still has a player base today. its f2p or sub based if you want it to be.
In creative mode, you can float in air and be able to reach the higher points, but in survival/normal mode, the players would need to create stairs or foundations in order to reach.
Overall, a nice starter house.
you could also just place ladders on the roof to reach the higher points but this build is not that high at all

How did you get the vines effect on the walls? Also you are able to grow berries bushes around your builds. Are you creating them via devcommands? Eitherway amazing and simple build.
I used devcommands and a mod called plant everything. That is the only current way to make this happen. I am glad you like the build!! 😁
@@TheBasicBuilder I hope you'll make a wooden cooking/dining house one day (without stone... I love wooden buildings in Valheim, for some reason) fairly basic but for the larger fireplace that alws multiple roasting thingies and a cauldron xD

@@TheBasicBuilder yeah, maaaybe chimney since it makes more SENSE to be made of stone but not necesarily.
You are wrong about the measurement. The foundation is 12x12. Not 6x6.
You are correct it’s 6 2M beams lol
how did you add the grass onto the side of the house?
Plant Everything mod will allow you to place the vines but it’s not necessary to complete this build in survival

Hello, so I don’t use mods for weapons or armor. Because I’m in creative mode, I can craft any weapon or armor set in the game. I do this only when I’m in a certain biome

@@TheBasicBuilder Also you can build this so fast only in creative mod, so it's not like a real starter house, words that I would use for survival. However, don't take this criticism as a bad thing, aside from these facts I really like what you did, it's a beautiful house! Keep up with the good job.
@@thewizard4200 no worries buddy, I actually built this same house on our Nerdheim server. It takes only 20 mins once you have the resources

@@TheBasicBuilder The parts you didn't edit out where you're busy building the house still take 18 minutes at 1.5x speed though... thankfully the house is better than your explanation of how long it takes to build.

barely 30 seconds in and couldn't follow it because of that switching between 1m beams to 2m beams back to 1m beams couldn't figure out what to do with one side. even with the thing say 6m by 6m foundation
with the base foundation, the 1m and 2m beams are there to just figure out where I wanted the doors and windows to go. Its really up to you how you want that to look but the overall lenght are 6 2m beams. I hope this helps

go to thunderstore mod manager. It will show you how to install mods.
you using a snap mod because snapping in this game is bad?
Nope. They updated the game and when building, hit I believe Q on the keyboard and it will give you snapping points
Absolutely no clue why you aren't using object snap points

I mean... you cannot really put the veins on buildings, and admittedly that's what make this build great. Other than that, no one would build it, especially with a cart that you don't have access to in the beginning.
The cart is to fill gaps in for deco. The main purpose of the build is to show the layout and design
