When you review yachts over even 5-10 years old, you can notice differences in styling and function. An industry very adaptable to it’s clients wants and needs.
I agree, but one good thing with a little "older" yacht is that it might be improved by an owner. Some new have solutions that are just wierd sometimes. Lack of fasteners/hatches/hardware and such. When a boat has been used a couple of years there can appear caracteristics (?) that can need fine tuning. As tinting on side windows to keep heat out...
@@johanneslaxell6641 exactly what I was thinking. I just watched the video of the newest Bering explorer yacht and I noticed they had the 80” flat screen TV right in front of giant windows with no tinting lol. Just the back of a giant tv 8” from the glass lol.
The look and design of this yacht makes me feel like it belongs in the 1940's.... absolutely stunning boat. If I owned it everyone that boarded would wear 40's attire.
Oh, definitely my kind of thing 😄 Love the old style, and this is beautiful! Done with class, and so well taken care of. Just LOVED the little desk by the entrance! What a river boat that would make!!
Lazy river boat for sure de power to smaller more economic engines or even fit smaller third to poodle along at 9 knots on the smell of an oily rag. Even electric conversion for river boat masterpiece
I’ve always said Vicem has the nicest wood work of any yacht and they all have solid cold molded mahogany hulls with a smooth ride. Makes sense I think they started as a high end Turkish furniture builder. Most don’t know but they also have a sportfish model very few have been made. Most Vicem’s came powered with various MAN engines until around 2009.
The woodwork in this yacht is stunning. If I were to buy a yacht this size I would insist on this style. So beautiful and relaxing. I'm not a modern bright wall treatment and stainless handrail kind of guy for the interior. I always went to my boat to relax and this interior checks all my boxes. The lower salon really did it for me. If this yacht was crossing capable it would be my dream yacht but for coastal cruising, it would be a fabulous retreat. Thanks for sharing this with us dreamers.
Wow I was like wait a minute we didn't get our goodbye kiss from Victoria. Snuck it in the outtakes. I guess I am showing my age, but these time less designs with the custom wood just really appeal to me. Just looks like it says come in sit down and enjoy.

In my years of admiring different yachts, that is the first of these I recall seeing. And boy, was it worth it. She's a classic with all that wood trim. I don't know how she cruises but that would be a grand "liveaboard"! You might even have to get a new class of friends if you were fortunate enough to call that yacht home.😆😁 The best part about it, she'd be like dating the frumpy girl, a little plane Jane on the outside, but OO LA LA when it's just you and her in the evening!
All that wood--especially the fittings--gives this boat the vibe of a classic sailing vessel. PLUS, I really like the location of the crew quarters and engine access out of the weather.

Can appreciate Rico's statement of liking a Downeaster style. What a beautiful boat! The woodwork was impressive, and no doubt a hundred times better in person.
This is the best cabinet work I've ever seen. The lower salon is beautiful, like an old English gentleman's club. The boat's performance is way above average - it's so funny, it's faster than nearly all boats that look super modern/sleek.
So Vupicem is known for not only these style of yachts, but also their woodwork. Supposedly they do 10,coats of lacquer on some parts so that you get that highly polished look. They also are known for their actual adherence to customer preferences and design style. They literally give the owner a blank sheet of paper and have them draw what they want and then it is cleaned up by the design team. They also will match your wood preference to whatever you have in your vehicle like a Mercedes, Bentley, Rolls-Royce etc. Leather options too and exterior paint of your favorite car.
I can't believe Rico didn't point out the engine turning on the aft side of the engine room door. That might be the coolest little detail on the whole boat!!
Love Love Love all of the woodwork and classic styling! I've always had a soft-spot in my heart for older boats (and actually prefer analog gauges). Stunning boat ❤
Rico & Victoria, The both of you need to have a meeting of the minds about this "Essence of Cayman". I believe that you should trade your boat in and acquire this one. That is one hell of a boat.
Now this yacht has everything you would love to have, nice, big, and roomy! That yacht stands on its own, with all of the wood trimming , and just stylish, in every word, a real beauty! Nauti yous did it again! Classy ❤
I agree whole-heartedly that this feels like a classic sailing yacht. The lower salon is so beautiful that I would feel compelled to "dress for dinner". A couple other things I noticed were: 1) it seems like there might be a spot for a panel behind the helm (or a lowered panel), and 2) it looked to me like there were snaps around the entire cockpit that would allow it to be enclosed for weather (or at least covered for storage).
Victoria & Rico Very nice tour of the Vicem 85 !! Vicem is one of my favorite yachts with the beautiful woodwork, layouts and attention to detail. Happy you finally got to tour a Vicem and I hope in the future you may run across a Vicem 64 Classic and do a tour. Thank you for all the work you put in to produce this content. Beautiful yacht! The outdoor sink and fridge areas are so elegant. The two salons are beautifully decorated! The helm area is looks wonderful.I would love to sit there and enjoy the views.The galley is beautiful. I love the woodwork throughout the yacht. Love the master cabin and bathroom! It's so elegant! Loved this yacht- as Rico out it, it’s classy. While I love the wood on the boat, my response is always, it is going to take me forever just to dust and polish all that wood. I love the fact that they carried the wood into crew area.

Love the Vicems. Worked on one in Port Angeles...a 57. They hit something and badly nicked a prop. The owner wanted the shaft removed and that took an entire day to do but damn if it wasn't a bit bent as well. I watched an old guy straighten it out with a good hydraulic jack rigged up as a press. After that we spun it up and no wobble at all. Guy was good. 2 days total and I spent quite some time exploring the Yacht. Immaculate in every detail. I've encountered Turkish woodwork done with greenwood. Not so here. It was all properely seasoned and expertly joined. We did a sea trial and she drove like a sports car. I think the only throttle setting the owner knew after leaving the marina was WFO and it was impressive. With all the debris in the water up here it's not really advisible to cruise at 35 knots but hey it wasn't my boat and it WAS a lot of fun.
Hiya Vico, I love it, pocket super yacht, but the style and finish!!! Again Turkish workmen doing a truly spectacular job of work. If I ever do have one built then that is where I'd have to go. It might be a few years older then most boats you show us but it doesn't give of the feel that it is dated at all. The 2nd salon with that huge skylight is just dreamy.
