Yea and I always see ppl on here bitching “why does she tell them what they have to say isn’t important”. I’m like cause she studies the cases the night before and she plans out what she needs to know. If she let them go off on their stupid tangents a)it would be an hour long Dr. Phil episode and b) it’s a way of them trying to get past what she wants to really find out. She knows exactly what she’s doing and she’s an amazing litigator.

The daughter is in prison, paying for her crimes and learning a lesson. Clearly, you're not a parent. As a parent, you can be pissed with your adult child, hold them accountable, yet never stop loving or supporting them, especially when they are facing state prosecution. It's not about coddling the daughter. When she was jailed without the means to hire a private attorney, her divorced parents, despite likely wanting nothing to do with each other, put aside their differences to hire a lawyer for her. That's commendable.

Mine charged $2,500 and an extra $1,000 if we had to go to trial which we did not and got me off on probation. I happened to be an addict when I got into trouble though, and once I was clean I never so much as got a traffic ticket so that plays into it. If you can rehabilitate that’s what they prefer but most people do not. I just happened to go and start having my children after that and never went back to my old life.
