I met Hulk twice as a young fan he talk to me longer than he was supposed to and hugged me seemed like a great dude sometimes shit just happens
Really? It just happens? Pick me ass people are why we’re in these situations.
Booker has always proven to be one of the truly good people in wrestling throughout his time in the spotlight, but I gained even more respect for him than I already had due to the way he handled this situation. The things that Hogan said were unacceptable by any stretch of the imagination, but Booker handled it like a true gentleman. He was once given a second chance and proved to everyone that he was greater than his own mistakes, and decided to give Hogan an opportunity to do the same. If we all believed in forgiveness and second chances, the world we be a much better place.

I’m glad that Hulk is trying to make up for his mistakes and Booker is giving him a chance to speak honestly about the situation. They’re both legends and good men. I don’t think they should be defined by the bad things they’ve done in the past. Don’t have to forget what they’ve done, but as long as they are genuinely changing, they should be forgiven.

@Char Aznable nobody is justifying his actions. Shit even HH himself is justifying it. When you understand the difference between justifying and forgiving a man come back and we will try this conversation again.
I've been a hulkamaniac since i can remember, and as a black person, it hurt me to hear him say that. But I forgave him man we have all said and done things we regret! There's a difference between saying the wrong thing and doing the wrong thing. If Hogan was mistreating black people or something like that, it would be different. Life is too short to not give someone the opportunity to redeem themselves.
Perfectly said
Yo, I remember my boss was a racist at my job and no one knew until he admitted it one day after I spotted a swastika tattoo on his arm. He use to hide it with his long sleeve shirt but one day he had them rolled up. I say that to say that there some people that are really good at hiding it. Just because they are around black people or there kids are well behaved doesn't mean that they are not racist. I was shocked when I found out that he didn't like black people and he was honest enough to come out and tell me the truth when I asked him why he had that type of tattoo. He told me that he didn't like any race including black people and that white people were superior to all racist. I learned a valuable lesson that day. You never really know what people have in there heart. It is what it is.
I wouldn’t compare hulk to that guy

This isn't a situation of "oops I [Hogan] said something wrong". It's a bit deeper than that. Context is everything.
Here's what Hogan said: “I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f-k some n--r, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n--r worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player! I guess we’re all a little racist. F-king n--r.”
This is the same Hogan that "has Black friends and has children that are not racists".
If all that is true, about why he supposedly "isn't racist", then I hold him EVEN MORE ACCOUNTABLE for his words and what may or may not be going on with him on a deeper level.
Why would a man with "Black friends", who raised his kids to "not be racists" have THAT sort of reaction towards a Black man dating his daughter?
Make that make sense.
You're pissed off at the Black man for whatever reason and the first thing you do is call him racial slurs? Why not call him a "b!tch" or an "a$$hole" or any number of derogatory terms to describe the person you're angry with?
If he's not racist then I'd also like to know what you call a person that is supposedly "not racist", yet they still used racial slurs.
Can't call it an accident, because he knew that man was Black, so he chose to call him racial slurs while he was angry.
We've all been angry, but do we all hop on the racial train whenever someone of another race pisses us off? I certainly don't.
It'd be cool if Hogan gave us answers or if he was actually questioned in a more sociological, critical thinking, unbiased level.
Missed opportunity to learn and grow.
Made me think about that lol
Booker T had once called Hogan a n***er...and no one cared. I don't like Hogan and he may be racist but I don't care. He hasn't hurt any black person that I know of. There is this thing called free speech. He has the right to it.

This is so awesome. Booker is the man for having Hulk Hogan on his show. I just got one question. Why can’t people like ric flair own up to his mistake for calling Theodore long the N-word back in the day? By the way, I am still a hulk Hogan fan.
True!I would of liked to have Flair at least speak to Teddy and address his actions.
Sadiki Akil from what I heard on kayfabe commentaries that Teddy said if he speaks to him then cool. But if he doesn’t, he doesn’t. He says that they speak to each other every now and then. Some people say that the nature boy is still a racist although African-Americans hang around him. There is one more person in the four Horsemen who is like that as well. Tully Blanchard. They even said the late Dusty Rhodes was a racist which I totally doubt that. If you read his book, he said he was around Latinos, and even African-Americans who he had as friends. I really hope that Theodore long and ric flair can mend a fence one day with each other. Booker was right. It’s how you are raised. If I said something racist, my mother and grandmother would have beaten me. Unfortunately, both of them are dead and gone.

