Dude, best test I have seen thus far, I just bought these and now super stoked to see they did so well X Vive should pay you for really putting this unit to the ultimate test.
I agree best review and demo I have seen so far. Goes right to the crux of the questions one might have without to much technical jargon. Answered 99% of the questions I had. Awaiting for mine to arrive. Thanks again for posting.
If I'm not mistaken your ZLX is a bluetooth enabled speaker. Instead of ordering 2 sets of XVIV, use one. Then pair up the speakers with bluetooth and run in Mono. 100% of club sound systems are in mono. Thanks for the very helpful review. very helpful.
Great review! I was looking for a wireless system for my wedding gigs and Xvive U3 system are perfect for setting up a speaker with wireless connection.
Hello, I bought the set of XVIVE and tested it on my speakers and if the truth works very well, "But" there is a small problem that for me has no importance and for others it may be that yes, when putting the XVIVE In the speakers it loses 10% sound quality and height since I put them in amplified speakers and I don't have negative speakers, that is my comment about the loss of quality but the speakers can be regulated since the XVIVE sharpens them, with the volume height that you lose can be given more volume, the good thing is that you avoid cables, thanks for your attention, greetings from Spain, anyway they are also for dynamic microphones
Finally...FINALLY! I found someone who answered the question I've been searching for answers for. One more please. So when you plug microphones into the mixer, the sound comes out on the speakers as well as the music right? Thanks for any answers, and thanks a million for this video you gave us. The best video I ever seen about those wireless system related to mixer connection to PA system (Speakers). Good explanation. Great job! Greetings from my country Brasil.
U can’t use 1 receiver for 2 transmitters? Like plug a transmitter into each speaker and leave them both on the same channel into one receiver? I wish they were skinny enough to fit both receivers on the mixer side by side
Nice! Thank you so much for this video. GREAT functional test, as you are using it exactly as I wanted to use it.. .for speakers. I work at a bar with a strange shape... and a I need to do a long 90ish foot run. Are you able to use the "link out" option on a WIRED powered main and connect a 3rd main with the xvive u3 receiver. I don't want to have to use the xvive on my mixer. I want to be able to use it to "link out" for a third speaker 'if I ever happen to need the 3rd main' hypothetically
Great job my friend.I Have a question, I have the same Yamaha mixer hooked up to a controller for more headroom, what do you think I should do?Do I need one more pair so I can have two on the controller also?
Awesome! Thank you so much for your awesome review. I got a question, real quick: is it possible to charge these dongles while operating? Have you figured this out?
@@SimpleDJLife I think you did a good job. You covered the most important features and also made it fun. I would be great if you did a video on how to fix WiFi issues that might come up when using the U3. Again, thanks!
Do you know if these will work by putting the transmitter in the speaker and the receiver in the other speaker kinda like daisy chaining?? Instead of putting the receiver only in the mixer…. Thanks in advance
Are these still working well for you since purchasing a while ago and after much use ? Is it possible to power them while in use? was thinking about using at events , but if the event last over 5 hours and i have speakers on the other side of the room and they go off :( would beat putting a ton load of XLR cables around a big room anyday if it did. Thanks for the great informative video :)
Having them all this time I have experienced dropouts from time to time, mostly transmitting music. They can be powered while transmitting and I always have a portable anker battery plugged in to the transmitter and receiver while using them. I'm going to purchase the Sennheiser XSW's soon as they are their version of these transmitters. But I heard they were better. Thanks for watching.
If your talking about going from speaker to speaker. With a transmitter coming from the board, a receiver (mix in) transmitter (mix out) from speaker 1. Then a receiver into speaker 2 (mix in) then yes. Assuming your speaker has a mix out. But thanks for watching.
@@SimpleDJLife no. Bypassing the sound board totally and just connecting the transmitter into the mix out on the speaker and connecting the receiver to an additional powered speaker. If your main speaker setup is connected (wired) then it should still work this way correct? A sound board is not needed just a wired speaker connection with mix out. It’s the same as daisy chaining one speaker to the other except wirelessly with one speaker. It should work the same i believe.
the best video I have seen about the xvive, thanks friend, greetings from Spain, you have done a good job, I was in doubt if it could be used in the speakers, and if they work but you have to have two sets for that, I have the c3c for condenser microphones, but for the speakers I will buy the c3 set for dynamic microphones that are the ones that can be put on the speakers, thanks friend greetings again,,,,,,,, you answer me if you can connect the set ok, thanks
Greetings from Trenton, New Jersey USA Friend. They are a great option to use where a wired speaker connection is not feasible. Thank You for watching and I have a link in the description to purchase them from Amazon. Thanks again friend.
