- This is a short about how to get your cat off reptile enclosure.
Don't use smells cats dont like cause there's a reason they don't like them. Some essential oils are okay for cats, but research it well first.
Foil doesnt always work for cats, it looks ugly too. My cat likes foil.
Never use electricity to keep your cat off things. Don't spray with water either.
Just pick your cat up and teach them how to jump down too. Reward your cat when not on things so they know what's the right/good thing to do.

This is not helpful at all. I’m not home 24/7. I do leave the house, I have a thing called life 🙄 so while I’m not home my cat will get on top of the cage.. Do a video of how to actually keep a cat off. And btw when I “ guide mine off “, she turns around and gets back on. Shall I guide her all day. I don’t think so.
My apologies! I find training the cat works for the most part. I also have life and she will sneak up there when I'm gone. I have to keep her in a room she's comfortable in while I'm gone. Although, I am not gone all day. She has access to food, water, and litterbox. This video was a nondetailed version of what all to do when home. Cats will be stubborn. I believe it wont always be 100% if the cage is exposed.
If possible, its better to have a reptile room where no other animals are allowed in. I unfortunately do not have that opportunity anymore. I plan on getting shelves and put my enclosures on it and tweak it to where my cat cant "ferrit" (squeeze) onto it. I hope this helps a lot more than the video!
Use double-sided sticky tape. It is transparent and does not harm the cat. Make sure you are close by the first few times in case they get stuck by more than one paw and try to take the lid with them as they leave.
You can use a water pistol when the cat gets in the vicinity. That way, you won't get a lot of water in the reptile enclosure like you would if you wait until the cat is on the cage. Then, find your cat for cuddles and treats away from the reptile.
Many cats are drawn to the lizard enclosure because it is warm and quiet. Good luck!
I do not agree with those. She doesnt listen to the water squirts anyway. The tape isnt good for them to come in contact with. She listens better with me telling her to get down. Thank you anyways though.
I believe training is better than damaging. Which I'm planning on teaching her to jump off and on things so I dont have to keep telling her

cat salvia has germs from the stuff they lick though so its worse than its own saliva. Not everyone thinks or knows about how it can effect lizards
More info I found: SOME essential oils are okay, but the common ones people use tend to be bad for them.
My cat now gets off when I tell her, pointing at the ground. She doesn't need guidance anymore.

Toward Kiki? If you think I threw her off, I didnt. I was in a rush so I didnt care what part of her was in frame, but I have unedited footage of her jumping off the enclosure herself. Had to speed up the footage and cut some out to fit 60 minutes
