When will your boat be done?
How about speakers in those itty bitty spaces?
🎶🎙️
People who say you are picky forget that _someone_ has to make _every_ decision about that boat. Every railing has to end somewhere. Every table has to have a specific size. When you praise a builder for "attention to detail", _these_ _are_ the details.
thanks for watching
That's the same freaking thing I was thinking, the devil is in the details.
I figure if you spend that much money you are authorized to be picky. I mean this boat is millions of bucks and you only get one shot to get it right from the start without another expensive refit.
Виктория, а вы принципиально не ведете на русском??
Victoria and Rico I think you both are doing an amazing job everyone is learning Thank you. Victoria could never annoy me. She's on it. 😉
You're not demanding! It's a semi-custom build! Ask for anything you want, they can only say yes, no, or it'll cost you. To anyone complaining that Victoria and Rico are demanding customers: trust me, the Bering guys are boat builders, designing and tweaking boats is why they show up every day, and they'll be just as curious and twice as proud to see the finished vessel. It's great to see this process, keep asking questions and pushing these guys to be their best!
Damn right
Was at a State University Dental School having work done. Been going there for years. Two of the smartest students working on me stood out like a sower thumb (in a good way), because they demanded the instructors time and even challenged them. I mentioned to one of the students that I have never seen students as assertive as they were. One student looked at me and said bluntly, I am paying $250,000.00 for this education and I want my money's worth. I said, enough said-good on you.
Wow. So many details. I agree with Victoria that anything that can become storage should!
Can't wait to see this come together!!!
Thank youuu
Exactly. No one is ever going to say, wow, I really wish we had less storage on this boat. When it comes to storage, more is always better, as long as it can be properly organized.
My engineer side loves when you talk about the details of such project and the time it takes to browse all the plans. Having the ability to envision the final product from the drawing is not given to everybody (I'm talkng from experience). Thanks for this (short) BTS :)
Very true!
I like their 3D drawing package Bering uses. Your build will become the model for future builds for charter customers. Although it's a lot of work, you are able to design the boat to meet your charter needs. Thanks for sharing.
thanks for watching
Cannot wait until this baby is completed so that we loyal followers can get a test ride/cruise... 😎
🎉🎉😝
It’s quite the process. I’m sure it may seem a little frustrating at times, but it’ll be so worth it.
It’ll be one special boat once it’s completed.
agreed!
I think you are just using your experience from many of the good ideas you have gleaned from the boats you have seen and reviewed. I see it as a win win for Bering and yourself. I hope to see it at a Florida boat show one day!
you will!
Because of your super valuable input, all the upcoming hulls will be much better.
People who say you're hard to work with have never worked on a build project. They have no clue.
Thank you for your kindness
I’m amazed by the depth of interaction between you guys a the builder. If I was two build another 75 I would lean heavily on your design. It appears to be extremely well thought out.
Rico, it’s real for us who appreciate. Everyone is different. 😊
💙🙏🏻
Seems like you all have some fun in these sessions - even if its loads of details and time consuming. Vladimir has a great sense of humor!
yes we dooo lol
You and Bering will gain so much from this effort. I have spent a lifetime designing and building large complex software systems and the really good results will last for decades.
Thanks for the kind words David
I think you guys are doing an amazing job. You are not being annoying. It’s your money, it needs to be the way you want it.
Very well said - appreciate you JR
The shipyard is probably very happy to have your experience and input to help them going forward.
Collaboration isn't always easy or glamorous but it can get laughs! You are designing a purpose built system of serious complexity that hasn't been done before. You bring enormous experience from all those tours plus you charter work. Fantastic.
David you are the best!
...huge asset to Bering to have you guys show them what the consumer may want. Picky is good.
Awwww thank you Tim!
Sharing your journey of building this amazing new Berring 75 Yacht has been so interesting and Fantastic! I really enjoyed your interview with The CrewChef over the kitchen layout as I have followed her channel as well. What a fantastic company you are working with! I am just so impressed with how much thought, design, engineering, and feeling goes into this process. Every square foot is given so much thought! I am so looking forward to the day when you can start operations with this amazing new Yacht !!!
I began thinking that it was awful late in the process for these discussions, then I saw the date on the laptop. Made a lot more sense!
lol
Best channel of the year award goes to nautiguys 😂😂
A brilliant insight to the complexity of such an important project for your future. Get it right because when its finished its got to work for you as a home and also as your business. Thanks for letting us see this.
Thanks for watching Philip
Definitely going to be a great #1 for Bering. Can only better going forward but not by much!
