Thank you for all the tips and tricks. I also didn’t realize that there are 2 filters to relocate and just did the paper one. Two years in it’s time to change both:)
Glad I was able to help ! It was interesting to me also when I learned of the prefilter. I would think that the PreFilter which is easier to get to and the first line of defense is the one that would need to be replaced more often. And good thing because it's easier to do :)
I bought my first Mercedes cabin filter at a local auto store and it was not made (cheaper) like the Mercedes E 350 real filter, so now i buy direct from Mercedes the original inside cabin filter (more expenseve), easy to replace.

The carpet on side can pull down for more roomy pull the cover off and place cover back on. Great Video
