www.voguefabric...
You guys have told me that you can get on Ebay also :) Thanks Lee!!!
Tutorial Starts at 4:20
I fast forward to 7:02
Thank you for this! I would love to see the next steps - everything from cutting your fabric, deciding the order in which to sew the elements together, and any tips/tricks to make sure the garment will be wearable!
Please do one with darts :)
I'm desperate for a version of this tutorial that encompasses darts! Did you end up making that video perchance? ;)
I'm surprised you only had 9 k hits on this video! It was very informative and just the right pace for me as a new learner in sewing!
Thank you bunches!
I would love for you to do another video on cloning a dress with darts! Side darts and princess seams :)
Great video. This was so helpful. I love my wheel. I also use it to transfer lines from patterns i buy so i am able to use the multiple sizes without cutting the pattern. Butcher paper and manila folders (found at staples, walmart) are my go to pattern papers that i use. The wheel dots come out great on those two materials.
Love your personality and video - i'll be looking for more of your videos.
Yes please: Darts tutorial on recreating a garment.
Yes would you please do the video on how to add bust darts to a pattern taken from a finished garment. Thank you for sharing your experience. My son also went to WAPPA
This was a fabulous video, thank you so much for sharing. I got my wee tracing wheel pretty cheaply on Ebay for around £3. It's an invaluable little piece of equipment. Looking forward to more drafting tutorials. Lee xx
Your wheel is called a “tracing wheel in Canada anyway. Thank so much for your patten making help!! Cheers!
Wow am going to try this with a dress I have. It's a simple, up and down dress and easily replicable. Am a bit worried about the sleeve but ..... Will try!!
Really clear process and understandable process. I worry that you make it look so easy, when it probably isn't. Practice makes perfect, though right? Thanks for a great tutorial and for calling out people who rip off other people's work.
Love your videos! I too would love to see how you copy a pattern from a more complex garment
Sooo helpful!! Thank you so much!! I would love to see dart :)
This is Eileen. I really enjoyed this video and am going to have a go.
I absolutely loved this video and am very interested in copying a more complicated garment. I learned a lot!
Great tutorial Peppermint :) Delivery was easy to understand and very informative.
Your videos are really great! A lot more content covered than many others. I would love for you to show us how to draft blocks, i've started with the basic bodice, and toiled it 2 or 3 times so far, didn't realise this was how it is until seeing your drafting video.
yes to seeing a video with dart replication!!!! thank you these are awesome you are awesome. More tutorials the better!
I totally enjoyed this instruction! can you show how to take a pair of pants with side pockets and draft a pattern
Thank you so much , very informative, I have a dress i would like to do but have no idea how to tell if it is cut on the bias , can you throw some light on this please , many thanks
I love your channel, been binging videos :). I would really like to see you sew the pattern up into a finished garment!
Katrine Rolskov Fantastic idea! I want to see her sew it up as well!
Thank you, I am considering doing this for my fav trousers I have a wheel, but a few years ago I bought a double wheel that measures seam allowance and it's adjustable, even though I quilt I have never used it I'm off to look for it now.
great demonstration. I cant wait to try it. I would be interested in a video on the dart and in the pattern.
"Wow" at first sight! Great video, great personality and good teaching. Hope to see you soon again ;)
Thank you for such an informative video, really good.
Thank you for this video :) also yes to the dart drafting :) have a good day
we used to call the spiky wheel with the handle a tracing wheel.
It's still called a tracing wheel.
wow this was so incredibly helpful.
would love to see you do a pattern and make it a size bigger and one smaller!
yes, like to see more complicated drafting of pattern. you so inspiring thank you.
Yes. But if more complicated, please go slower. I think people would agree that they'll take the time to watch even if the video seems longer than some, because we're watching to learn, relearn, refresh our skills.
Thanks for being so generous and doing these videos for us!
love from SINGAPORE!!!!! do make more videos and a Q&A video maybe? heh
Thank you very much. I like the video I subscribed. I want to learn more.
Thanks for posting this video! I am a novice sewer and am wondering what the diagonal lines drawn on the pattern represent? TIA :)
Definitely interested in a how to on darts as well!
Sure thing love, so the Centre Font and Centre Back (CF CB) line of the garment are cut on the fold of fabric, that fold of fabric needs to be on the "bias". The diagonal lines on the pattern represent the straight grain, and the straight grain should line up with those lines when placing and cutting the pattern.
Can you do a tutorial on how to use the french curve?
Yes, your video is counter intuitive but can you show how you'd handle this top if it had bust darts?
I noticed tht you private serval diy video and I am sad I am no longer be able to see them. I was really looking forward to make something of your.
Wow, this is amazing!
Thank you!
Bit fast/hard to understand for a beginner i.e. what a grain line is but otherwise fab. V interested in learning more incl. darts.
Yes please, how do you do with darts?!
To copy a pattern from a ready made cotton dress, but increase the bustline how would one do that?
Hey! Nice video but your intro goes too long before you come to the point. Use your and the viewers time wisely please.
your french curve ruler, does that have seam allowance on it? I'm just trying to figure out if I need to buy two or ...
Wow, get to the point!
How do you know where to draw the grainline?
How do I create a pattern from a pattern I saw on the Internet?
WHAT WERE YOU FILMING THAT THE COSTUMES WERE GETTING BLOOD ON IT?????
Theater blood used to be horrible to get out of costumes. Don't know if it's easier to get out than real blood nowadays.
Wow, that’s awful how ppl steal patterns to later sell them commercially. That is unethical!!
to much talking
