  • Sea glass hunting on various beaches is great fun! Glass Beach, Port Townsend is especially exciting when you can find a pocket full in just a few hours. Follow the excitement of each find as I scour the gravel beds.

    Oi Tim, eu adoro seus videos. Achar pedras na natureza é muito legal, se tiver mais videos poste que vou ver. Se puder diga o nome dessas pedrinhas lindas. Abraço.

    It comes full circle. We throw the trash in the water, it comes back in 30 years as polished gems.

    How can you tell difference between a clear agate that may have been tumbled by the rocks to a round or ellipse shape versus clear colored sea glass? Obvious for the blue, green, red, etc.

      I'm not sure of any specific glass beaches but if I was wanting to find one I would do research on old cities that were on the coast. I would look for locations where garbage used to be dumped and they typically did it on the beach. Do a google search for old garbage dumps. I'm sure you will find some.

      awesome.... your area is much older than the Washington State community. So, you must have a greater abundance of beaches that would provide beach glass. The only catch is finding a beach that provides good wave action that adequately processes the glass to produce good jewelry quality, i.e. frosted and pitted specimens. There should be good hunting out there. I'm envious! Good hunting!

    Wait I have Aqua sea glass and is Purple rare

    • @timblair3004
      @timblair3004  6 років тому

      Aqua pieces of sea glass are moderately hard to find or "rare." Purple or lavender shades are very rare. I have found only a few pieces of purple after several years of hunting. I'll be making a wire wrapped pendant out of my largest purple piece.

    это стекло или камни ?????

    • @timblair3004
      @timblair3004  4 роки тому

      Этот пляж покрыт множеством разных видов камней, но, смешавшись с гравийными пластами, вы также найдете много кусков морского стекла ювелирного качества, которые были сданы туда пятьдесят или шестьдесят лет назад. Море округлило и разровняло стекло в красивые морские стеклянные камни. Первоначально они были выброшены через утес и спущены на пляж в качестве мусора или старых бутылок, посуды, стаканов или домашнего мусора.
