  • "Putin spent more time alone with people dripping, poison in his ear... he's put the whole weight of his presidency, his legacy and this government behind achieving subjugation of Ukraine."
Putin's 'desperation' has lead to a severe crackdown in Russia, John Foreman CBE gives his insight on how Russia has changed since his time as Defence Attache just before the invasion.

Spot on Mr. John Forman! The most important outcome is to definitively stop the menace ruzzia presents now and for the future. It is time to assist Ukraine to victory rather than dribbling in defense measures. Ultimately cheaper and more effective!

the Global South isn't in agreement with that analysis - they're grateful to see Russia crash the neocon regime change juggernaut - they've all suffered from Collective West hegemony - they're joining the movement to end it - expect more post-colonial hegemons kicked out of Africa soon and expect to see BRICS grow to 100 nations with a common trading currency that ditches for all time the punitive Petrodollar - Wall Street and City of London desperation is almost palatable, can easily envision them grasping in agony for the petroleum jelly

I am ashamed of the stalling and tardiness of our assistance and cheer every bit of increased help we give. I let my representatives know that I will vote on this issue and watch their rhetoric and actions accordingly. Our 'plan' with Sanctions is like a game of Jenga.
Increasing pressure on the top until the rotted base collapses.
Pufin the Poisoner will burn in purgatory for all eternity for the countless war-crimes he's caused by his own hands.

The Times, but especially Kate, is doing a great job interviewing these British experts and getting real answers. These types of professional, intimate, one-on-one interviews with these types of people with the knowledge, experience, and access, are providing critical insight to the thoughts and discussions taking place behind the curtain of government. In addition, the much needed and greatly appreciated clarity and explanational style on the answers to Kate's great questions are simply not appearing anywhere else right now on a regular basis. Is there anyway she can sit down with more U.S. and German officials to ask, not just tough questions for tough question sake, but the right questions in order to get the same clear and thought out answers she is able to extract from her British guests? It's great how she gives them the time to talk and formulate the answers to often complex questions.

I hate that you can’t get the audio together here. This man is clearly worth hearing

Putins toxicity as a leader is a big factor in the dysfunctionality of Russia at all levels and he is stifling people who might help by clinging to power and not preparing and identifying potential successors before withdrawing from power.

You have to remember that Putin is a result of the system that made him. He's a fossil, for sure, but he's a fossil that Russia views as a "powerful" leader... Until he isn't.
And then it's a choice between radioactive tea or falling out of a high window. 🤨

-i also think it’s funny where ge says in his talks with gerasimov, gerasimov says “i have achieved conventional military parity with the United States”
-that’s funny that gerasimov would ever say such an absurd thing
