- This is a combo kit comes with a small Philips screwdriver. We will only need the flathead but this is the best value for the price
BMW Part number: 11 42 8 575 211
Engine oil was BMW OEM but it is not needed. Using Full synthetic brands such as Mobil 1 or Liqui Molly is perfectly fine.

Brother the BMW G30/G31 Diesel need 5w/30 Oil, the best brand is Castrol 5W/30 LL the LL mean its LongeLife Oil, greetings from switzerland

No I’m sorry that model will have a different engine. It will have either the B58 series engine or the 8 cylinder. I am looking to get that engine in soon to do a DIY on it. I do however have a short video on the B58.

No for the diesel it will most likely be different. I don’t believe we have the diesels in our market area anymore. Are you in Europe?
For our older Diesel engines we usually put Mobil1 diesel oil.
Filter brand that is pretty much OEM without the box is Mann oil filters
Mann engine air filters
MAHLE for cabin filters

How to know exactly the model of the engine? I have checked many sources, but I can't determine whether the engine of my car is B46 or B48.
Very good question. I believe the B46 is the SULEV version. I honestly don’t know how to tell them apart just by looking at them. I’m going to do some research and get back to you. @@friendlymechanic9778 I have looked up my VIN. But the displayed results are different. Some places display B48 and some places display B46. And the engine version is different, some places display B48B20O0, and some places display B46B20O1. It is confusing. The best way is to look at the code engraved on the engine block, but it requires a lot of removal, which is very troublesome.
According to experience, the one sold in North America should be B46. Other places should be B48. These two engines are only different in emissions, and other accessories should be common.
At that time, I inquired about the engine model in order to purchase related accessories. I've only had 27,000km on this engine. But I have to prepare a backup of his consumables in advance.
For example, the base of the oil filter is changed from plastic to aluminum alloy. Also, the connecting pipes for the coolant and the engine block were changed from plastic to aluminum alloy.

32mm socket will be for the B58 engine and it’s variants. For the B46 it will be the 27mm

The tiny hex looking one? Should be a 6MM hex socket.

BMW charges how much for this? This isn’t hard.
I think it depends on the BMW center you go to. But generally the prices are not too bad because the dealer prices the oil changes very close to cost to get customers in the door.
