    Fantastic review infused with your usual passion and integrity! Was a pleasure to watch 😊
    Regarding the issue of too much spin, perhaps a less spin oriented string can tone it down

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  6 місяців тому +1

      Thank you so much! Yes, the string for sure played a HUGE role in the review. Thinner shaped string, more bite and more free power. Really goes well with the Percept and people should pay attention to this, because thicker gage like 1.25 mm or 1.28 mm can really change how the racket plays, with less free power, less spin potential etc. Based on this experience I will be trying thinner gage strings in the future more and more because the pleasure it provides is nowadays more important for me than the durability.

    Thanks, before your review I looked at a lot of reviews on the percept 97 model with some negative or average reviews. my racket will arrive in one week, but I already had 1 hour of experience witch as good for me in case of Manoeuvre and your review turned my mood very positive because it's been 1 year since I started playing tennis and I was playing with Ezone 100 Plus. In the last months, I couldn't get used to it because I think it had too much power and I had the ball more in the outs, and it also tired my wrist because it has a high sweeng weight. I want to improve my hitting technique and have more angles with spin shots with more control. I hope I find my self with percept series

    This will be interesting. I wish I could hit with Yonex but have always had problems. A hitter friend of mine though uses and likes Yonex and used to use a Ezone until demoing the Percept 100 and he not only likes it but is playing better. Yonex is on to something even if I consider Head to be leading the pack in Innovation and Technology besides Shift

    My arm feels great. Most comfortable player's frame. Might add leather grip, stiffer string and lead for even more feel and plow, knowing the frame has amazing dampening. My hitting partner mentioned my shots were heavy on flatened shots and loaded with spin on rally/defensive balls. Love this frame. And the the sound of the ball off the strings is explosive!

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  12 днів тому +1

      Great to hear you love the frame. Few weeks ago I played a team competition match in Austria against a big, strong, muscular guy. He switched to the Percept 97 recently. I lost to him although I beat him in previous years. He was almost flawless. And he played very aggressive, very precise and everything looked so easy. So the Percept 97 must have something that other rackets don't have and I really think this update favours people who like to swing fast and who want to feel also light on the court at the same time. Enjoy the manooovrlbity!

      Hi Lutz, I did not try the 100D, but from what I've heard, it's very good. You should definitely grab the 97 version for your one handed backhand. It's easy to use and you can customize it later for more SW.

    Hello great video and subscribed. So many other reviewers on UA-cam say the percept 100 lacks power. I have an ezone 98 and want to try a 100 racket and contemplating on the yonex lineup of ezone, vcore, or percept 100? Have you tried the vcore 2023 100 or even the ezone 100? What are your thoughts on the other rackets and how does this percept compare. I know they say it is more control and the other is power and spin. Hope I can get your thoughts. Thank you

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  6 місяців тому +2

      Hi John, thank you for subscribing to my channel, means a lot to me. What really helped the rackets with the power was also the thinner gage string PolyTour Rev 1.20 mm. It's a perfect match for this type of racket. Maybe with thicker gage like 1.25 mm or 1.28 mm it might have a negative impact on the power level. We always say that strings are 50% of the performance of a tennis racket. So it's always the combination of strings and frame that is super important for the overall experience. I don't think people still pay attention to this aspect. Empty frame is just an empty frame which you can't review, but when filled with strings, it finally becomes a tennis racket. So my experience can be different only because of the strings or the tension used and that's why it is so important people know all the details to get the whole picture of the review.
      Regarding your choices. Right now I think the Percept 100 is the best 100 racket from Yonex, because it is so complete. Spin, touch, feel, comfort, control and even power is there. So for me the other series have now become obsolete. BUT I'm an all court player, I like to play all kinds of shots, dropshots, cross shots, long line shots, net shots, I stay mostly close to the base line etc. That's why I like a complete racket like the Percept. But maybe you are a counterpuncher, maybe you stay deep behind base line, maybe you play long/high spinned shots, maybe you wait for the opponent to make an error etc. It depends on what type of player you are. Of course you will have to feed the Percept with your own energy little bit more compared to the Ezones and Vcores, you will have to play smarter let's say with the Percept. So it depends on what experience do you want to have on the court.

    percept 100 vs 97 which is better at serve,return and slice ?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  5 місяців тому

      It's not that easy to answer this question because both rackets are great. On return the 100 feels better, on slice are both good and on serve both have their advantages - 100 more power and spin, 97 more precise serve with better manooovrlbity. It depends what you want and what you need. If you can hit with a 97 inch2 headsize, there is probably no need to play with 100 because you will benefit more from the smaller head and faster swingspeed that comes with the 97.
