    Hi Rob! Thanks for including my CLEAN By Pan Rinse-Less Wash in this video. As you know, in my lineup, we have both a shampoo and a rinse-less wash. I myself am more of a shampoo type person, as in my 27 years of detailing that's what I was used to. But as you know, rinseless washes have been gaining in popularity in the past years, and some people simply don't have access to a pressure washer or garden hose to clean their cars, so using a rinseless wash is a much safer option compared to a waterless wash. That being said, there are still a few considerations to take into account when doing a rinseless wash method, and here are a few tips that can help you or anyone thinking of using that method: 1) A rinseless wash method doesn't mean you never rinse. It just means that no rinsing is needed at the end of the wash process. If the vehicle is super dirty and caked in a thick layer of dirt or mud, you would absolutely have to pre-rinse the vehicle first, to knock off the loose dirt and debris. The same common sense applies to the traditional soap wash method: you wouldn't put a microfiber wash mitt and start washing a car that's caked in mud and dirt. You'd pre-foam or pre-rinse first, and then do the contact wash. 2) Just like a pH neutral shampoo has its limitations and can't always remove all the types of dirt, a pH neutral rinseless wash also has the same limitations. So while pH neutral cleaners are great for regular maintenance, over time, there is usually a layer of road film that accumulates, that oily substance that pH neutral cleaners just can't fully remove. That's obvious when you are washing your car and notice that even after the wash, the water isn't beading especially in the lower parts of the vehicle. That can be one of two situations typically: road film accumulation, which requires an alkaline soap, or mineral deposit accumulation which requires an acidic soap. I will have a video soon on a winter wash, which shows exactly this. So keep in mind that we designed the CLEAN By Pan Rinse-Less Wash to be pH neutral. Great for regular cleaning. But every now and then, you'll see that mineral or film buildup that will require an alkaline and/or acidic wash. Companies like Labocosmetica have now released their own alkaline and acidic rinseless washes (called Preludio) and you can use those as a pre-treat at a 1:10 dilution on the surface, let it dwell, then do the contact with the rinseless solution on top, as per usual. 3) You can use microfiber wash mitts or towels as the wash media when using a rinseless wash method, but as odd as it seems, the appropriate rinseless wash sponges are a better option in that situation. And this comes from me, who likes the traditional soap method with a microfiber wash mitt hehe. The rinseless wash sponges are designed to remove pressure points (as they are thick sponges) and have cuts in them allowing the dirt to have a place to get into, and then be released in the bucket when dunking the sponge in the bucket. I highly encourage you to give it a try. A quality sponge like The House Of Rags premium rinseless sponge, the DIY Detail Legacy Sponge, The Rag Company Ultra Black Sponge, McKee's gold sponge, Optimum Big Red Sponge, etc. All good options. So for apartment/condo dwellers with no access to water to clean their cars, or for people living in areas with heavy water restrictions or water bans, or for people wanting to save water, a rinseless is a great and safe alternative to clean your car, as long as you use common sense when using the method.