Great video! Quick question, i noticed the setting was on "mic" instead of "line" for when you first connected speakers (which i will be doing), was that on purpose, or does it matter when going board/mixer to speaker?
It has to be on line when it's not used for a microphone. Microphone signals are lower than line signals, so the mic signal is boosted. Which is why it will be too loud if you use it in the microphone mode, if it's not plugged into a microphone.
Can anyone help me? I wanna try something different. I have the Mixstream Pro Go (it can run on battery only) so I wanna walk around the bar at my next gig while mixing but I need both speakers to receive music from the transmitter on my controller but it only comes with 1 receiver. Suggestions welcome! Thanks in advance!
Nice test man, but I was hoping you'd do one last test. Maybe you've tried it by now and you can tell me? Go from the board (or phone using bluetooth) to one speaker with one wireless, then go from that speaker to the 2nd speaker using the second wireless, as you would using an XLR cable. Is there any delay in the 2nd speaker? I got the EV ZLX-12BT, and when you run the blue tooth on the left speaker, you can send the right channel through the speaker's XLR to the right speaker. It would be nice to do that wirelessly, using just 2 speakers, a phone, and power cables.
Great question! I have two Mackie thump 12's. I just ordered the single pair U3 and the Dual Xvive U3D. As soon as I receive them I will try them out as I have the same question as you. The 3UD comes with an adapter in case the Mixer inputs are to close together.
Appreciate the love fam. I'm sure it would work because whenever you come out of the mixer, you go to the bottoms then the tops. So it will be the mixer>sub>top>top. XLR out from the sub and the two tops with ease.
I haven't tried it on subs as of yet but I didn't try it with the subs coming out of 15 inch JBL's with the wireless plugged into those and they worked so. Thanks for watching.
Hi, Nice review but I have two questions: 1. Is the rechargeable battery replaceable in case it is at the end of its life. 2. Can the unit work while it is charging? Thanks!
No and yes. Once the battery on the unit is gone, thats it. But im sure you can PROBABLY get a replacement from the manufacturer. I was told with regular use, whatever that is, it should last at LEAST three years. And it will charge while in use. This i have done on numerous occasions. Thanks for watching friend.
The owners manual fully says not to use them while charging because doing so could ruin the batteries. I don’t know of thats’s just the manufacturer blowing smoke for liabilities sake or if it’s actually bad for the units.
With the Xvive U3 as a wireless speaker system in mind, presumably you'd need to plug the transmitter into a monitor out (rather than standard out) or you'll only get one half of stereo? (My mixer is Dynacord CMS 1000 going to QSC K12.2 speakers if that helps?)
Correct, if your monitor out is XLR. Some mixer monitor outs are 1/4 inch. So I assume your monitor out is XLR. If not you will need a XLR to 1/4 inch adapter. Thanks for watching.
I don't see why not. I have used a splitter coming out of my mixing board. I don't get signal degradation. I have gotten slight interference though. Thanks for watching and I apologize the delayed response.

Quick question - If I wanted to use it for 2 PA's (lets say Bose S1's or even the larger L1 Model 2's) do you have to get 2 x receivers + 2 x transmitters? Or can you get just 1 transmitter and 2 x receivers which will both be receiving the same input? (understand this would make it more of a mono mix)
I'm getting one to use with the S1. We use 1 condenser mic. No cables sounds great. Possibly could put a second reciever on the same channel as transmitter#1. I'd say 2 would be best.
About 5 to 6 hours my friend. But I also found out that the more the batteries deplete it seems the it may be acceptable to interference. Thanks for watching.
The same way you would use them with a top. Remember if you are using a mixer it's best to separate the highs and lows. But if you "jumper" the tops and bottoms together, always go from the mixer to the sub THEN the tops. In this case the receiver would go to the sub and the out to the top. Thanks for watching.
