just started tying flys this year. I love your videos! you are a great instructor! I've found there are a lot of videos on fly tying, but yours, in my opinion, are in the top echelon. Your pace, photography, & instruction is wonderful. Plus your fishing knowledge puts your videos over the top for me. Here's a BIG THANKS !!!
Love the content!! I like to look back on similar patterns in your older videos to see how your workflow has changed over time. Great videography and instruction. Top Notch!!!
Well done! In addition to creating a well-tied fly, you explained it very clearly, as always. I hadn’t seen that technique for creating a super-tight dubbing loop. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge.
Tim, thanks so much for very helpful videos. I've just started tying and haven't collected a huge amount of material yet. I'm wondering if white deer belly hair - which I have - can be used for the post and whether the very neat trick with the superglue would work on the natural material as well.
Yes it will work. Deer body hair tends to flare a lot because it is hollow. Because you will primarily be using just the tips for the wing post, it shouldn't be too bad.
Hello, I have fly fished for a few years now and after watching you videos I have decided to start making my own. Would you have a list of basics I would need for tools and materials ?
Another great tying technique for the body that I've never seen before. But if I might say the best klinks being tied in terms of technique goes to the feather bender. ,😎
@@tightlinevideo UA-cam is a platform with many great tying channels which I would put you in the upper tier. Always best to learn from many masters and not one! Great attribute of this platform surely is that we get to share techniques from across the globe. But I suppose in hindsight probably not the best place to say it.
Barry follows Tim's channel. He used Tim's 'automatically' trick on an emergent caddis video a month ago... Tim's got over +/- 50,000 more subscribers, so he's winning. Isn't that what it's all about anyway???
@@gregb8824 I rest my case. 😎. It was the simple act of turning the hook vertically to whip finish which I liked. It's not about competition, many of channels I follow recommend other channels. Isn't it great to share? This channel is incredible. I just thought Tims response was a bit sensitive . But I understand you'll get plenty of trolls talking tripe. That wasn't my intention to hit a nerve merely an observation but I admit probably not the place to say it.
@@tightlinevideo you are all right and wrong at the same time - it certainly isn't a klinhamer - because it is a klinhammer.....sorry to be an analyst and pedant! ....I'll get my coat........

SOOOO many EXCELLENT tying tricks for specific parts of tying; noodling the abdomen, wrapping hackle on a post, etc. in this video!!
Another nice tie Tim. Thank you for sharing dude. We all appreciate you. Keep keeping safe.

As always...to the point...excellent technique...
Great video ty
why are you so good at tying flies and filming it
Nice job! Just fished a surfer hatch about 3 days ago and now I really with I had these!
That's a slick method to make that abdomen, Tim. Thanks for sharing.
Interesting techniques, thanks for sharing Tim
Great tied 👏👌

@@tightlinevideo Thanks.
love your videos... keep it up! I gotta fish in US one day ;-)
Cool. Every try orangish goose biot for the body? I used to use that successfully on Bushkill Creek over in Easton above 13th Street Bridge.

Please tie a salvation nymph.

Yeah you may say it but if you think it makes me happy having you say it here, you're dead wrong.

It may be many things but it ain't a Klinkhamer. Have a look at how Hans ties his flies, it's far neater and easier.
A few of the tying steps are different. It is most definitely a Klinkhamer. Don't be such a turd.
@@lucaspowers4321 Thank you Lucas. Absolutely perfect response.
