    I too enjoy using EP fibers. Question: how do you determine how much to use for this pattern (or any pattern for that matter)?

      It is just a feel thing. Kind of like selecting deer hair. Wish I had a better answer but it just takes some trial and error and practice to get what you want.

      1) what brand klinkhammer hook is that?
      2) do you find poor durability using pheasant tail? Have you considered using a really thin wire or maybe EP fibers for the body?

      @@westsidewil I use Saber hooks. I prefer using a material that will sink for the body. That way the EP fibers will suspend the whole thing like an emerging insect. Hope that helps.

      @@westsidewil It holds up pretty well. You could always reinforce the PT with some fine copper wire.
