They brought Lois on in S4 and Erica saved the show. After 3 years the triangle of Clark, Lana, and Lex was losing steam. Lois was that breath of fresh air the show needed.
Especially after Kirsten and Rosenbaum left. Lois stepped up and her chemistry with Clark became the big reason to keep watching the show.
I’m so glad Lois was allowed to stay it wouldn’t have been the same without her.
You can't have Superman w/o Lois Lane. She's as essential as the Kent's raising Kal-el into Clark ❤

Well, WB really wants to save Batman for the movies. That's their cash cow. That's why we get Batman shows without Batman like Birds of Prey, Gotham, Pennyworth, Batwoman, Gotham Knights etc. They have to come up with some sort of excuse as to why he's not around. He mysteriously disappeared; he was killed. Which makes me wonder why allow the shows to be made in the first place. That's like making a Fantastic Four show but not having the rights to all 4 characters. Or a Hannibal show without the rights to use Hannibal.
why was he allowed to be part of Titans then, obviously he wasn’t very frequent and it was mainly Bruce Wayne in his late 50s i’m guessing but he was still very much known as batman
@@ay26724 probably that's why. Because we never see him in the suit. Same thing happened in the Batwoman episode of Crisis on Infinite Earths.
It would have been epic to see Bruce Wayne in Smallville. At least Smallville did the first live-action comic book shared universe....yes way before the MCU.

Flash forward to now where there’s multiple actors playing the same role on film and tv. The Batman ban was so ridiculous 😂 They totally should’ve had young Bruce Wayne on Smallville. I mean they had EVERY OTHER hero, villain, and supporting character from DC. They could’ve establish the dynamic between the young men that would’ve echoed their later years. They’d be antagonistic, but they grudgingly respect one another. I mean they had f***ing Aquaman in the show.
So glad we got Erica Durance as Lois, she steals every scene she's in.
As a kid watching the show on the air, I remember there would be a commercial to a teaser of Batman Begins, to play during an episode of Smallville. At the time, I REALLY thought a crossover was coming! 😅

So I purposefully, regrettably, didn't watch Smallville for 20yrs b/c every other live-action Superman content was disappointing for my whole life and I just couldn't have my heart broken again lol, and a huge part of that was how the Clark/Lois relationship was done. Smallville's Lois changed all that for me! She wasn't only just a BREATH OF FRESH AIR ❤❤❤ she's the first Lois who made me truly believe and understand why she is Superman's soulmate.
Plus the chemistry between Clark and Lois was magical 👏❤
They could have introduced Bruce Wayne in Season 2 for just one episode. There would have been no mention of bats, no gadgets, no batmobile, etc. The episode would be mainly about the first meeting of Bruce with Clark via Lex. Lana and Chloe would be fawning all over Bruce and Clark would be jealous in a comic way. Bruce would be concentrating on what's the deal with this doe-eyed school boy. The one episode could have ended with Bruce telling Clark and Lex that he'll be going to China for vacation; unbeknownst to him that a certain Chinese Sensei/Sorcerer would be waiting for him.
You heard them, they weren't allowed to include him at all. Even for one episode.
Or how about if a teen Bruce is the start of all the detective-ing. maybe he sets it up for Chloe to take over or teaches her stuff, which would have at least been a logical explanation for how someone who needed Pete for 3 years to set up WiFi magically knows how to hack into LuthorCorp security systems and classified gov agencies without so much as a single CS class.

I don't understand why Smallville couldn't use a teenage Bruce Wayne even if Christopher Nolan was making Batman Begins, because Fox Network aired Gotham for five years with a young Bruce Wayne during the time Ben Affleck was playing Bruce Wayne in Batman vs. Superman and Justice League.
Crazy all the crap they had to go through with DC. Wow.
Kinda glad we got Lois lane if we didn’t I was going to quit literally after season 3 no offense to Kristen but her character got on my last everlasting nerves with how boring she was and how we had to feel bad for her every single episode for something and Clark being idiot sorry that he is on not knowing what he wants be for I could of quit to during season 6 where Lana Clark and lex triangle because that was atrocious but I kept going knowing when she’s leaves we get Lois so what I’m trying to say Lois gave me a chance of keeping going and i enjoyed Erica durance from the first episode I’ve seen her up till where I’m at is season 9 she’s funny and she’s brought me the vibe that never felt like any Lois lane did so thanks and also a gateway of other main dc characters which is great she’s was there series regular from season 5-10 because without her I would stop during season 3 lol.
For Batman I had a theory that related to Adam knight if we had Bruce Wayne/Batman he could be in smallville just to research about his dead parents but in disguise is Adam knight he has to fit in again knowing this is his first year of Batman this is how I’m seeing it this why he has to be with Lana and had to work with Lionel or was it lex to get to with Lana to know Clark or something wasnt clear when it was getting explain in season 3. This all a facade to him that’s what he’s doing he’s not really there to make friends.

So...Batman was "off the table" due to Nolan making Batman Begins at the time...but that version of Batman appears in the Smallville comic that continues after the series.🤔
Since it's a comic and not live-action does it still count as "canon"?

I was wishing through the whole series, that they could just at least bring in Bruce Wayne, before he started his Batman days. Found it annoying how they throw out a few things that is connected to him, like Gotham, or even bring in a villain or two from his rogue gallery.
Althought they couldn't put her earlier on the show and dragged Clark and Lana like they did i feel like that worked for the best for Clark and Lois deep relationship they built afterwards. Even though today there a lot of people that still ship Clana and hate Clois because of how much time they spent on Them, i think they writing Lois like they did, and making them frenemies then friends then partners in the daily planet until dating and married allowed the already epic couple to be way more epic, and even the people that ship clana agree that Clark was never happier than when he was with Lois. In general, people understand it was always gonna be Lois, even if they don't like it.
Imagine if Bale’s Batman showed up on Smallville
So Chlois was talked about! I feel vindicated.
