I've had a similar situation, where during an outdoor ceremony about 6 people lined up between the sender and the receiver which was only about 15ft away. The sound was constantly breaking up. I thought it was because of the mobile phones people where wearing, since the XVIVE's also work on the 2.4 GHz band. Haven't used them in critical situations like this ever since.
I really appreciate the videos you make. A couple of questions. Since it's a 2.4ghz signal, does wireless networks cause issues? And with a battery life of 5 hours, can they be used while plugged in to power?
I got this last month and had nothing but problems with it in the venue. When I set up at home and worked fine, but in the venue nothing but problems. Extremely disappointed cuz I wanted this to work so well. Now we're trying the alto stealth
Thank you for the great and thorough reviews, as always! I’m definitely interested in these, just a couple questions if you can. Would you trust these in a room with many wireless uplights around? Also, would you trust these for ceremony use, for example if my table is behind the guests, but the speaker is in front of them? TIA!
I’d like to see a demo of this where there’s a speaker 10’ away and 50’ away and see what the latency is like. If the latency is minimal then this is a game changer for any mobile setup.
Guitar center sells each component separately...I have 2 receivers, 1 Transmitter. Working awesome. Had to change channel, depending on location. Bought some of those cheap old lipstick size USB chargers to make sure they last a whole gig! Mostly ppl probably have a bunch of these in a junk drawer, just velcro to the back of the speaker. 😉
This looks to be an awesome additional to anyone's gear. Now, don't judge me but I have JBL PRX415s, yes, these are passive speakers. Would these XVIVEs work from either an amp or an external mixer to the speakers?
I've seen these products on Amazon before, and i was skeptical on the sound and if the signal range would be any good on these, but they seem to really good from your testing. One thing tho i would like is, if i was using these on my main speakers, 5 hour battery would not be enough for me since most parties i dj, go for about 7-9 hours, but its cool to be able to use any mic you want and make it wireless.
These are great depending on location you play, sound cuts off, go and check and realize the whole speaker has disappeared lolololol. Dude walking around town, great mix dude, yea that's Cleveland Terry playing live in the bar in that building lolol....ok not likely to happen but just saying keep an eye on your speakers! hehe.
I need to set up a 2nd speaker at my bar gig about 60 feet away from the booth. Because of the bar layout, running a XLR cord across the bar isn't feasible. Is there a delay in receiving the signal? I'd hate for one speaker to be 1/4 second behind. I could run a pair of X VIVEs into each speaker to make sure, but just wondering if anyone knows of a delay?
they need to release a new unit that possibly is battery swappable. another thing is the 2.4 Ghz here in the UK is like over crowded so chance of interference is very high. other than that very good product hesitating to buy at the moment though.
I love mine! The only downside is the tin building, but other than that, they are perfect. Easy to 30-45 min to charge for 5 hours of use. And you don't need a power source to use them
I bought them and the sound is horrible. I tried using then directly on my speaker and hand held mic and it is low with minimal sound. How can I fix this?

@@ClevelandTerry I'm like you Terry I'm a sound guy/DJ and have owned my DJ company for over 35 years so I understand how they but I just won't put them in that across the room situation. Thank you brother Terry
No issue for me with signal and yes they can work plugged in.
I got this last month and had nothing but problems with it in the venue. When I set up at home and worked fine, but in the venue nothing but problems. Extremely disappointed cuz I wanted this to work so well. Now we're trying the alto stealth
Out of curiosity....where do you live?
So can one transmitter in the mixer operate two receivers on seperate speakers?
Thank you for the great and thorough reviews, as always! I’m definitely interested in these, just a couple questions if you can. Would you trust these in a room with many wireless uplights around? Also, would you trust these for ceremony use, for example if my table is behind the guests, but the speaker is in front of them? TIA!
Great vid! Would uplighters running on 2.4ghz interfere with these?
Nope. Should be fine
@@ClevelandTerry Thank you :)
Are these available in Canada? I’d give them a shot
I agree they have never fail me
I own 5 u3T and 6 u3R also a U4 set for my headphones
I’d like to see a demo of this where there’s a speaker 10’ away and 50’ away and see what the latency is like. If the latency is minimal then this is a game changer for any mobile setup.
Also, what’s the battery life like when you’re at full volume.
@@matthewjswider the battery life is 5 hours. The wireless audio delay is sub .5 milliseconds. It’s negligible.
@@ClevelandTerry thanks Cleveland. These are on the “get” list immediately.
