Biggest mistake Oklahoma made back, then was getting away from option football… Nebraska stuck with option football with great success in the 1990s… and won three national championships
Bring back the Astro turf , the cool and nice turf shoes, and that nice fast track. OU and other should run that offense, it’s hard to defend against and lots of movement,
Have always wanted to see this game. We got the Florida - Tennessee game that day instead. On paper a better game, in reality... not so much. Thanks for posting!
The most recent matchup between these two schools (although given how many Saturday night games they've played on ABC since 2006, I'm surprised it hasn't happened recently)
Curtis Conway! Any chance you have the 'SC game, probably from the same season, where he had that spectacular punt return? I wish that I could remember the opposing team. I want to say that it was against Stanford, but I could be wrong about that. Edit: I found it! It was the year before against Stanford: ua-cam.com/video/lmRA7mz6-Yc/v-deo.html
I grew up with Rob Johnson he was a great athlete good shooter guard in hoops...good as a wide receiver ...and played at El Toro in mission Viejo ..he wasnt a stsrting QB until his senior year I recall .maybe his junior year...his brother was the top guy along with Todd Marinovich.. .Steve Stenstrom ( standord and nfl plater) .and his brother Brett johnson ( ucla michigan st) after a pretty good nfl career ( bills starter abd back up w jaguars w mark brunell) he coachws with his dad Bob Johnson ar misdion veijo ...this team was talented but mediocre..rebuilding really ..this was Robinsons first year back . Yeah..crappy year .. freedom bowl or donerhingvcrappy...and not quitexwhar SC fans were ised to...i wasnt following as much as i had hung up my cleats after q year at JC and major shoulder surgery....nice to see some old names of guys i played agaibst sbd with Estrus Crayton fron Santa Ana...menories ..fight on!!!

Agreed. Field turf is the worst thing to happen to athletics in decades 👎

Any more K-State games from the 90’s or 2000’s?
