Dr. Hui Xu discussed how to play a trill in this #Shorts video. Demo Examples: Clementi Sonatina Op. 36 No. 3 mvt 1 Playlist: Piano Q&A #PianoTrills #HowToPlayTrills #TrillsinMusic
Don't get me wrong, i have been studying music for a long time, but the 2-3 fingering indication above wouldn't mean that the starting note should be the lower note of the trill? Or is it just the suggested fingering for the trill? Asking out of curiosity (i do my trills the same way as you).
@@mwhossaini It also depends on time period. Baroque trills play differently from Romantic trills. And there are many more reasons. I will try to see if I can do a long video for more examples of trills. Thanks
I’m self taught and this really helps. 😁 It’s very helpful 😁
I’d love to have a teacher one day, but I can’t afford piano lessons 😢
What books do you play?
I'm working on this sonatina! It's such a coincidence I'm looking for trill help and this is the example song. Thank you so much
Glad it's helpful!
Haha! I played this piece for a recital a few days ago, what a funny coincidence!
Thank you... this will help a lot as I can play this sonatina...but not the trill!
Good informations thank you so much
Yes thank you very much! I can already tell I will feel much more confident with my trills instead of the random flurry of notes I would do before.
Glad to help.

It depends on the composers, styles, genres, many reasons to decide how to play the trill.
Hi guys, does anyone knows a good piano teacher in Rhode Island?
Piano teacher
How many notes do you play in a trill?
It depends on the length of the trill note.
@@InnerArtofMusic thank you, do you have a video on how to figure out the length of a trill note? I can't find any videos that covers this.

Oops I played the exact same song with the trill starting with D rip
