    She still runs after all that water in the engine bay?! Don't sell it cheap then! An Alfa that starts after an engine wash is priceless!!!

      @Number27  7 років тому +1

      Ha!!! I was very careful and sprayed WD40 in all connectors before and after the jet wash!! I was pretty worried about doing it

      Ahah she looks swell now, good luck with the sale and what's coming up next? Maybe do a video and let people suggest and spoil your thinking for the next buy... I'll give you one, Maserati Biturbo!

    • @Number27
      @Number27  7 років тому

      Hey, soon as she's sold I will do a video confirming and asking for suggestions on the next one! Will have to be something cheap though as a replacement for the Alfa. Bigger budget when I replace the Maserati GranSport!

      I have few Alfas now , some I dont have any more but I wash engine on every car few times in one year or every time they are dirty enough to make me do so and I have never ever had a problem to start or any other problem because of it. On TS engines especially electric components are very good protected and hided and I think only If someone on purpose can get it wet - there is not a chance to hurt your car with washing. I have V6 156 too - same thing, everything is shilded and there is no problem to wash engine - every day if I want. I know where you are aiming on here but Alfa Romeos are GREAT cars no matter some (jellos) ppl talking about them ! They are sports cars and if you drive and push them to the max you should open your wallet and keep everything in order in a sam way as you drive it ;) If you take a care about them they return every nickle and second you put in them :) I have fall in love with them very bad ... ha ha ! :D

    I recently picked up a cheap 2001 Twin Spark Spider, and after a bit of work and $ it's quite possibly the only one on the planet with no airbag lights illuminated! It's only done 169000kms (about 104k miles) in 22 years, and has a full history. The custom exhaust makes the engine sound properly Alfa-like, and while it won't win many drag races it's piss funny to drive. And thanks to our climate in Western Australia, I get to enjoy it with the roof down about 300 days a year.

      Mine has no airbag lights on! Because I discovered when looking through some old invoices that a previous owner had the LED removed. 😳

    Amazing dedication to that car.
    I've always hankered after a v6 but seeing you afford such love to that twinspark makes me pause.

    Beautiful car, I had a 2.0 16v 155, that engine is glorious for what it is. It's not fast as you said, but very revy and responsive if you ask me - it's still N/A 2.0L from 1995, we shouldn't forget that lol. Also about the GTV, I love the 1st series much more, facelift looks so weird to me. Also, nice wheels on it.

    Good work! My new V6 is at the garage having a semi-refurb. You should come take a look once it's ready. Good comparison to the Tspark.

    Hi say that this gtv is not fast. Then something is wrong with car. All gtv should be fast if they are in perfect condition.

    Good luck with sale, some simple but very effective touch ups. Should attract £1700 without any issues.

      Thanks Alex, fingers crossed. it's not for the money I'm doing it obviously as really not worth it.. but nice to own the car for a little while and hopefully prove I can cover all my costs. including insurance and parking

      @Orange-label 7 років тому

      Absolutely, just a bit of fun. I'm doing the same with a red mark one mx5, similar to your previous video.

      Col
      Maybe he convinced his wife to give the wooden floors a more greyish old look. The "alfa romeo grigio" feel is a quite popular choice these days indoor :)

    Hi, nice vid. I have a silver twin spark too. Any chance of a vid showing what you actully did to touch up the stone chips etc?
    and also how you removed and resprayed the mirrors?
    I need to do both jobs on
    mine so it'd be nice to see, as I'm a total amateur.
    Thanks!

    • @DH-om6gj
      @DH-om6gj 6 років тому

      so for the chips, you just touched up over the crap job? you didn't remove any of what had been badly done? I thought you'd have to so it's nice and smooth and so the finished surface is flat and doesn't stand out
      I assume you mean paint and not "pint"?

      Thanks Domic, really nice of you to say that! I'm not sure I would say that 'fame' is really something that applies here but when i hear people like the vids that makes it all worth while!!

    Bad motor mount is why that air boot is torn.

    • @chrisElearning
      @chrisElearning 6 років тому +1

      Could be but also they just go with age. Mine on my 98 GTV was the same. FIxed with race tape, and then replaced. Engine mounts were fine. No movement. Just old perished rubber from italy.

      I like it, including your logo but I wouldn't be disappointed if you remove it as it's the content that I really like. Maybe consider adding the intro after you've introduced the episode yourself?
