So Fn cool of you guys to help that ford out, that's what wheeln is about having good time with friends and helping others. Cant believe there pigtaco made it the rest of the way
I have been helped out by others when I was in a pickle so it's only fair to pay it forward when you come across someone in a bad situation. Most of the wheeling community is like this. LOL yea both the pigtaco and that ford drove all the way home with no issues.
Thanks for the help to the trail head that day .. got lost and you guys helped me find the trail in the morning.. you guys ended up helping another buddy of ours as well in the full sized Ford when his steering broke
It took a couple hours but that went surprisingly well. Those guys were lucky we had a welder with us cause there was not a ton of traffic on this trail that weekend.
Really nice edit man! 7:50 and 8:13 was us. We were with 831valleyjeeps group. I was the one that was on the side recording with the go pro as you guys passed our campground. I was being a fan boy telling the other people "yo it's poly performance/synergy" hahaha.
@@COLINSMITHSLO Thank you. It was our first trip out there. The original plan was to go to Coyote but we ran into Red Lake at 3am in the morning so we stayed there not knowing how it looked there until the sun went up that morning. It's a beautiful place. Coyote looked nice. Is there a lot of campgrounds there compared Red Lake?
As you probably know Coyote Lake OHV officially starts after Red Lake so you were pretty much already there lol. I would say the gatekeeper is the toughest part so if you can get through that you are good to go!
Mad respect for those whole Wheel their Daily driver over buggies any day, And even more respect for those wheeling and dd their junk trucks or jeep \m/ Great video
Thanks for the reminder to update description with music credits! You can find links now. That "Still Dre" intro track is actually a live piano/midi pad collab which I cut up and then transitioned into a dope metal instrumental cover.
It's in the Shaver Lake region. Length is like ~3 miles but you have to follow the Red Lake OHV plus a few fire roads to get to Coyote Lake OHV gatekeeper. There are many OHV trails in the area, but check the local ranger station website for status because there are seasonal closures for most trails. Swamp Lake, Dusy Ershim, and Bald Mountain are also worth exploring IMO.
@@jacksontan5410 Rad! Yea my coworker also has one of those and it rips. Pretty much identical underneath to this Tacoma. The MCLT is a easy/expensive way to push the wheels forward a bit. Otherwise body chop plates will help you get a little bit more clearance. Nitto also makes a 35 x 11.5 tire which can help just a little more with clearance while turning.

Some parts of this video reminds me of a skateboard edit. So sick
Another successful test for the Poly Performance Taco Tabs! The PigTaco drove home with perfect alignment after a weekend in the rocks.
Go Tacoma gives me confidence in mine. Killer video

Impressive trail fix on that superduty

Haha that's awesome! You guys got a great campsite, we were talking about how the camping at Red might be nicer than Coyote.

Thank You! If you see me, ask for stickers lol.
great video! i hope that trail didn't get burned up in all of the fires
Some big boulders! This is my backyard! Haven’t been up to coyote yet. Just Red lake & Mirror lake. Going to put this one on my list for sure

Nice video work dude. First crawling video I’ve seen in a while that isn’t boring!
Thanks man! That's always the goal while editing cause raw rock crawling footage is normally pretty boring.
Badass

Love the videos! Any info on that 1st gen 4runner? I'm building my 84 and that thing is goals. Looks like a really fun trail and some awesome rigs.
Thanks! Hit up "pedaltodd" on IG. He has done some interesting stuff with atypical leaf spring packs..
@@COLINSMITHSLO thanks I'll check him out

@@COLINSMITHSLO right on. Thanks.
What size tires is the Tacoma running?
285/70r17 Nitto Trail Grapplers but it really needs 35s for ground clearance.
COLIN SMITH SLO thank you for the reply. Good job on the video. I have a gx470 and I’m trying to fit 35’s so I can hit up these trail.
