Reading all the queries and replies, is already tantamount to enrich my knowledge/enlightened me on how to make cold pressed coconut oil, after many searches. I thank you so much for sharing this video, simple and easy to follow. Again thanx a lot. God bless! More power.
I'm going to try your method. Thank you for sharing. If I'm going to recycle the coconut shell, I'll use a saw to cut it in half. Then I sand the edges and shell, smooth inside and out and shine it up. I'll glue something to the bottom so the coconut bowl doesn't roll and sits flat. I use the coconut dish as a container for home made coconut oil soap/shampoo, or sample jar of the freshly made coconut oil, or coconut flour and give them as gifts. I use the coconut pulp to make the flour. The coconut curd can be fried up and eaten. Some people like fried coconut curd but I'm not one of them. Lastly, any coconut water left over after making the oil can be frozen for use later. Just thought I would share with others, what others shared with me. Peace Out
Please never use sharp pointy knife for removing coconut meat always use butter knife it very easy to remove . My anti was very badly injured to use pointy knife .

I too faced similar issue, due to more water added (or) coconut is not well matured. What I did is to run more iterations of -> keep in fridge overnight, and keep in warm temperature, then water was getting seperated. Remove water, keep in fridge again... Please do so., You will get results for sure.
@@brownbread7360 if u heat, the process will not called extra virgin oil... if u heat the entire coconut water u will definitely get the oil, but then its just the oil not vigin oil.
Can i buy fresh coconut milk from the market and use it to get the oil using your method? If can, so i should start by adding some water into the milk? Because if im not mistaken the coconut milk is blended only from coconut and no water is added.
When I blend my coconuts and squeeze out the milk and leave it to rest for 24 hours the cream doesn’t harden so how am I supposed to take the cream out of the water??
Yves Shaz Lewis I’ve tried that, I left it in the fridge and it still stayed creamy for some reason and then I tried to freeze it and it became even harder to separate the two. I’m surely doing something wrong I’m not sure what though
Coconut oil can be in liquid or solid form depending on the temperature of the environment it is placed. This does not affect the taste or nutritional content. You can put it in the fridge if you desire but I found that unneccessary especially if you are using it for cooking.
@@YvesShazLewis thanks for reply. I will have to test it. I have normal coconuts also, but I wanted to use the dry ones for oil, actually they have a higher oil content than normal coconuts. But to add water, and then again remove it... very complicated. Maybe I should better go for a press, but that again costs more money...
I already managed to get to the last stage where i can see layer of water, oil, and at the top is the milk. Then i put in the freezer, then discard the water. But the oil and milk after 2 hours still havent melt into liquid, so i stir them. After it melt, now it become white and the milk seems like mix together again with the oil😭 is it i have fail? Or if i left it for hours, will the milk and oil separated again? 😔
Oh my god last night i forgot to keep it in fridge but I got creamy consistency that i separated into another bowl...can i continue the process in the same way or there is need to refrigerate it now....is there any chance of oil spoiled...please reply me dear
