How do you know it’s impressive? Everytime these things are showed with modifications there are never any numbers to back up their claims. No draggy, no track times no anything. Just dynos that can be manipulated
@@mogulme6190Not true. There’s a C8 running low 10s at 130+ with FBO on E85. I think this setup, with a drag pack is capable of high 9 second ETs at 135mph

really really awesome build man. i love the base model c8, and i love how it sticks true to what a corvette is, and has that classic NA cross plane crank v8. the heads/cam/manifold/TB build you have is such a tried and true formula on every generation of vette, so cool to see it in its modern form making so much power.

Your car looks stunning and sounds fantastic! I watched that clip of the reckless driver; something similar happened to me the other day. I was simply testing my C8’s exhaust and took a quick spin when suddenly, a guy in a Honda appeared out of nowhere, doing something similar. Anyway, your car mods are awesome!

And now my interest in the C8 spikes, that thing sounds nasty choppin at idle and those crisp shifts 👌🏼
I think we’ll start seeing a lot more stuff now with the C8’s as people start tuning them. Hopefully companies can keep moving forward with development on other aspects of the car as well like transmission tuning.

Just caught this vid. Love your approach. I have been wanting to take a direction to more power. Can you share cost of heads/cams etc. last I checked, the cam packages were double digits. Putting it close to other power options.

How do DCT transmissions get along with high performance/high lift cams?
So far it's been good. NO drivability issues whatsoever. So far I've put about 1,000 miles on the setup with no issues.
Any details on how you handled the tuning for this? What process do you go through in order to make adjustments? Was there any live-time dyno tuning or was it a "loaded tune" to accommodate the mods?
Boost District handled everything in regard to the tuning when installing the heads and cam. The unlocking of the cars computer and the actual tuning of the car. I didn’t have to mess with any of it. When I make future changes on the car I will just take it back to them for updated tuning. If it were something simple I believe there is a way to do it remotely. I’d just prefer to have them do it all in person. Plus it gives me an excuse to go out of town for a bit.
Finally an n/a build! I heard the carbon ptr intake really makes more power with higher rpm...so idk how feasible that is in this motor etc.
👍 I would agree that this intake helps up top. Hopefully as time goes on people keep pushing the C8 platform and we keep seeing more developments with these cars.

Very good numbers for a NA car , are you running e85 as well? What's the cost of that set up ? Compare to the ridiculous Boost prices for this cars so far. 600rwhp NA with the mid engine set up would probably run low 10s
No e85 on it as of this video. I planned to do e85 this spring but change of plans. It’s about 12k for heads/cam/tuning. Could be more depending on other parts you may want to add like CAI, intake manifold, cats, etc.
What kind of rims did you get bud? They look nice. And what sizes did you run?
These are Forgestar CF 10’s. 20x9 in front with a 255/30/20 PS4 tire and rear is a 21x12 with a 325/25/21 PS4 tire.

In the middle of doing a heads/cam build now myself. Had all other bolt ons already possible and hp tuners computer unlock with full e85 tune. Looking for 625 wheel if possible.

If you’re using a dynocom you’ll probably hit 625. Dynocom is highly inflated . They average 530 on e85 on a dynojet . It’s nowhere near 600whp na.
@mikederosa8997 a full bolt on with heads and cam package on e85 is only at 530whp....no way. Im not on any dynocom btw but im over 530hp now on my current tune and bolt ons.

@@dc4l751 no you aren’t lol. Don’t cry when your dyno shows 480whp . Tuning is not there yet . Minimal adjustments on fuel and timing are the only things you can do on a c8.
Why is the cylinder deactivation annoying?
nice, that cam would benefit from a few hundred more RPM,when it shifts to next gear it would fall into a better Hp curve.hopefully they will break that next.

Random question, how does your screen look like it does with the revs? Is it a 2023? The info on the screen just looks different
Thanks man. Mine is a 23. I have the Track gauge cluster setup on there. Once the Track gauge cluster is the selected screen. Go to the right info tile through the steering wheel control, scroll over to options, then tachometer, change to numerical. I think that’s what you’re asking about.

Also how has it been with the tire sizes you have now? 255 in the front and 325in the rear. Are there any extra modifications needed? Thinking of doing something similar next time I need new tires. I do have the paragon wheel spacers not sure if you think that’ll make a difference
These sizes are almost perfect fitment wise with the car lowered on the stock suspension in my opinion. No spacers were used on this car. The wheels sit pretty flush with the body. No other modifications needed with this wheel/tire setup.

I’m looking at something identical, but unsure if BD or LMR. Mine is a daily so I am looking at a higher LSA and don’t want quite the chops for my personal car (SOUNDS MEAN THOUGH!!). How is the stop light to stop light? I cannot stand the car just shaking at the light or having vacuum pulled to where the car seems like it’s about to stall/idle surge. How is the car in those regards? How serious of a cam did you go with?
I don’t have experience with LMR but I don’t think you can go wrong with them. They have a very good reputation. BD was great to deal with. Very accommodating and their work has been flawless so far. They seem to be very involved with the C8 platform. I have only taken it out a couple times since having it back due to weather but will get more miles on it once the weather gets nice and all the pot holes around here are filled. With the cam it doesn’t shake to bad at idle. A little bit but not like an old school hot rod or anything. Im like you and did not want to experience the car sounding like it was going to stall while idling due to the cam and it does not. This cam is a custom grind for BD specifically but Id say it’s comparable to a 220 cam.

Looking at boosting the hp of mine like this as well. Supercharge kits are insanely overpriced and this seems like a better middle ground.
How much did you spend roughly on all of this installed?
To replicate this exact engine/exhaust setup you're looking at roughly $18-19k. About $5500 of that is in the intake manifold and cat back alone. That's ball parking it off the top of my head with prices I paid. I plan on putting out a detailed video of cost breakdown to build this car very soon.

I’d say they’re a pretty good choice. $2500 for the Frankenstein heads.
@@eight16garageWhat was the total cost of package with labor? Im trying to decide to do this for their 2650 kit which is 25-30k with headers, axels, Throttle body ect. My tuned by Tapout ATSV outs 501 hp & tq down @ wheels but traction is limited due to no weight over wheels. Im considering the heads & cam exactly like yours should be perfect. Quick enough for fun but not having to think about slowly rolling in the throttle due to tq hit.

Good on ya, but if my C8 sounded like that at idle or under throttle, I would want it in another body style/chassis.

@@eight16garagei personally like that about the car. It has a stout engine from a manufacturer that has basically mastered its architecture over decades. The sound is what everyone screams MERICA is. But it has a dct and is a mid-engine sports coupe. It’s hard to get better than that. I wonder if people will be able to do this to the e-ray

Have you had any transmission issues? My friends 2024 c8 stingray transmission went out at 470 miles. Found out it’s a common thing.
I’ve had 2 C8’s and not 1 transmission issue with either car.

The RPM for the 599rwhp of 6150 is very low and torque number of 531 is very high for 6.2L. I was expecting it to be already on e85 to get these numbers especially the torque.
Wish you guys would show some 60-130 times or trap speeds. Really can’t get a sense of anything from this video.

I’m gonna try to get a draggy. There is a local guy that has a C8 Z06 that I’ve talked to about getting the cars together as well and doing some sort of head to head. Just gotta lineup our schedules and have some good weather.

AMP Performance has a stage 4 heads/cam C8, they have a video running from a dig against a C8Z and the Stingray walks away (more low end torque/pushrod) from a roll it’s pretty close, drivers race…. Nice build!! I’ve got a 23 as well,,, I’m debating on an n/a build verses TT 🤷♂️
