The things that really gets me is the altered Superman march, the timpani roaring in before the main theme starts, and the main theme getting in without announcement. pure heroics. 2:15 the return of the main theme really does it for me.
The moment they played the Superman theme my eyes well up in tears because I so would've played that theme really loud had he walked again and I believe in my heart he was going to. God I miss him. I will never forget my dad calling me and telling me he died I cried all night and couldn't sleep and even though he's been gone for nearly 16 years I still cry at times.
It would’ve been really nice if we got a crossover between Michael Keaton’s Batman and Christopher reeves Superman and Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman that would’ve been really awesome and killed in the ratings, but we’ll never ever know!

Take the same basic movie but give Reeve more screen time and remove some of the dumber slapstick moments(the opening scene, the random effects of Gus's drunken computer hacking around the city and Gus skiing off the building) and it would improve things quite a bit.
While both ways are awesome, Christopher Reeves was an actual pilot so he had a better understanding of the mechanics and physics of flight. With Henry's version, to me, blasting of like a rocket would only make sense in an emergency situation. Dropping down like a cannon ball to say hi to your mom then taking of like a tomahawk cruise missle to go work just doesn't scream "good superheroing".
No one can embody the humanity Reeve brought to Superman. Cavill finally showed it in Batman vs Superman DOJ prior to his sacrifice to stop Doomsday but prior to it he says to Lois "I love you. This is my world. You are my world."
People ask and wonder why the oil tanker didn't explode when Superman used his heat vision. There is two reasons why, A. when Superman blows the oil back into the tanker and he's closing it up. Not only is he holding the oil back in, but he's Supercooling it in the process, also the tanker was made up of two layers. So Superman could have closed one layer and frozen it. Making it safer for him to use his heat vision on the outer layer without causing it to explode.
This is one of my most favourite scenes in all of the films! It just shows what he can do and what other heroes can't. It's a simple crisis that BP had a year or two back which superman can easily fix! No super Lilian's just a super act which is exactly what the character is!
Absolutely, 100% FABULOUS ! The timing of the clip and sound quality of Johnny Williams insrtumental tune is perfection - as good as the day I 1st heard it and to the day sends chills up my spine. I remember as a boy turning the volume up and constantly rewinding the VHS to this point hoping that one day I might do the same :-)

Honestly out of the whole franchise I love the fight between Clark and evil sups. As a kid I remember jumping with joy when Clark won and fixed the navy ship (oil leak). I know this film gets bad credit but this scene makes up for it definitely 😁

Still enjoying this scene when finally Clark Kent the real Superman successfully vanquishes his evil side thus restoring his full powers followed by the iconic music before he rises staring at the sky tearing open his shirt revealing once again the bright colours especially the bright big S before flying up again as the real Superman. 1:23 to 1:27 is perfect Also after all these years I just realised that the reason the oil isn’t spilling out as Superman is patching the hole is that he’s using his Super Breath to keep it in, brilliant. This was my first movie in a theatre at seven years old, already a huge Superman fan. I vividly remember the excited feeling in my stomach when he pulled open his shirt to reveal his "true colors." The oil spill scene may only be second to the helicopter rescue in The Movie as the best action sequence in the series.
I think what he did is he used his freeze breath to keep the oil cool (in other words under it's ignition temperature) while he used his heat vision to seal the hull breach! 😀😊

Superman's uniform was noticeably darker when he flew to the Statue of Liberty to see Lorelei Ambrosia. Prior to this, he straightened the Leaning Tower of Pisa & blew out the Olympic torch, respectively (which was only a slight hint darker than his traditional red, blue, and yellow colors). The green Kryptonite that he received from Gus Gorman in Smallville had a very slow yet gradual effect on Superman.

This is my favourite scene in my favourite movie series(apart from SIV). This scene makes me feel like I am a superhero and I dream about stopping terrorists flying planes into skyscrapers, blowing back tidal waves, absorbing nuclear radiation from an explosion, providing endless energy to the world by running a treadmill connected to a generator. ahhhh I love my childhood memories.
Personally, I really like this scene, as it shows that even if we messed up, there's always an opportunity for us to correct it in the future.

Let's give credit to the acting of the ship captain. That confounded face is exactly what a normal person would look like in this situation.

The practical wire work still looks good. The Blue Screen could use some remastering