The table you reference at the end of the clip can have 4 corners that fold in and out and be able to turn 90 degrees to make a better coffee table when closed a lowered and a supper table when opened and raised. I’ve seen them before, it’s a clever solution.
it sure is
That was very informational and I admire your patience, and now how of what to do just as long as at the end of the day you’re on the same page
Not sure why people think you're overwhelming. You are building a custom (semi custom) yacht, and spending a metric shit ton of money. I totally understand. If not you could have bought an "off the shelf" yacht. Thanks for sharing the journey.
agreed!
Victoria: most people don't realise how intensive building a yacht is
Rico (speaking to naval architect) : yeah I'm not happy with the profile of the air flow around the rails, change the air.
😂😂😂❤
Pretty crazy to watch the detail they can go into with the modeling!
You guys rock, Bering is so lucky to have you! Cy from La Jolla
Best nautiguys vid yet... give us more REAL content!!!!
you got it Jason
oooh ooh ooh I'm on time for the Premiere!!!
yeay!!
Was going to bed, but I'll stay up to watch this (it starts at 10pm local here)
yeaayy! Thank you
Fascinating! Thanks for the insight!
Thank you for watching!
Interesting. Glad to see you all not stressing too much over everything. Love you guys! 😍😘
Thanks for allowing us into the room and the process, personally I think having a well-informed client generating lots of new ideas, and hands-on experienced ideas would be great - don't feel the need to apologise for anything, at the end of the day it is after all your money! Hats off to the patience of the design team as well, you can see they take a lot of pleasure in what they do and how they engage with their clients... - looking forward to watching the build evolve...
Absolutely!
I ordered my hat finally. Also added a note about glasses in the future. So happy your hard work is paying off. ❤ you guys
Awesome! Thank you!
Funny intermezzo about being a tough client because when I actually see this and previous interactions, I see that all parties are very interested to listen to and learn from each other. One thing 's for sure, you will know your Bering inside and out!
Well said!
Something to consider
Heat pump washer/dryer units. All in one units. No vent required, uses same drain as wash cycle.
So same space as washer and dryer, you have two heat pump units. Possibly Getting laundry completed quicker.
Great idea using lazaret for toy locker.
I like the under cabin storage in the bow, where one recent boat had twin freezers and lots of room for storage shelves like another ship you showed. Access was under steps or hatch
Great episode! Stay safe and keep rolling NautiGuys! 👍👍
Thanks! You too!
@@NautiGuys 👍👍
Can't wait to see this boat
same here
So wise , Thank You for showing us some of the design process .
Glad you liked it!
Hey, it's a # NautiGuys vessel, and no one else's. It's your dime, and build it the way you all want it. You can't go back and make a change when it's done. I think it's fantastic that you are covering your bases, and it's great to see that the people at Bering is showing all the willingness to work on all the details with you both. Great Company for sure.
I can't wait to see the boat finished. ...first in line for the charter!
that’s right Tim 😉
I can recall how many times you referenced your NBBL in your tours over the last few years, it’s a long list! You two have SO MUCH knowledge that you’re actually doing Bering a service by sharing it with them for all their future clients. All I know is that if I were to ever be able to get a custom Bering yacht I’d say “Just make it exactly like Rico and Victoria’s 75!”
Awwww thank you so much for your kind words 💙🙏
So many things to think about, you guys are doing a great job working as a team. Can't wait to see it is going to be Fantastic
Thanks so much!
Wow! I completely underestimated the level of detail that needs to be discussed and agreed upon! It’s a good job that you two have such definite views after so many years experience. Vladimir is certainly a patient man!! A great video.
Bring it on !
💙💙💙
It's. Your money...custom builders cater to that.
Your new boat , seems to reflect that they are on top and building a perfect boat that is Your dream...😊😊😊
Salute😊 I can't wait to see it in the water doing what boats do.😊😊 in the end. You will know where every nut, bolt, seem, line, hose is 😊😊
It is a little (maybe a lot) silly, but I feel like I’m in there with you guys and part of the process. I love what y’all are doing, love the boat, love Alexi, love Bering, and can’t wait to see the yacht when it’s done. So exciting!
With each design angle and useable space make now, you help on down to line. keep bouncing idea’s around. great video as always.
Great job with the details guys! I love how it’s all coming together.😎 and I always hit the like button first thing because your content is always great and there is never any doubt that I will like it!!!
I'd be interested to see what the 3D render looks like now, after changes, as compared to December 2022 when this was filmed.
It's coming along.
Cool video for sure, being curious and asking a lot of questions is never a bad thing in a start of a project.
Definitely!
It's Your Money!! Be as demanding as you like. Can't imagine Bering not trying to make every possible idea into a reality.
Thanks from İstanbul
Very cool another episode! Watching now! 👀👀
yeay!
