If you have a 1996 Caprice or Roadmaster with the LT-1 with the F-41 Sport Suspension package, it's basically an undercover Impala SS. The difference between the L99 and the LT-1 is the Pistons in the L99 are smaller. The F-41 Sport Suspension had been a Caprice option since 1977. For the 1992 and 1993 model years there was the Caprice Classic LTZ, with the 5.7 V8, sport Suspension package, 15 inch black wall tires and a flat hood emblem. Caprices sales took off for the 1993 model year with the opening of the rear wheel wells. Police departments complained about the Caprice brakes in 1991 and the problem was that cops were not used to ABS.

@@ryanscarobsessions4629 Cubic inches matters!!! :-)
I preferably like the impala ss but it’s some bout that caprice
I think the caprice is better looking.that is why the 9c1 is better it's stripped down lighter but has all the performance of the impala.disc in rear eat with out cruise control and power seats ect
Nope, 94 impala ss side windows are the same as a 95 window glass wise.. the frameing of the window covers the hole left from 94 window
9 to 10 g for that caprice?
Roberto Gonzalez . I wish I could get that much. But to be honest I couldn't replace it for 9 or 10 grand. Thanks for the comment.
Yes in my area here in Ohio it's $3000 to $5,000 for a Caprice
Bryan Rothe a bunch of roadmasters and caprices in the dyt area
Bryan Rothe I caught a 94 SS from a Hamilton, Ohio police impound for $1400. It’s pretty solid. Needs front seats reupholstered, headliner, and another trunk lid spoiler. Other than that it looks solid. I have a spare 96 LT1 engine and 96 4l60e trans if it needs, should be here in Atlanta by this Wednesday. The only sad part is I get a salvage title. It’s ok I plan on keeping it passing it down to my 13yr old son. I can’t wait till it gets here.😁😜😁😜😁
Impala dual fans like the 9c1 caprice has one mechanical fan and one electric fan
good knowledge here
4" moldings on caprice sides
Like a Volkswagen they were colored all colors many more like you said black or bluish hey in 1936 and up looked still like Herbie love bug fenders rear engines headlights on fenders wheels like 60s and seventies but more primitive ones but no inner tubes like in today's bikes and cars but air valve connected to rim other regular cars valve attached to inner tubes old trucks too
Not so on every car.ived driven police cars for many years.if the cars are well taken, cared of ..there won't be any major problems.im retired now& drive a 4.3 classic Chevy, well taken care all the time
Only difference is the grill spoiler and impalas got the floor shifters and rims
Floor shifter and analog gauge cluster in 96 only. The interior door panels are the similar minus wood trim. The impalas Seats are completely different.
@@ryanscarobsessions4629 thanks for replying man that’s awesome lol I got a caprice I got a impala grill also and want the spoiler too I got the sickest 2 tone paint job concept coming soon too 🔥
They look just alike
orlando farson look closer
That’s disrespectful
So you have a chevy badge on top of one.
NOT ANYMORE. OLD SCHOOL CAPRICE EMBLEM ON THE HOOD NOW.
Caprice look like a big ass boat
So the 95 Caprice came with a LT1 huh?
Correct as an option. The Caprice could have with an LT1 from 94-96 the standard engine was a L99 4.3 V8 on the Sedans, the Wagons came with the LT1 as standard.
@@ryanscarobsessions4629 so let’s say someone wanted to get all the hp they could out of that, would it be possible to be on par with the hemi?
@@callmelilneek YEAH there are LT1 cars running low 11's and even in the 10"s N/A
@@ryanscarobsessions4629 ohhh okay sounds expensive but very fun
There's a little difference they are like fraternal twin cars little difference like ornaments tail lights like white in middle but body are same shape engines gear boxes ujoints etc mostly vast look alikes couple of very little differences like a Volkswagen very very little difference split pice windows Jetson like tail lights but vast majority was identical to Herbie of hippie days
Ill take the impala ss it hold its value better & caprice just look cop car
If as the former Caprice owner I agree with you.
I Had the police pkg caprice which was better and faster than the impala ss
Check out my 1996 Caprice on my page!!!!!!!!!!
ImPahLah
Looks like a Impala clone .
Which one
Can i have one please
Beardio “Your people” wtf....... You and this so called police that have no reason to pull people over have the same narrow mindset. People are all colors and we all as people do weird stuff. Get over yourself. No license...... sounds like a personal issue... get your ish together!!!
😙😯
4.3 baby lt1 is crappy stock.
I have a Caprice SS I want to show my car how I can communicate with you
You should have two of the same cars in different years if you're going to compare cars you can't compare and Impala with a Caprice Classic even though they look the same they are not even the same
I KNOW THEY ARE NOT THE "SAME" THAT IS WHY I MADE A WHAT THE DIFFERENCE VIDEO ON THEM. BUT THEY ARE THE SAME AS FAR AS SHEET METAL, FRAME, MOTOR AND TRANNY. EVEN THOUGH THE CAPRICE STANDARD ENGINE IS THE L99 4.3 V8 NOT THE LT1 350. THEY ARE MOSTLY THE SAME CAR. SMH
@@ryanscarobsessions4629 i got ya..but still good vid about um
