There are only a handful of offenses that can get you that amount of time, and they’re all horrible offenses. I feel bad if these people were genuinely good parents, as they seem.

If a lawyer is gonna charge u $10,000, u better damn sure not end up in prison after. That’s quite the scam. Mine charged $2,500 and an extra $1,000 if we had to go to trial which we did not and got me off on probation. I happened to be an addict when I got into trouble though, and once I was clean I never so much as got a traffic ticket so that plays into it. If you can rehabilitate that’s what they prefer but most people do not. I just happened to go and start having my children after that and never went back to my old life.
They're lawyers, not miracle workers. Lawyers charge for their time, knowledge, and experience, not outcomes. If you could caught with copious amounts of drugs and you're charged federally, you're going to do some time.

Cops found some bud and also a safe in each car… one filled with meth and the other with heroin 🙄. Pretty looking young lady got herself wrapped up in all sorts of bad stuff.