There’s rumor and innuendo that he called Jaquelyn the N-word. But there’s one person you don’t hear about at all and only good things about him. That is one of my favorite members of the four Horsemen. Arn Anderson who was close friends with ric.
I can see why Booker has gotten to where he is, great attitude and extremely in tune with the world. It would be much easier to throw Hogan under the bus, but instead he remembered his friend and stood by him when it wasn't popular to do so. He also relied on his own life experience on how to judge others when they make mistakes. That's called loyalty and real friendship, something that rarely exists anymore in the keyboard/social justice warrior age. Big props to Booker and Hulk also for manning up a bit on this.

@@4everyoung869 boy I'd whip yo ass!!! You don't know shit about me dude. Go ahead and get it all off ya chest....thats not you in real life.
He may have changed but who really knows
@@4everyoung869 Michael has a point though.. Hogan is only apologizing because he was caught, and he doesn't want to ruin his image, his career, and everything he's worked for.
I will never look at him the same either.. simply because the Hogan we all grew up watching wasn't known for making racist statements.
Don't get me wrong... Most people (if not all people) say things in the privacy of their homes that they wouldn't say in public.
I have a lot of White friends that I have a good relationship with, but i don't know what they may be saying about me or Black people in general in their privacy. That's just how life is lol
People are really themselves behind closed doors
Exactly.
I've been black for 54 years. Lol
Hulk broke my 9 year old heart when I heard it, I was about 27 real world wise. It’s hard to see your heroes disgraced. As much as we try it’s hard to view him as the the vitamin chewing hulk, even as the Hollywood black beard hulk. It’s hard...
Everyone needs to be given a 2nd chance though. A chance to grow and learn. I think he deserves that, because hes shown he is trying.
@@ASHTREY I hear you, but this is the age of social enlightenment. People are becoming aware of things they never were. My dad is a prime example of this. He is 75, and used to be fairly racist and say mean stuff. My brothers and I have taught him it's not okay and shown him why, and he has learned and understands. Back then those things were just more accepted, and that generation was raised in this manner. It's on us to help rehabilitate them, or at least give them another chance if they've shown that they want to try to better themselves.
It's not hard at all. FuC$ em.
Get over it. He's apologised enough. He's not the problem anymore. It's the people unwilling to forgive that is the problem.
@@frostbite585 thank you for sharing that.im glad you said that and it touched my heart.honestly thank you for sharing that
I've been a Hulk Hogan fan every since I was young and one thing I've seen is, maybe I don't know him personally but I do know for a fact Hulk Hogan is the reason for a lot of Black Talent in the entertainment sport of wrestling
If she just called someone an N word it would have been one thing what what he said was much worse. And even that first thing is way too much. So it is like crossing the line.. then crossing 3 more times.
JoeyTheRedKangaroo
Exactly. His racist rant spoke volumes, regardless of the use of the “N word.”
To be honest after Hawk said that on top of Mel Gibson I started feeling like I lost all my child hood hero’s. It was like who’s next to come out?
6:03 Nooo Booker, nobody should ever be given a pass to use that word.
Bradman77 facts
Bradman77 grow the fuck up. In the real world, you will hear things you don't like. The word only has as much power as you give it. That's the reason black people started calling each other "nigga". To take the power away from the word. I've heard white people say it to white people. Black to white. White to black. Even when some puts the "er" at the end and means it racist, once again, in the real world, it fuckin happens. Why can't we act like grown up people? Hatred will always exist. Why be afraid of it?
@Hamza in what language
@@bub927 how does giving a white dude a pass to call u the n-word (in any context) equate to being "grown up"? booker is a clown for that.
@@fruitsnack7042 I agree and he just wanted to keep his job and money. No white will refer to me as a slave.
There is no excuse for your racist behaviour. It was already in your heart. No excuse for that. Heat of passion my ssa.
Book was like, " I was in the hood...lololol"
I hate that word and I don’t go off hating things and people. I’m happy to hear this interview because I was a #Hulkamaniac glad to comeback to #Hulkamania👍👍🗽🇺🇸
Thats not the only time Hulk Hogan said racial slurs. He was upset that hia daughter was dating a black guy. He was on tape calling the guy the N word multiple times and saying he is racist to a certain point.
I’ve always been a fan of both of them so Shoutout to Reality of Wrestling mistakes happen I’m from Memphis deep in the South so this is nothing compared what really goes on in the world Great interview Book 👍🏾
Me too. Mtown represent
HULK HOGAN WE COMING FOR YOU
NIGGA!!
Well let me tell you something brother
Thanks Booker T for having this interview.
I always liked Hulk Hogan as a wrestler. It took me for a spin when I heard about that N-word. I'm glad he came on Brookers show and admit to it and cleared it up. I was holding feelings against Hogan for that... Thank you Hogan for clearing it up and Brooker thanks for giving Hogan the opportunity and means to speak out about that spin. Hogan we are cool again.

