SOCOM replacing 308 with 6.5 Creedmoor

I realize this is a 2 year old video but just got my first 6.5 creedmoor today...with two 20 round boxes of ammo (limited to two lol) and watching videos getting pumped to go shoot it tomorrow.

if you want a 6.5 get a 264 WIN MAG bet it every day //

David Orpwood if ya want to go to a magnum 6.5, ya might as well get the 6.5 PRC or the 26 Nosler really... though the 264 mag is a great round, the newer magnums are easier to find ammo for and more rifles are chambered in them now days....

308 doesn't have enough velocity, lol. 308 literally shoots heavy bullets at the same velocity as creedmoor.

Yeah that's the wrong way to put it... 308 has velocity, just doesn't have the flight patern that 6.5 does.

@@--RSL-- my understanding is it also has better terminal energy at those longer ranges as well. Not by much, but more none the less..

@@brazenbull636 correct, bc its moving faster. 6.5 hits hard, i have both rifles and the 65 will push swinging steel harder than 308.
