Teller is highly intelligent, articulate, and actually has a good voice. Often known to be the "brains" of the duo, I feel like he's missed out on being interviewed in the media over the years by sticking with the silent persona. But I also bet he has no regrets.

I don't think he regrets it. There's a certain amount of brilliance and humbleness that comes with listening and not speaking but he has books he's going to write tons more genius stuff.At least I hope he does that one needs to write a very personal book because it will be full of humbleness and Brilliance in the world needs that more than ever.

I like how Penn just sort of sat there and let teller talk. Like their dynamic on stage is nice, but the fact that he's also comfortable just not saying anything and letting his friend speak really solidifies my idea of their friendship.

Teller has the most majestic speaking voice ever. I want him to narrate an Audible. He sounds nothing like what I imagined him to sound like.
49:40-50:10 possibly the most incredible statement I have ever heard. I have always had so much respect for these two men both as people and magicians. that simple statement just cranked it up to 11. I absolutely love and respect these men to such an incredible extent.

Absolutely true. Both these guys are humble geniuses. Able to criticize and correct themselves. Very few people have that gift.
Teller's voice does not match his face, that's for sure. But he definitely has a great voice. He could host a radio show or podcast.

the last 5 minutes are great. Hearing them talk so objectively about their decisions and character is so refreshing. Their attention to morality is just awesome too.
Amazing people are so focused on Teller talking. I enjoyed Penns authenticity in his approach to his Magic. Of course we watch magic in order to be fooled and amazed.
Here he actually appears very respectful towards others opinions and beliefs. Very transparent. Which is not always the case when he gets into his atheistic ranting. Good to see this kinder side of his person. Also totally agree with him that many of the judges on talent shows arent fit to actually judge what is in front of them. mostly theyre picked because theyre known.

As said before, you come here to hear Teller talk. Within seconds, you are mesmerised by WHAT he talks about.... These guys are amazing, and I love the tension and the difference between loud and big Penn and short and minute Teller, and how Teller still manages to be the guy who holds the reins (which is part of their show, still, I love it).

These guys are class. Admitting their mistakes and failures. They seem like nice and decent fellows.
I think Teller sounds the way he does because of how much he's preserved his voice. The world could benefit greatly from silence.

I love watching Penn and Teller here simply because you can tell they're not used to interacting in front of a crowd in this manner. Despite the fact that Teller can speak up, Penn still, when speaking for both of them, kind of gestures towards Teller who will give non-verbal cues as to whether he agrees or disagrees.

Teller literally is the best listener ever, number one he would never talk over you, number two you would listen to his voice (because it’s weirdly entertaining).

i cant understand why a lot of comments are about that teller's voice doesnt fit teller. that voice suits him well, much more than i could have expected. I listen this video before going to sleep, his voice calms me very much :D i think his voice would suit for therapy mixtape/seances, lullaby, stories for kids before sleep and etc. :D

Kool Kidz Vidz I saw Teller at Ralph's
Been there done that. I was in Las Vegas and saw their show. After the show they would be in the lobby where everyone is leaving and you could get their autograph and even a selfie pic with each of them. They are not together. Teller is on one side of the lobby and Penn is on the other. Teller knows how to take selfies so if you don't know how just give teller your phone and he will take one of you and him. I'm 5'10" and Penn towers over me in the pic. Penn is a tall dude.

Kumendra Naidoo I assume you're asking why that would happen, well just compare Penn and Teller, Penn's voice is raspy and breaks a lot which you can attribute to cigarette's and 40 years of overuse on stage, whereas Teller has only used cigarettes as props and hast spoken once on stage since he chose to be mute when he preforms. I love penn & Teller really love their magic they are both real thinking magicians and I love to hear them talk. They are a real asset to the art of magic.
I have the utmost respect for Penn and Teller and the way that they present their skill to the public. What an intelligent way to go about presenting their talent as a trick and not trying to twist people's minds and persuade the public that they have Supernatural powers. They truly are talented and skilled individuals. The way entertainment should be.

The one thing they did not talk about is their Limited Run Broadway show closing Aug 16th, 2015. It is however a very entertaining 53 minutes of various subjects and you do get to hear Teller speak.
richb313 It saddens me that I'll never be able to see it, but it also fills me with joy to hear about how good it is. It would be a shame if Penn & Tellers "show to be remembered by" was mediocre. Hopefully they will integrate some of the new acts into the las Vegas show and lots of people get to see them(like me).
Trickier Hades Saw it a week ago on my birthday. It was amazing.
Trickier Hades I saw it this past week and also agree it was great. At least half of it was classic stuff, so if you're a big P&T fan you'd have recognized a lot. The rest I believe is already in their Vegas act, so anyone missing out on this run should certainly console themselves with a visit to Las Vegas.

Oh but he absolutely did answer it, “why do magicians fall into the inane patter?” Was the question, and he explained, it’s because they can do the magic “trick” but they’re actually a shit performer, which is where the stupid rambling patter comes in, like he said if you’re a comedian you can’t hide being a shit performer, if you’re a magician you can hide behind the trick
This is enjoyable, thoughtful and enlightening. Thank you. I could blather on about this but I think I will stick to; They are an interesting balance and variation of charismatic speakers. smooth and rough and tough. Penn is undervaluing his own perspective and accomplishments. Specifically his revealing of his inner battle of trying to be fair yet direct when trying to present other people's arguments or perspectives in "bs". The world needs more people interested in the debate and the inner battle for honesty and fairness. Especially in the entertainment industry (cheap rim shot). Teller is amazing (duh). But so is Penn. it must be difficult feeling like you can't have stock in your own self worth.... :( he tries to be fair and true.... it's a good thing to want to be and see and want to represent in your life and work. it's almost like I don't know.... helpful. lol.