@@NautiGuys 👍👍
It’s going to be funny when you guys are sitting on the other side of the table back in the USA when your selling a Bering yacht, it’s actually great because you will be able to empathize with your new sales prospects
I total get why you are doing the what and why's - it's the first hull, learning for Bering too. I would be just as invested if I ever had the chance to build a Bering! Love the coverage. *hugs*
Those that complain about your wishes for the yacht, don't get how other customers will be... Number one, you are friendly and are discussing ideas. Bering also gets something out of this collaboration - new ideas! And when I see how they treat you I can see, that they are not just polite, but friendly. And if you dealt with really rich people before, who usually would be the ones who afford such yachts, you know how many of them can treat others. I guess that those who wrote that, they never have done anything like that or any experience in a market that is a super luxurious field! And those working in such fields most of the time are happy to get challenges, because that brings them a step further in their development and what they can offer in the future.
I think it is a great thing to be able to be that much involved in the build as you are. Demanding on your part - yes. Overwhelming - at times maybe. But if I was to invest that kind of money in a new new ship ( as you say hull #1), I would be as well - if time permitted. Great job you two - and love to follow "the journey" you are on. Can´t wait to see the final result and first splash and virgen journey.
Love it
💙💙💙
You're gonna need a bigger boat... 😜
Easiest way to address any concerns with, for example, storage. Or space for subwoofers 😊
You NautiGuys know what's best for your yacht. This is a great collaboration, especially on hull 1! My thought's are Bering will be even better after this as many of your ideas wll be instilled into the future of Bering. As I may not be as experienced when I purchase my Bering, I'll just ask for a copy of the NautiGuys 75 with whatever current upgrades are available. Congrats and keep up the great teamwork! 👍👍
You should be picky….this is not a cheap build. This is not only you home but a business that will last for many years . That fact that you get to be so involved and invested in the ship building process is pretty amazing. Still so jealous 😊
Awwwww thanks Jimmy
You need that extra table gap for easy access. Doing a great job. Thanks for sharing!
Yer on it like a car bonnet 👌
Love the tea, earl grey man meself, there's something about Turkish tea/coffee that gets ye chatting comfortably.
Brilliant stuff guys, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
It’s just like designing and building a custom home.
exactly!
What I see is you two are building a ocean going ship/home and you picked the right ship yard to build your dream yacht and like building a home on land you have choices of what you would like and what can be done but on top of that you and Bering have to build a ship that can sail thru a storm at sea.
I am enjoying watching your journey to build your first ship.
How are the flight lessons going ?
God Bless
I saw a missed spelled word so I edited
Thank youuu! oh he is flying, it's going 😝
I loved the level of detail. This is what used to be called "the nitty gritty". Cheers !
I can only imagine the stress of building a custom Yacht there are so many choices and decisions fortunately you have some really talented people helping you to make your dream come true.
you are soooo right
Nothing beats a mock up (cheap 2x2s + carboard) to get a precise feel for a layout, would save so much time, and eliminate so much of the guess work. Yes you guys are right to be picky about every little detail, this serves you and future Bering clients. The Big Girl is going to be Beautiful + Sexy, with a wicked set of speakers to light the night on fire!!!!!!!
I bet you have both left some of these collaboration meeting with 1 huge headache before you get into the wine & beer. Like building a house, once in you will find lots that you will say, “Next time we’ll add/remove or change this. It’s never perfect! Good informative video guys. Thanks 🙏🇨🇦👍
If you want to understand the construction and later if everything is ready to go to be in the Position to handle every Situation out on the Ocean: you need to ask!
Yes seen similar from back in the day. Now planning much better with the computer abilities to see ahead of time. Not a bunch of drawings or photos from other builds. Keep going ahead.
💙🙏
The table, add the wings on hinges from under the table
I am a proud member now ❤
YEAAAYYYYY welcome to the memberships!
@@NautiGuys thank you 🙏
Regards to your involvement in the build, ITS YOUR MONEY. Not someone leaving a comment. You have to protect your investment, get what you want, build your dream, compromise a bit, but build it to your requirements and specifications. The hands off approach “let the builder handle it” is exactly why there are SO many inefficient crappy homes and RV builds littered across the country.
You are very fortunate that you have built such a fabulous relationship with Bering that they are so accommodating and willing to entertain an idea. Sometimes the answer is no, but something you come up with could be a feature built into future boats as a standard option that benefits more owners down the line.
I personally like your manual sunshade idea. Simple, easy, elegant and provides glare reduction and privacy. The only thing you said that my eyes bugged out on was when Victoria said “8 guests”….No way would I charter to 8 guests at once. Maybe 6 and only that if 2 were kids. hell, I don’t even like that many people haha!
awww thank you for your kind words - really appreciate it 💙🙏
Rico, Your meticulous attention to detail is essential for a project like this, regardless of what any of the less informed individuals may say!
