    Fantastic job, Janelle - looks exactly the same. I have lots of favourite clothes that are too small for me now. This has inspired me to clone them and grade them up. As they're too small, I may actually take them apart to make the cloning easier.

    I really like that you listed needed supplies, for this project, at the beginning. It seems silly to say that but I just watched a few similar videos and the girls just got right into it without explaining what's needed. I'm a newbie and I need it explained like a baking recipe. LOL. Thank you so much for this video and thank you for talking at a speed that I can understand. 😄 A++

    It’s quite funny but I just made the Nancy Dress from Sew Over It and it’s near or nough a copy of your dress! Apart from that I’m also a fan of copying ready made clothes, I’ve done it a lot. I usually measure a bit more to be sure and use a dressmaking ruler to get nice curves. I find it a bit tricky to copy bust darts but with some trial and error it works out in the end. Thanks for sharing!

  • @sharonlewies9920

    How did you deal with the darts. You show them on the pattern but not how you worked them out so as not to duplicate (if that makes sense). If you simply draw around the panels that has the dart included. If you then ad a dart that is a duplicate & reduces the size. Thanks

    • @lesliehyde
      @lesliehyde 3 роки тому

      Likely will need to disassemble the dress. Measure the dress and then Measure your self. You will likely need quite alot of paper for increasing the size to your current measurements. Also, trace the original dress pieces so that way you are only expanding out the measurements that are truly needed asso to not make excessive amounts of work and headache for you. Best of luck.

    • @RoseryApparel
      @RoseryApparel  4 роки тому +2

      You would just have to estimate how much fabric has been gathered (usually it would be the length of the bottom of the gathered skirt, so a rectangle shaped pattern piece). Hope this helps!
