This is godsent. My family lost my dad to COVID-19 last week, and we buried him yesterday. Waking up today was hard as I had to face the truth of loss. Thank you for sharing this glimmer of hope.
We’re so sorry for your family’s loss. Your strength in sharing this with us means so much to all of us. Sending love and light to you and anyone else out there especially at a time in the world we face so much loss. 💜💜💜
My interpretation is that the plank of wood represents hardships one can experience in life. But life it is not about learning to avoid the rain but rather to learn how to dance in it; when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. The man at the end learns to not let the past affect him anymore and instead accept it, and use the painful experience to make something beautiful out of it, which ends up being the picture frame.
Omg...so much communicated in so little time...the impact a radial saw can make...I got goosebumps with the simultaneous introduction of the saw cutting the wood and the friend taking pictures...
I felt this. I lost my mother and I never felt like people around me understood the effect loss has on a person. Thank you for finally making me feel understood. This was beautiful
I feel the pain and loneliness of people who stayed, and lost the one that they loved the most. My grandfather has gone 5 years ago and since then, I realized he had a big impact on my life. I've changed a lot to be able to protect my family better but no one could tell how much I miss him from deep inside. Thank you for sharing your beautiful movements.
I lost my interest on dancing because of depression and thank you for this art. For giving fire and eagerness to back on track keone and mari you inspire me 🤍
Thank you for your Gift of Dance and for sharing it with all of us! Saying Goodbye is never easy. Shaking off the mourning of what's been lost is not easy but it can be done. This year losing the two most important people in my life, my grandparents, to Covid Shook Me! They were and still are my solid, my rock :) But there is always Hope and a Journey we must continue to pursue and to fight for! Thank you for sharing that in the midst of this crazy year . . . we are humans beings looking forward to living, to hoping, to looking forward to the good we have lived and the good that is still to come!
We, us, me, a father, a mother, a son, a daughter, a friend, a human always take everything for granted. We only realise something/someone is missing when it's gone. We/us/me/the human race needs to change before it's too late.
Loveeee this. Honestly this might be my favourite from k&m choreo. I'm interpreting this dance differently tho. Concept: Jesus in the garden of gethsemane. Wrestling with the idea of going to the cross but eventually goes to bc of the hope of creating memories with us :) caio
After having his life ruined His friends come to help him take the first step towards moving on, restarting, rebuilding That first step isn’t easy The man feels self doubt - a little bit of depression “They wish him god speed” - they want him to bounce back energetic and full of life But he still has doubts So his friend picks him back up His friends try to empathize with him - try to be with him in his troubles And also encourage him and he finally takes that first step, a small step and it was an important one Well that’s what I got anyways
Interesting reading people’s interpretations. Since the description said it was about the difficulty of saying goodbye, I interpreted the dance as his father passed away and he couldn’t move on. It was too heavy of a burden. He struggled with it for a long time, but then finally decided to turn his memories of his times with his dad into something beautiful. He wanted to remember him, to never forget, but he also needed to move on. Rather than only focusing on the fact that he passed away, he wanted to cherish the memories he had of him when he was alive.
The details.... did anyone notice that the rest of the cast was wearing the same plaid as the main character's friend? I am chilled.

I’m so proud of your strength! This life is so worth it. I’m so sorry for your loss! God is there reaching out for you amidst the pain❤️

Praying for your family during this difficult time.
I'm so sorry girl, lost my gramps as well. God is here to take that burden from you.

That was one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen in my life.
I don't know if anyone else cries to dance videos, but this was my first ever shedding a tear. This was so beautiful 😭❤
I do cry too
my first time crying to a dance
Couldn’t stop the tears from coming when he hung up the picture frame. 😭
I sometimes wonder how anyone could ever come up with this stuff. Just goes to show that there are many more geniuses than our society credits.
Lost my mom last week...
They say each day gets easier but it hasn’t been the case.
This helped
Thank you

After having his life ruined
His friends come to help him take the first step towards moving on, restarting, rebuilding
That first step isn’t easy
The man feels self doubt - a little bit of depression
“They wish him god speed” - they want him to bounce back energetic and full of life
But he still has doubts
So his friend picks him back up
His friends try to empathize with him - try to be with him in his troubles
And also encourage him and he finally takes that first step, a small step and it was an important one
Well that’s what I got anyways