Nice Review. Will this work from throughput of speaker to push sound to another speaker?
How long is the batter life
5-6hrs
Did I win something
No
Please send us the link for that price drop. And thanks for the great review.
It’s gone. It was on Amazon.
@@ClevelandTerry I’ll verify on eBay. Thanks Terry!
Had those for approximately 5 months. They work great.
The concept is awesome they will need to perfect this product
There’s nothing wrong with the product. IMO
Have you tried using more than 2 ?
I have been using them and so far so good.
@Clevelanddj. wow great! What’s the next step?
It’s a bot
This looks to be an awesome additional to anyone's gear. Now, don't judge me but I have JBL PRX415s, yes, these are passive speakers. Would these XVIVEs work from either an amp or an external mixer to the speakers?
Your speakers would still have to be wired but you could use these from your mixer to your power amplifier.
Are you sure I can have 1 tx and 2 riceivers that riceive the same signal? 1 tx on the mixer and 2 speaker placed far away?
Which has more distance range? These or the Sennheiser?
how would these be useful wireless wise. New to the movement, old school dj. Do you have to have wireless setup speakers bluetooth etc?
They are wireless xlr. Xlr cables without the need for the cables.
Shure PSM 900's for me. 4 times as much but never have issues across large venues.
Steteo signal from a single xlr?
I've seen these products on Amazon before, and i was skeptical on the sound and if the signal range would be any good on these, but they seem to really good from your testing. One thing tho i would like is, if i was using these on my main speakers, 5 hour battery would not be enough for me since most parties i dj, go for about 7-9 hours, but its cool to be able to use any mic you want and make it wireless.
Do you notice any Latency, very interested in using these instead of XLR to the speakers. But jut a bit worried. Please respond
Just got 3 pairs of these. We’ll now have wireless speakers and 1 wireless mic at the church
Also, can you use the "link out" option on a WIRED powered main to put the xvive receiver on a 3rd powered main?? In case I need to add a 3rd speaker
How many hours can a pair last ?
To be clear you can use these to replace the XLR wires that go from your controller to your speakers?
Yeah thats right.
These are great depending on location you play, sound cuts off, go and check and realize the whole speaker has disappeared lolololol. Dude walking around town, great mix dude, yea that's Cleveland Terry playing live in the bar in that building lolol....ok not likely to happen but just saying keep an eye on your speakers! hehe.
Can use these to wirelessly monitor with headphones?? I don't want to have to buy xvive u4 if I don't have to.
5ms delay.
If your using for dual speakers do you need on your mixer to have 2 receivers for left and right
Hey Cleveland, could I use a set of these to come out of my mixer to my speakers?
Got the update and yes, gonna use these out of my mixer to my speakers!
Great product indeed! I keep these in my laptop bag at all times.
Can you add multiple receiver with one transmitter?
Yes
@@ClevelandTerry thank you
Have you got latency ?
I wonder is there any latency or delay when you scratching like Bluetooth
You need the wireless headphone version. Still 5ms which is negligible
Could you use one of these and get an adapter for 1/4" to put into a mixers headphone jack and then pair up a wireless headset?
What are your thoughts on using this for left and right mains for a full party band?
They work just fine.
Can they be used while they plug in so you don’t have to worry about dying after the 5 hours?
Can you run 2 receivers off 1 transmitter? Looking to use it for side fill. And is the battery only 5 hours?
Yes you can and it’s 5-6 hrs depending on distance etc.
they need to release a new unit that possibly is battery swappable. another thing is the 2.4 Ghz here in the UK is like over crowded so chance of interference is very high. other than that very good product hesitating to buy at the moment though.
Great to know. Thank you.
Hello Cleveland, in my Gmail Account, you told me that I won some Dj Gear. Can you let me know what I won and how? Thank you!
It’s a scam
Any way to use them while charging? To use more than 5 hours?
Yes you can
@@ClevelandTerry Thanks for the reply. I appreciate
@@Heymrdj06 there is a line and mic switch. If you’re using it on a mic it needs to be set to mic. If it’s going to a controller it needs to be on line. Also you need line of sight. Very important.
Can I charge them while they work? Meaning if i am a gig that's longer than 5 hours, can I just plug power to them so they can keep going?
Yes
How do they respond while mixing and scratching????
5ms. You won’t notice
Apparently you have created a demand, because they price is back up to $199. Still might give them a try.
Bro, you saved me money! Gratitude.
