Thank you for making a no nonsense very brief and concise video. I just want to know how to do things in seconds not in 30 min like some of the other videos. I couldn’t get the A/C Pro App to do anything on my Apple iPhone 12, so I turned to UA-cam, and thank GOD you made this awesome video. JESUS bless you always. JESUS is SEMPER FI
So when you recharge I have a v6 camaro do u go to the highest cold setting or wat you recommend I saw that u can mess up your blend door in the highest setting?
The blend door motors are weak, usually break because the motor/actuator goes out of calibration and over stroke the door. I recommend having them calibrated (using a scan tool special function HVAC system) You should be able to run at max a/c if the doors are in correct calibration. The blend door is literally a joke issue, and GM should provide an updated part considering the book job requires windshield/dash/console/steering column/full a/c evacuation, and complete removal of the air box system, splitting the air box case and reassembly...just to replace an $18.00 plastic flapper. You can do surgery with a hot knife on the drivers side and carefully cut the airbox and remove it that way, but it's sad to have to destroy the future value of your car because of such a piss-poor design and quality (or lack of) component. This video is simple and to the point, I would only ad to tip the can all the way over off and on so you get more of the PAG oil into the system (its denser and doesn't always like to lift out into the hose without a little gentle encouragement. Good Luck
@@liltweakie4325 agreed. ive had my camaro since 10' and frankly im noticing more and more what a horrible design for the components are. i mean having to do all the things you said for a piece of plastic is ridiculous, will not be buying another cam thats for sure.
Thanks for the video. Got it charged up but it seems like my actuator is stuck. All winter with no heat and now no air. Not worth paying to fix it. Last American car I'll ever buy.
Please help me right now somebody checked my “dex-cool” and said it was empty and then a different person took me to the store to get a bottle of “O’Reilly Dex cool compatible antifreeze & coolant prediluted ready to use 50/50 do not add water ready to use” And I don’t know where to put this liquid in a 2012 Chevy Camaro please help me
By the front bumber. Left side f your hood latch is your “overfill” where allows fluid to travel due to conditions. “Heat expansion, over pour, etc. you fill Coolant from your coolant fill cap and release coolant from the radiator peacock. Google google google (at least if it’s the v6 2010-2013) how to change my coolant and read the available camaro5 forums big helpers.
Well, I don’t know for sure but this seems to be a good fix for a big percentage of people. It’s worth a try considering the cost imo. But to be sure, take it to a mechanic. Hope this is helpful!
Yeah I made a mistake and bought a refrigerant called EZ Chill and the adapter wouldn't fit securely on the lowside and freon went everywhere. Didn't pan out to good for me @NLM
@@lilyelizabeth8525 I stopped using my AC due to the high rate of blend door failures. Ideally you want to limit your cold side setting to one "click" left of the first blue dot. Even then you may experience a blend door failure over time due to other factors, but this setting limits the number of times the actuator stresses the blend door.
okay, i would try to recharge the a/c. there could be other issues and this isnt a guaranteed fix for everyone because some people may have other issues but if it does work it will be the cheapest.
the process will be similar as far as how to use the products in the video. the only difference will be where the port is. I do not have a 2017 and am not sure where that port is but what you are looking for is the low side service port location. Once you find that, you can follow the steps in the video after. Have a nice day.
@@reybat4969 so actually, right after I commented, I went out and tried again. The hose still wouldn’t clamp down, but I just held it in place while I recharged the system. All good now! 🥶❄️
Not sure about that. Can’t hurt to try if it’s not blowing cold air but I don’t remember a whining noise. Hopefully someone else sees your comment and responds with an answer. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.
@@samsondog2182 Nope. Have been too lazy (and mainly poor) to figure out what the actual problem is. I'm also almost done paying this car off so I'm just gonna trade it in for a 6th gen at some point.

finally! a good quality video for this issue! thanks so much!

Of course! Glad I could help!!! 👍
Good video man. Straight to the point. Nice going.
I appreciate that man. So many videos go on and on about stuff that isn’t important. Have a nice day.
Do you leave the car on when recharging the AC?
As Denzel would say… “my nigga” appreciate the help

This worked for mine! Thanks bro
No problem!! have a nice day
Mine will blow cold air early in the morning but late in the afternoon and evening when the sun is out it blows nothing but hot air.
Did this fix your problem? I’m dealing with the same thing
Same it’s annoying asf
Also, if recharging your system did not work. Check your blend door motor and/or blend door.
Thank you for sharing!
Yo b4 you put the ac pro was your car just blowing hot air with out the compressor kicking on?
At all times the air was hot or warm.
@@NLM appreciate it bro bro ,hopefully this my works tmrw 🤦🏽
Right on the money..I have cold Air
Do you use the entire can?
What year camaro do you have ?
2011.
Haven’t driven my Camaro in 3 years. When I turn the AC on dust blows out the vents. Is there something I can use to sanitize the vents
Try changing out your cabin air filter

Yes it 100% can I have actually heard of someone that the fuse blew out and was the solution as well.

So we need the car on ?
Thank u
What AC PRO do I need?
all should work i recommend a smaller bottle. just make sure its 134a.

Public Announcement!! Never on a 2010-2013 Camaro turn the AC all the way up! You will break your blend door!
It seems you have experience with this and I appreciate you lending that knowledge to everyone else reading this! Thank You!!!
What air setting do you recommend? And from other videos they have the car is on and running...Is that correct as well?

I’ve replaced 2 already so this is true
@@user-bc1kp1sl2e christ! from my understanding the entre dash and windshield need to be removed to get to any of the AC components.
How do I know if my car has any ac in there still ?
Turn the A/C all the way up and see if cool air comes out. If not, when you use the A/C pro, it wont come out or work if it is already overfilled.
nolimitmarro my ac blows low low cold air

Is that lt4?
No, this is just the V6.
What do you do if you tried all the steps and it still doesn't work?
Is 14-15’ any different?
As long as it's a V6, it's the same as shown in the video
Does this work for the heat also ?
Where is the ac low pressure switch located?, thanks.
I believe it is a sensor and not a switch. And there is a diagram online of where it should be located. I found one on a Camaro forum page.
