So basically her idea was to hire a top notch attorney for 10K on other peoples dime, because she's acting like she's completely void of any financial responsibility for any of it... what a pitiful woman!

I don't understand how a grown woman with children could be comfortable being at home and being supported by her parents for 11 YEARS! Everybody faces a hard time sometimes but after 2-3 yrs she didnt think "maybe i should take some evening classes and try to get work in a different field." I also think that since she was the one who sought out the lawyer, then she should have found a waitressing job or something, anything, to at least contribute to the fees.

I wonder if the divorce had a negative impact on the eldest daughter (whom remembers it well), and those mental afflictions were never addressed so she began self medicating with drugs and it spiraled into a scenario where she landed in jail? Not defending addicts, they should seek help. But the cause and effect maybe backwards. The mom might have an addiction issue that led to the divorce and explains why she's still living off of her parents and the daughter followed suit. I am just saying that the daughter might have earned her way to prison but not necessarily the cause for the family drama. Just adding to the flames that already existed you know

But if you are stay-home mom and can't afford $5000, don't hire an expensive service for your child, like an attorney.

The defendant's father died last year (her mother died four years previously)and he left everything divided equally between his three daughters. The leech is fighting her sisters for the full amount on the grounds that she has been fully supported by her parents for nineteen years, lived in their home and was completely dependent on them,The crazy thing is the law says she's correct and has a very good chance of winning.

This is why I caution young teen women whose sole life goal is marriage and having children to take time to gain skills that earn money first. So that when the douse dies, or leaves, you have a way to support yourself and half of your children's care. There are many community college courses that in 2 years prepare you to do many things that bring in a decent wage compared to fast food.

I mean it's clear what happened here. The defendant tried to allude to it a few times. It's not a good excuse but it is what it is. She clearly got screwed as a realtor during the Global Financial Crisis and the meltdown of the housing market. She was making REALLY easy money during the bubble and overleveraged her personal finances and then when everything came crashing down she figured out she really isn't that good of a realtor. She ended up in a lot of debt and her confidence was shattered and she clearly never mentally recovered from it. She needs to grow up and get back in the saddle, but it isn't unique for people to stay down when they fall. Shame.

The father seems to work hard and shouldnt be selling his motorcycle and boat and 5000 so she can keep being unemployed, living in a home paid by her parents. blue book value - 500 for a second hand bicycle.
