    Super helpful. People say this is an easy sonata but especially when it comes to the trills you will always be able to tell the difference between a master and a hobby player.

    I am not surprised to find a lesson for these trills on the Mozart sonata. I have been learning this for many months now and It has been pretty hard to combine the trills with the left hand notes

    Thank you for playing the trills slowly so I can hear how they are supposed to be played, & then playing them at full tempo.

    Great, clear instruction on the trills and your playing is for me a perfect model of what this piece should sound like.🌟🎼

    Thanks! Definitely helped me with the second trill. Many videos show the trill starting on the G note.

    Thank you for sharing! You play it so very nicely in full. I do notice tho that some argue that the first trill is played with the top note (G) first, and that the preceding G does not change that tradition.

    I described that big trill to my piano teacher as trying to walk and chew gum at the same time, while riding a unicycle backwards...blindfolded

    I want to thank you for your very helpful video. I had difficulties with the second trill, but now I manage to play it. And last not least I like your way of teaching. So I hope to find more of you :-)

    Now I understand the principle(?) or the precise length of the note on the second trill from your performance and explanation. Although it is another matter whether I will be able to handle it or not;;

    As far as the trill in m. 15, I would disagree with your suggestion to start on the upper auxiliary because the trill is placed on an appoggiatura note (the G is an appoggiatura to the following F#), so beginning on the upper auxiliary would thus create an appoggiatura of an appagiatura, which is not recommended.

    • @GSHAPIROY
      @GSHAPIROY 3 роки тому

      @@KevinR3i Well, I guess the editors didn't understand what an appoggiatura is.

    I've been stuck on that second trill part for weeks. I had to slow down the speed and hear that you play that little A right when you play the C in the left hand

    it seems like when I play the trill on page 15?...at a tempo of like 120 bpm, that damn thing is like the speed of light!!
    it almost seems there is an adjustment of tempo in the left hand to make the two notes after the trill fit ....I mean that thing is warp speed!...lol.....32nd notes at 120....tough

    how do you developed a such a clean and precise right hand (and left). It sounds robust, clean, accurate and very Mozart. Apart form scales, and arpeggios, what else (tip) do your recommend to play Mozart and sound Mozart?

    Thanks for trying to explain the trills. It would help a lot if you would also show, besides playing them rather fast, which makes it difficult to follow what you do exactly,,especially for the second trill, a written example of them all. Fortunately I saw a written example of the first two trills below the picture of the sonata.

    I really dislike the sound of the trills starting on the higher note! I'm never going to change to that way of starting the trills. While I'm at it I fail to see why so many people try to play this piece at a tempo that makes you think the devil himself is after them. I prefer to hear and savor all the notes, phrases, etc. A piano teacher I know has said something to the effect of "YOU are the one playing here. YOUR interpretation of Mozart's suggestions on the page is the one that counts.