I've never been a HulkaManiac but Im a HollyWood Hogan Fan (Nw0) and Harlem Heat fan 4 Life. Good clip.
Booker can hold this L for giving Brian man a pass to call him the N word.
He said that dude's like a brother

Booker's face on the thumbnail had me weak lmao
I call bullshit on Hogan because he didn't just blurt out the word. He used it by it's true definition when he basically said in so many words how inferior Brooke's black boyfriend was.
Booker T is cool 😎
Let Go cooler than the other side of the pillow
@@RealityOfWrestling lol agreed
Booker is truly amazing so empathetic and understanding
This was a great video. I am so glad to see that Hogan did get the chance to clear the air, so to speak. I never once thought of him as a racist. In fact, at this point there is no one that I think of as a racist because we are all humans and are thus all part of one, very large, human race. I have personally interacted with a great many of the various ethnic groups that comprise our human race, and have enjoyed all of those opportunities a great deal. I think that this is what I like about the WWE, and I think prowrestling as a whole. They have tried to include as many different parts of the human race as possible, and that's why I have enjoyed watching it for so long. One person crying "racism" could conceivably end the whole thing, and all because the person who made the accusation forgot that we are all one race. I pray that never happens. Thanks for posting this video.
This was a real good segment from all parties involved 👍🏾👍🏾
I love that there is an open dialogue. Makes me respect Booker T and Hogan even more. In this PC/Offended culture we are living in. Its very refreshing to see this type of discussion.
Facts
I have been watching wrestling since 89 and I have never been a Hogan fan. When his story emerge it cemented more reasons why I never liked him.it is the year 2020 I am tire of disliking somebody and having bitterness in my heart. I forgive him. Everybody needs forgiveness even those who you have dislike your whole life.
This was a great discussion. Really happy I watched.
Booker is a true professional, alot of people would still judge Hogan but he can relate because he has also made mistakes in the past that don't define him...
It hurt like hell to hear my Idol say that but where all human I get it. Glad he apologized that's all I wanted.
I'm sorry but plenty of former Black wrestlers have come out and stated how racist World Wrestling Entertainment and it's competitors were behind the scenes. Ahmad Johnson in particular went in on Vince and his executives for how bigoted they were. Even Bookers on brother Stevie came out about how jacked up it's been for Black wrestlers. Booker T and Mark Henry towed the company line through all of the accusations of racism. Booker is one of those Black men who would apologize for being Black if it made his White friends more comfortable. I don't know what's in Hogan's heart, but the top WWE wrestlers, along with Vince and his executives, have ALWAYS been a "good ol boys" club. Hogan was a part of that club for the majority of his career.
Hogan is real guy. I wasn’t a hulkamania fan but I like Terry Bollea
Come on dude, of course he going to act sorry, I just read what he said in that rant, he showed he was definitely racist and admitted it, he didn't know someone was recording
Good on you, boy.
A racist seem to be always be a racist. To make that statement is something deep inside. I never thought much about this man.
Great interview. Booker is pro and Hulk sounds genuine.
The only thing genuine about Hogan is that he genuinely wouldnt put Shawn Michaels over...
I met Hulk Hogan Backstage at Impact Wrestling, the man was so cool with me! i remember he was the first Wrestling action figure i owned, i don't care what Terry Bollea does, but i will always be a Hulk Hogan fan.
Since posting these videos everyone that’s met or worked with him all seem to have great stories of kindness.
Reality Of Wrestling Who were those people? Literally every shoot interview I've seen besides Eric Bischoff all say he's a terrible guy who only cares about himself. To be fair I've haven't heard people call him racist but they all say he's a jerk.

Thanks 2 Hogan, Booker & Stevie Ray & many others got their big break in wrestling. In the long run, he was always a friend & ally 2 African Americans
I *never* have and never will believe that _"Hulk Hogan"_ is a racist.
Well, in the audio, Hogan, in his own words, said he was a racist. He didn't slip with the word, he used it multiple times very casually and said "if we are going to f*ck with N's let's get a rich one". It wasn't said in anger or anything. When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.