    Hi Rob! Very fun video to watch, thank you for putting my CLEAN By Pan 3-year ceramic coating to the test! I appreciate the kind words, and show of support. The internet can be super toxic at times, so it’s nice to see a fellow content creator that doesn’t give into drama. You gave good explanations and kudos to you on catching the mistake with the Adam’s polish hehe. Hopefully you were able to truly polish that off with the Griot’s polish, as it’s important to not have any residual protection on paint, before applying a new ceramic coating, as you know. You also seem to have understood my point of me saying my products are the best. They are the best for me. But now I think the results speak for themselves, and so many independent reviews are out there allowing people to see these are truly top tier products. Whether they are the best for one person is up to them to decide. What’s the best for me isn’t necessarily the best for you, and what is best for you might not be the best for me. But I think most would agree that these products are easy to use, give a great user experience, and deliver on performance. I put a lot of time, effort, energy, hard work, and passion into creating this lineup with my chemists, so it’s nice to see the validation from the detailing community. To get back the the coatings specifically, a few observations: - it’s a thicker formula by design, so you have to be deliberate about pouring the liquid onto the applicator pad. It’s a thicker formula as it also lays down a thicker film build on the surface, contributing to its durability. - 1 to 2 min is the minimum amount of time to leave the coatings on the surface, but that depends on the conditions (temperature, humidity) and type of surface (paint, PPF, vinyl wrap, glass, wheels, etc). Start with a small section first, and see what is the optimal wipe off time in your conditions. - During the levelling process, if you feel you’re just pushing the coating around or its smeary, keep it on the surface for longer. You can go as long as 3 to 5 min and it should still be easy to wipe off. It’s very forgiving for the user experience, as you noticed. Wipe off should be easy, and not grabby. - The coating will feel slick immediately after wiping, but that slickness gets even better hours after the application, and ultimately a week after full curing. It was primarily designed as a paint coating, so that’s where it will perform at its best, but it can also be applied on wheels, glass (2 layers recommended on windshield, 1 layer on side glass), plastic trim, metal exhaust tips, PPF, and vinyl wraps. Can even be applied to matte surfaces. So it’s a very versatile coating. Seems like you had fun with the detailing process and if you’re happy, I’m happy! Have yourself a Merry Christmas and keep on doing positive things for the detailing community!

      Hey Pan! It's quite an honor to have you comment on my video! I'm a long-time viewer and watched you in the earlier days and as a UA-camr myself (although much smaller) I can appreciate the time and dedication that it takes to create good content, edit, answer viewers, come up with new ideas, etc. Let alone develop your own product line and set up distribution for your entire viewer audience. Impressive for sure!! I also purchased your Shampoo...did a quick UA-cam Short on that but plan to do a proper video (weather permitting). I also created a video about winter washing with your rinse-less soap which is coming out this Friday. In terms of the installation of the 3-year coating, it was quite easy...I suppose I could have left it on the hood for a little longer but based on what I'm seeing so far (off the record)....the hydrophobics are off the charts! Honestly, environmental conditions in addition to personal preference will dictate if this is "the best" but I can agree that it's certainly top-tier! No question in my mind! I can't wait to do a one-month review which is coming up soon. Wishing you all the best and a prosperous 2025! Maybe someday we can meet up and collaborate...would be a true honor for sure. Don't forget your roots, the little people and allow the product to speak for itself....cause it will! Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!!

    I think the major test would be in a professional setting multiple cars, day in day out. If the sooprinse is able to put out foam like that and withstand some long term use it'll really blow the lid open on some foam cannon manufacturers charging $100 or more for something that can be done with an $18 tool. I got myself one recently, with a white bottle, short pressure washer handle, 5 attachments and a mitt for $64 AUD and it does the job perfectly.

    Great Video. I washed my F150 today, I drove on a road that services Concrete Company, Landfill, Stone Crushing and process site, Factories and the chemical plant I work and salt. A steam generation plant that has chemicals in it in a big cloud for hours. I encountered over the 20 years that nothing took these chemicals off. I washed with Stars and Stripes 10:1 and Snake Oil at 5:1 touch-less just to see what happened. The truck was clean. I was very glad. Month later Truck was a mess up here in the Buffalo, NY. Today I went with 5:1 wash, I tried to use just the Yellow tip with the Ryobi electric washer on the passenger side to rinse off and all seemed fine. Last time I used the Turbo Nozzle on the whole Truck. This time only on the front, tailgate and driver's side with the turbo. Passenger side when I applied Snake Oil I seen in the suds lines of the Yellow tip spray left behind like you seen. That didn't appear on the rest of the truck. So I used the turbo nozzle to remove the Snake Oil suds and there was no lines after. White glove check, no dirt and no lines. I was not real close with the Turbo Nozzle the circle is between 5 and 6 inches in Diameter and my passes were slower and with 50% overlap like the Yellow Tip. All the other cleaners I used in the past with the yellow and the Turbo always left something behind. ChemX is the go to, no touch.

