Very intresting podcast , but it makes me think why first option for heavy bleeding , is combine pill ? I have been diagnosed with fibroids and first thing what they suggested is combined pill ?
I was on microgynon 30 on and off all my life ,I waa put back on it wen I was having heavier periods due to thd perimenopause , I was taken off it wen I was 52 and pug on mieena coil abd patch unfortunately my coil misplaced and awaiting 9 mths for an op to remove it. Microgynon was good for heavy periods, but made me have a veey low libido and depression 🫥

Pretty sure I am peri menopausal with negative symptoms from ovulation to period. Doctor prescribed Yasmin or SSRI.
