    Never before have I ordered all the materials to tie a pattern immediately after watching a video... until I saw this. Great fly and I can't wait to tie some up! Thanks

    Great fly Davie, I like the Spirit river dubbing,I like using alternatives to peacock herl,sometimes I just can't keep from breaking the herl !

    Great pattern I'll have to tie some up and see how they fish next chance I get.. Do your greyling chase after this pattern. I'm thinking the brook trout stream my father in law and i fish this will be a great pattern. Thanks,,, Sam

    Trying to find that chenille you used. It seems much stiffer than normal chenille which is more like wool...does it have special name?

      Hi Glenn,
      Sorry about the delay in getting back to you, unfortunately I removed the packaging from the chenille but If I remember right it was Ultra Suede chenille I used in the video so I have attached a link to it for you to see..

      i could not find the ' lace ' here in the states, but i find 'ribbon ' from yardage / sewing shops works great
