How to Keep Your Cat Off of Your Fish Tank

Hi everyone! This video is about how I’ve been keeping my cat off of my fish tank using tape. My cat weighs about 10 lbs, loves water, and is part Siamese, so she loves exploring my fish tank. Unfortunately this also means she loves playing with the filter water too, which is a problem. I use regular clear shipping tape flipped over (sticky side up) attached by two other circle pieces of tape on the glass lid and also on my dresser ledge. It works to keep my cat off of both my dresser and my fish tank, and I hope it works for you too!

Yea so one of my cats is weird and she started licking the tape lol, it worked on my other cat though. Btw love the tank, I did a similar style with a big log for my beta in a 7 gallon and he loves it

Hoping this works. Came back from class to find one of my female bettas swimming near the filter. My cat had stuck her paw in the tank trying to scoop her out. One of my resboras already had become cat kibble this week😭

The thing that caught my eye the most was that makeup holder XD where did you get it I need to know, 0-0 Btw me and my dad are getting a fishy, and were worried a ton about our cats, but this helped a lot, thanks!

Haha thanks! ☺️ I got it from Pottery Barn. Yeah the tape is a great deterrent for my cat, but lately she has figured out to just jump straight up from the floor to the top of the tank 🙄 So now I cover the top of the tank with a towel. But the tape still does keep her off the rest of the dresser. Hope it works for you, good luck! Cats are dorks! Lol