When you and Victoria are investing this amount of money into a vessel and business, you deserve to have it as close to your idea of perfection as humanly possible.
Wishing you the absolute best on this venture and your future endeavors.
Many Blessings!! 🙏🕊️💙⚓️☀️🌊🌴
Awwww thank you sooo much for your kindness Brent!
Future idea. I hope they will allow you to do a separate build idea using the 145. Being an explorer yacht would like to see a plan that would include a submarine. Being an explorer yacht, I would like to really explore. So a submarine would be a must have item for that size yacht.
👌
This is similar to the number of decisions that you need to make when building a house. It is challenging. I agree that you need to use available storage space but you cannot add latches and drains every 2 feet without driving costs through the roof. However you can connect spaces and make multiple uses of single things. I can understand that hull 2 is easier to tweak than hull 1. You always see smart new ideas to add. I hope you are constantly relooking at already built hull lengths above and below the 75 for ideas to steal. It is always easier to say we want to duplicate what you did with the benches you built on the 70’ we were on yesterday or we liked the steel bar used for ropes in the bow of the 145’.
And the best request
Rico you're my audio consultant for my yacht for when I win the lottery! lol hehe
awwww thanks Jason 🙏
I still see you mounting a recessed hot tub on the bow, an evolution on st Barth 75 layout ❤
🙃
Victoria went with that RED Hat so you know she meant business lol
A year ago you did a walkthrough of a silent 60 and seamed interested in the Kit Sail System; but have not anything else about it. You even talked about adding it to your NBBL list.
Have the table rotate 90 degrees when raced up..... Then u only need one extension to the aft to have dinner sized table.... swivel bar could do the trick...
Thanks for the tip! 💙🙏
These build videos are great. Do other buyers visit the builders as much as you two?
prob not lol
I'm a master cabinetmaker. Peope who are complaining you're demanding too much have no idea what it means to make anything custom. You're paying good money to a reputable builder. Demanding what you want on a semi-custom 4 or 5 million dollar yacht isn't unreasonable.
Reaction to not wanting to work with you guys.... WTF???
You guys are so creative and know your needs and can articulate them so, you building a boat that will fit you. ALSO... this is a custom boat... it has to be HORRIBLE to work with clients who don't know what they want. Then, don't remember what they wanted because they just picked whatever.... my in-law's kitchen is nearly unworkable because they worked with a designer and just said yes to whatever she suggested. It is a disaster and I hope that when they go to sell the house, nobody really looks at the functionality of the pretty kitchen.
Additionally, there may be things that Bering will incorporate into future builds. Ideas and creativity are gold!
It will also be so amazing how intimately you know your boat!!!
We will definitely need the later video... top 10 things I love and 10 things I wish I could change. It will be so interesting to see if you find anything you wish you could change. (Probably will be the color or durability of the couch cushions. or maybe the scent of your soap, this boat will be so amazing!)
That is really a lot of head-scratching work. It's a good thing everyone on your design team has a sense of humor. It's very exciting to see things come together as you work too. I'm surprised they don't have a human-scale figure you can drop into a space to give you an idea how big it is onscreen, I'd think that would make dimensions more obvious. Thanks for letting us in on the process!
Thanks for sharing our journey with us!
I saw a documentary somewhere. The bulbous bow ( the round lower front of the ship) Jacques Cousteau mounted one on the front of his ship the calypso and had portholes in it so people could see out the bow of the ship!!! Every time I see yours reminds me of it!!! Add to the list ? Lol though sounds lil dangerous ! But cool!
👌
I like the idea of the shade across the stern... I would not make it electric or pull down.. I would make it snap on at 4 corners with "D" rings or similar. and have the "shade" snap on when needed.. and you could use it for a simple sun shade, or snap on a waterproof one etc. or string something else like a banner etc. in the simple eye bolt /D ring locations.. You could also put more eye bolt/ D ring locations around the boat to use the sun shade etc. on the dock side / sun side whatever for privacy when wanted... Just a thought. Cheap idea for the same shade to be used mutable places on the boat..
"Disco lights in the bilge," lol.
They look like twon brothers...
Will you put a 'Shoe Drawer' on each side of the cockpit so people aren't waiting to climb the steps while others slip into deck shoes/slippers?Can they put Ports outside for remote controls so you don't have multiple 'Docking stations',but have just 2 remotes to plug in as you move about to view?(So you can take 1 from either control point out onto the decks). You could have a manual cranking awning for rewinding the sunshade you asked for.
I have the perfect name for your boat. "ROX and ROLL". Playing on your name and the music theme and what a boat does on water. I would include a couple of musical notes around the name.
Hi both.
💙💙
What dafting program is being used ?
