    Thank you for this! I would love to see the next steps - everything from cutting your fabric, deciding the order in which to sew the elements together, and any tips/tricks to make sure the garment will be wearable!

    Great video. This was so helpful. I love my wheel. I also use it to transfer lines from patterns i buy so i am able to use the multiple sizes without cutting the pattern. Butcher paper and manila folders (found at staples, walmart) are my go to pattern papers that i use. The wheel dots come out great on those two materials.

    This was a fabulous video, thank you so much for sharing. I got my wee tracing wheel pretty cheaply on Ebay for around £3. It's an invaluable little piece of equipment. Looking forward to more drafting tutorials. Lee xx

    Wow am going to try this with a dress I have. It's a simple, up and down dress and easily replicable. Am a bit worried about the sleeve but ..... Will try!!

    Really clear process and understandable process. I worry that you make it look so easy, when it probably isn't. Practice makes perfect, though right? Thanks for a great tutorial and for calling out people who rip off other people's work.

    Your videos are really great! A lot more content covered than many others. I would love for you to show us how to draft blocks, i've started with the basic bodice, and toiled it 2 or 3 times so far, didn't realise this was how it is until seeing your drafting video.

      Yes. But if more complicated, please go slower. I think people would agree that they'll take the time to watch even if the video seems longer than some, because we're watching to learn, relearn, refresh our skills.
      Thanks for being so generous and doing these videos for us!

    Thanks for posting this video! I am a novice sewer and am wondering what the diagonal lines drawn on the pattern represent? TIA :)
    Definitely interested in a how to on darts as well!

    • @peppermint_milk
      @peppermint_milk  8 років тому +1

      Sure thing love, so the Centre Font and Centre Back (CF CB) line of the garment are cut on the fold of fabric, that fold of fabric needs to be on the "bias". The diagonal lines on the pattern represent the straight grain, and the straight grain should line up with those lines when placing and cutting the pattern.