    • @talkingwithcars
      @talkingwithcars 9 днів тому

      Thanks man! Good info! It's a great product no doubt. I think what you have to do to remove the film depends on your environment & how dirty your truck or car is. Geography makes a big difference, the road grime and film we get in the northeast is insane....it's more than just a desert dust...it take a little getting used to. Sometimes a contact wash has to be performed but in the winter months, we try not to do that. Thanks for your feedback and keep watching for more content! Happy Holidays!

    Nice comparison. For the average home enthusiast, the $18 one is perfectly fine, especially with the mods you recommend. Even with the mods, it is giving the same performance as the V3 MJJC at 1/3 the price. A win-win for the consumer for sure. My first cannon was $10 off of Amazon and I actually still have it and have had it for about six years. It still performs decently for $10. My "go to" foam cannon at the moment is Griot's Garage Brilliant Finish Foam Cannon which is a fantastic foam cannon producing very thick foam. Heck, it might even be made by MJJC, not sure, but the bottle and cap look identical to the MJJC Version 2 Pro cannon. The new V3 MJJC has been a real standout product for MJJC and has a LOT of loyal followers and professional detailers who swear by the new blue V3 MJJC cannon. The reason I personally love the Griot's Garage Brilliant Finish Foam Cannon and also their BOSS Foam Cannon (I have both of them and love them both) is the fact you can hook up a smaller 16oz or 32oz bottle to the inner threaded neck and put in their "metering tips" which will syphon out the correct amount of product from your product of choice and put the correct dilution ratio (or at least "estimated" correct amount) but it really helps to save a lot of product waste. Far too many times I mix up a product in the included bottle and then I still have half the product leftover and either have to just spray it onto the surface or dump it out which is a waste of product. The metering tips solves that problem and I don't have to waste any time mixing up anything. I do like the clear bottle design of the MJJC. All foam cannons should use a CLEAR bottle with a marked dilution chart on the side of the bottle. That type design should be standard for any company designing a foam cannon. But again, for the average detailing enthusiast and weekend warrior looking to get good results for a lot less money, these amazon cannons are a good option. Most of them perform exceptionally well. The only advice I can give is CLEAN OUT YOUR FOAM CANNON OF CHOICE AFTER EVERY USE! I have had more than one cannon fail from not cleaning it out or from leaving a caustic chemical inside the pick-up tube or cannon head itself. As long as you just run clear water through the cannon head and pick up tube after every use, your cannon will give you YEARS of good service. It's the main reason a foam cannon fails. You probably will never need any replacement filters if you simply rinse out the foam cannon with clear water. The only MOD that would really be needed for most people buying the cheap (or even expensive) cannons is to put a 1.1 orifice in it depending on what type of pressure washer you have. If you have a gas washer, most likely the 1.25 installed cannon from the factory is perfectly fine and produces great foam. Sometimes when you install a 1.1 orifice is that it restricts water flow too much in a pressure washer and causes the motor to fail prematurely but that's all subjective I guess. Do what works for you is what I say. If you want a top quality foam cannon, the Griot's Garage Brilliant Finish Foam Cannon is one of the best deals. The only thing you would need to add extra is the metering tips because they don't come standard. The tips only come standard with their BOSS Foam Cannon which is also one of the best ones on the market today in build quality.

      @@talkingwithcars I think you'd be impressed for sure if you ever do get one, but it will probably perform like the MJJC V2 or V3. They are very similar. I just like the Griot's more because of the metering tips and having the dual thread system where you can hook up the bottles directly to the foam cannon head if you want to. Another cannon that I just saw recently that I really like the design of is the new Active Foam Cannon that just got released. That thing looks like it's built like a tank! The design is sleek and just looks like they used top quality materials to construct it. I just hope it performs as good as the Griot's or the MJJC cannons!
