Many Thanks EJ Mac Ewan for all you kind words about my channel and I'm glad you have been with me all this time and here's hoping for another 11 years... All the very best Davie
Davie, your flies are just awesome. Thanks for posting. You've taught me a lot about how to use different materials, and have really stoked my interest in tying. Well done.
Hi Davie I really like this fly the profile and the techniques you use are great. you always surprise me with new tech... Will be beating my head on the desk tomorrow tring to ty this fly.. Thanks for the Great Videos Chance
Hey Davie, I finally got the seals fur to act right. It was of course me and my way of putting the dubbing on the thread. I did finally get my hands to use the hook for an anchor and kept stretching and twisting like I see you do. Sometimes I can get the procedure into my head, but my hands do not cooperate. Finally I have got straight seals fur to wind on and look neat, even though I mess it up on purpose after I finish tying. I am going to be good at this if it kills me. All the best, Sean
An excellent pattern davie :) One question davie..."Who is your favourite fly tyer and who inspires you" ? Im sure i speak for allot of tyers that you are our fav and inspiration on here!
Hi Davie Great fly, i was just wanting to ask what size you would tie this down to? There's a lot of dressing there so wonder how that would look on a 14 or16? look forward to having a go at dressing some of these. Thanks. Alan.
Davie, Is it cobblers wax on your finger? I haven't bought the wax yet. I am tying thread on everything I can tye it on so I can get good thread control before I start using up supplies. I am getting better with it since I took your advice and looped it once around the side of the bobbin. Thanks Sean
@TotallyFlyTying David, you really don't need bugbond! Save your money and get some far more useful materials for the £30 that the kit costs! BB has some great uses, and Davie uses it to great effect on the patterns he uses it on. But if you only have limited means, it is one of the least important products that you need. Best wishes, and keep up the good work! Alan
