In my 20’s I hustled so much, and I definitely think there’s a time and season for that, but now I’m trying to slow down and actually enjoy each day with less stress & less urgency. I hope these tips & planning help you feel less of all of that 🥲💖
Maya - I like to watch UA-cam videos (like yours) when I’m doing chores like folding laundry. That way, I don’t dread these chores as much because I have something enjoyable to do at the same time. I have been living a kind of super-busy “hustle” life since I was in high school. I’m in my 40s now, and I’ve learned so much. It’s all about priorities, and it’s okay for priorities to shift as you grow older and move through different life stages. Praise the Lord, I have a tendency to be high-energy, but I’m an introvert, so lack of alone time drives me to burnout, and I have to be aware of that. One area that I really let go was keeping up my home. I spent so many years focused on motherhood and my career. Now my son is 16 and fairly independent, so I’m working on turning my attention to my home, and making it a haven of peace and joy. God bless!
Seeing a new video from you always makes my day! You inspired me to be more productive. After seeing one of your videos, I went from a couch potato to a productive person in one day! I've also started working out, drinking more water, and trying to eat healthier too! Thanks Maya!
@@mayaleex3 no. YOU are amazing. Thanks so much for the reply Maya! You're always so encouraging and you're my favorite youtuber. And I love the fact that you're so open about your faith too! It's great to see
This was so needed, Maya! I'm a college student who works 30 hrs a week and probably has some ADHD, so staying organized and reducing my mental load is a huge goal right now. I'm excited to check out x-tiles. Thank you for your inspiring videos!
Wow Maya this video gave me much life!! The prioritizing point and writing out the time slots were super helpful! Thank you so much! Blessings to you !! :)
Your videos are always so therapeutic, inspiring, and relatable, Maya. You gave me a new perspective about hustling. As an eldest of 6 and as a teacher at that, I've normalized hustling in my late 20s and early 30s while having a full-time job and doing my masters, too. So, I got seriously burned out, so I decided to take an almost 2-year hiatus now and focused on finishing my masters first. Ironically, I missed doing my part-time job, so I've been contemplating if I'll go back or not. Your video is an eye-opener. Thank you so much, Maya. Padayon 🌻
Awww.. I feel so similarly! I'm an only child which makes me feel like the "eldest" and the "youngest" at the same time since it's only me. I've also hustled throughout my entire 20's and sometimes taking a break can make me feel like I'm being selfish or I'm not doing enough -- but more and more I'm learning that rest is JUST as important! We have to be able to work excellently and that only happens when we take care of ourselves. If you feel you can handle a job on the side that still offers balance for, then I say go for it :) and if you try and decide it's not for you, you can leave!
Right now I’m doing my second level to clinical as an occupational therapist and right now I’m in the school setting. I really love it and the OT I am with thinks I would do amazing in schools but I know OT‘s in the school tend to make less. I feel like I also really liked working in home health for the hospitals but I’m trying to decide what setting I wanna go into when I graduate in May. I think I’m leaning towards that I should probably do what I love even if it makes less money. I’m praying about it and trying to figure out where God has me.
Recently, I realized I have so much more time that I need a hobby LOL! But I have no idea what kind. It's hard to find one. What things do you like to do Maya? Maybe it can give me an idea.❤😊
I love this!! Honestly, do anything & everything that allows you to rest, be creative, or enhance your talents :) puzzles? Different types of workouts?
Dang. 6 hours of church per week impressive. My goal is 4 per Month😂. Side note - in group I floated the idea that Romans 13 was snuck in by an HR Lady. It didn’t go over well. 😮

Hahaha our church loves to socialize!
I discovered your channel, when I want to wake up early. But... I should wake up early, when it is don`t work for me?
It depends.. do you HAVE to wake up early? Like do you have work, studies or anything like that?
