Well done DIY homemade Carriage Cross Slider Milling Attachment and Compound Slider
New projects homemade lathes bed (second lathe)
Hello UA-camr, today I’m glad to share my new second homemade lathes.
I do happy to make a bigger size because my first lathe the size is a bit small, when milling a big plate of thick metal is not easy because the length is not enough space to milling than the plate metal I used is thin most are 10 mm thick.
So I decided to make a new lathe bigger than the previous lathe. Now there is enough experience to make a new lathe also.
I hope you all enjoying my new lathe from part 1.

Sehr gute Arbeit!
Woao what a work!!! Congratulations. Grettings from México.
Can't wait to see it working ;)
Thanks my friend I'm not sure how long it takes because now I'm stuck on the gear rack for tracking the carriage and some part of the head is stuck I can't find it.
very good build !👍
Thank you for the best time to watch
This may be irrelevant five months later but, could you get a broken motorcycle clutch and crankshaft drive gears locally?
Something small like 50cc 'Honda' (or Chinese/Indian clones from last 50+ years)
It would be more than strong enough as they are designed for a 9hp engine (and usually only have around 5-6 hp going through them)
I'm sure someone as smart as you could also use the transmission gears, either cut front off engine or make new side plates from steel plate.
Just in case you didn't know :-
When your tightening down a line of screws, start in the middle and work towards the ends.
That way, if there is any sort of distortion it lets the metal move (same as fitting cylinder head on car engine)
What you have done is very impressive.
Thank you for your patience
Nice job
Thank you so much for your reference I do hope you enjoy.
Amazing!!!!
Thank you for your best time. I do hope you enjoyed this video.
You are amprove a lot
Thank you, my friend, for your reference
Thank 🙇
Is it possible somehow to make a lathe on bearings instead of cutting out sliders for a long time and hard
Kreatif❤
Thank you for your patience
Wouldnt cast iron have been a better choice? Its less subsceptible to shape distortion.
Yes it would, but, have been but have you seen the price of cast iron?
Even a relatively small piece is over $100 in USA, to make a complete lathe it would be cheaper to just buy a Chinese import.
If you watch Stefan Gotteswinter, (he's in Austria) he could probably tell you prices in Austria/Germany?
What metal do you use?
👍👍👍👍
