    Great video, Congrats on the new Baby girl.. that's awesome! And yeah id like to see the new shop build..Definitely..
    Sry about the nerve damage, you're gonna have to deal with it. Trust me, i know hyper cold sensitive feet, and it ain't no joke.. thick wool socks are worth they're weight.. even when wet. But never dry them in the dryer or you'll have to give them to your little girl lol.

    I'm up in Alaska. I snorkeled my fist time last year. I got some neoprene socks to put on before the neoprene boots. The socks are like 2 millimeter and my boots are 8 millimeter. My feet were great. Only my hands gave me grief. Try those neoprene socks.

    The aluminum straw and lead weight created a reaction what they call "electrolysis" in the water.... causing the aluminum to oxidize away due to a micro electric current that is created between two dissimilar metals meeting in water

    Wonder how those hot hands or the ones for your shoes would help keep you warm for awhile

      Seems like the water would just ruin the reaction.

    There is a big difference between being dry, and warm. Thats the same semi-dry suit I've been using for years 🤙🏼

      @wildernesseric  10 місяців тому +1

      @PioneerPauly Yeah I really like the suit but I guess 3mil boots with wool socks was a bad idea 😆 What's your solution for the feet?

      Yeah, kinda scary, I didn't expect the numbness to not go away. Just thought it would go back to normal after my feet warmed up but not this time.

    Cold Gold Eric! Stay warm bud! Take care of your body, body temple. Make sure to drop some drain pipe behind that wall it will make that retaining wall last longer. Dan Brent

    Hey Eric. I have a small year long creek that runs through my property in Shasta Trinity National Forest.
    It's about 8ft wide, 5ft deep in the summer and 13 feet, 10 feet deep in the winter. Do you think there's gold in it? Would it be worth practicing in it?

  • @brandonjackson1434
    @brandonjackson1434 10 місяців тому

    Oh yeah, getting it in the cold,put your bare feet on the ground do it often and safely,and if your going to get them cold do it with adaptation in mind give em some cold let them rewarm ,give em some more ,and so on four or five rounds of intentionally helping them adapt,and then you gain duration safely,always safely with the cold

    • @wildernesseric
      @wildernesseric  10 місяців тому

      I've had them cold plenty of times which is why this issue surprised me. I've just never let them be so cold for so long.

    Are you wearing dive socks and boots ? I have 4m socks 6m boots i have issues with cold feet all the time so when i dredge even in summer i wear the boots and socks , if its cold cold water you can use heat pads

    • @wildernesseric
      @wildernesseric  10 місяців тому

      This trip I was wearing 3mm boots with wool socks 😆 Guess that was a dumb idea. I'm definitely gonna have to get some actual water socks and boots combo goin. Where do you get yours from?

    Be safe out there! The feeling in your feet should come back slowly, it took about 3-4 months for me one time.
