      Especially with the 2020 F250 and Chevy 2500 with homely front end. RAM's interior continues to set the bar on both design and quality -- they've come a long way in a short time. Looks like the Fiat purchase was a really good move.

      Zach Carpenter I used to be a General Motors fan. Don’t get me wrong. But when gm and Ford mechanics tell me they bought the dodge or ram instead. That speaks loudly. So I bought a 2001. It still on the road today a little rough around the edges. And the kicker is I see ten of the rams from that body style for every one of the gm or fords of the same period. That’s enough proof for me. When something is made well it always stands the test of time. 18 years and still goin strong.

    I have been a Dodge Ram owner since 95. I bought 7 of those trucks. The most recent one was bought in July 2018. At 15,000 miles the back left tire was wearing terribly uneven compared to the rest of the tires. I took it to the dealer and they were no help. Told me to go to a Firestone dealer. I went to 2 Firestone dealers and got the same message..... the dealer will have to warranty this. I contacted Dodge directly and they said......."we don't warranty tires, here is firestone's number, at this time we will be closing this case". I said at this time I will be trading in my 2500 Tradesman and buying a Chevy. I will never again buy from Dodge if that's how they treated me after being brand loyal since 1995 and never bothering them about a single issue. Beware of Firestone tires and Dodge's customer service folks.

One thing I actually really like about the 2016 was that the center consul folds up to become a seat in the middle. although I wouldn't use it as a seat, on long trips to my ranch, my girl could lay down on the front stretched out and so was super comfortable. Not sure how that can happen now... will the third middle seat still be an option? Having a 14' limited I bought new and now looking to trade for the 19' I'm a bit disappointed that the larger sunroof that is available in the 1500 is not available in 2500 or the 3500. Ill also say that the back seat did a major downgrade in comparison to the older model as far as comfort goes. With that in mind I'm on the fence about buying now or waiting to see if the 2020 offers the sunroof at least. I will also say while a die hard Dodge fan, Fords massaging seat is pretty darn nice so it would be cool to see that option in these trucks.

I like the tow package but the front end is too low to the ground for a truck. I have engine problems now at 50,000. I bought it with 26,000 1 year ago. Lots of people are saying they have the same problems. Poor acceleration, shuttering, jerking, hesitating and shaking at highway speeds. GM has no fix for it. They say that it’s poor fuel and carbon/gunk buildup in the top end but none of this should happen until 200,000 or something not at low miles.

      Yes the high level trims on the 2500 have terrible payload. You get about 2500 lbs of payload in the mid-level trims and a little more in the Tradesman...for 4x4 diesel crew cabs, which I assume is how most trucks are these days.

      @carguyeyedoc 5 років тому +2

      wouldnt count on one. those models represent a tiny fraction of trucks sold, most who want a RC want a long bed to use as a work truck, and most who want a SB want a crew cab since they likely have families and dont need to haul a ton of stuff in the bed. I'd guess ram sold less last gen RCSB 1500 than they did last gen manual 2500/3500 trucks, and they got rid of the manuals, so...

I can wait couple years before deciding on a $60k+ truck. Damn, a double whammy against Toyota. To say they have headwinds ahead is a major understatement. More like hurricane. IF Toyota gets it's act together and comes out swinging heavy there will only be two vehicles standing in 2022. Toyota & Ram even with Toyota showing their hand a year early. On the other hand if they do half measure they might as well sell stone wheels with hat new truck because that's what will be dragging around for the next 10 years. This is a fight Toyota can't come to 60lbs overweight.
      Ram trimmed 60#'s off the engine and other areas. Ford went on a diet. So for all of Toyota technological know how that's not enough they have to be "fit".
