Teddy Boys? Don't think so. I was a Teddy Boy in the fifties and these folks have it all wrong. We had no earrings, no tattoos, no casual scruffy clothes, no white creepers (Jeez) and no long hair or mutton chops. Judies (girls) never, I mean never, wore drapes. We prided ourselves on looking cool and dapper and always wore ties. Creepers, if you were lucky enough to ever see a pair, were dark coloured and had a much thinner sole. We usually wore black oxfords, black brogues, regular soled suede shoes or chukka boots. Now, before anyone says that styles change....well thats fine, but if a style changes then it becomes something else....doesnt it? Therefore, these are not real Teddy Boys.

@@DM-ur8vc Er... no ! he's not saying that, and no they're def not "rockabillies" - at least NOT the ones I was and still am part of in the UK since the late 70s - altho it must be said that "modern" so-called rockabillies have also adopted the awful tattoos, multicoloured hair etc etc look that was NOT common here in the 90s never mind the 50s, think thats the American VLV psychobilly influence !. While understanding where CoolDaddy's coming from, these are def Teds, albeit the modern 21st century Euro version, ever since I first saw them at Weymouth weekenders in the 80s the French Teds always had a more OTT and colourful, flamboyant, take on the traditional British Ted styles, bigger hair, louder drapes, etc etc. But hey, we're ALL on the same side, rock n roll !.

Je suis bien curieux depuis quand ils sont Teddy boy il ne suffit pas d'être vêtu comme les Teddy boy est d'avoir des tatouages,l car tout le monde peux le porter , c'est la mentalité qui compte car il y a des clans des Teddy boy apart ,
