Exterior looks great, engine sounds good and the interior in white with wood accents looks fantastic. I need a test drive.
I just test drove a 2016 Chrysler 200S with almost every available feature, very nice car, excellent build quality, comfy seats, sounded good, the nine speed transmission was smooth, I put it in S mode and did an acceleration and got pushed back into my seat, in the next couple weeks will hopefully be buying it. I was never a fan of American brands but this 200 really made me think otherwise.

Just FYI. You can also use the Chrysler 200S paddle shifters when in drive (D). Great for dropping gears for passing, traveling down steep hills or mountains or showy weather. Selected gear shows in center driver screen. This D mode does not disengage traction control when using the paddle shifters. Transmission will automatically go back to auto mode when you level out excellaration.
More proof that all revvy V6's sound amazing (better than almost all V8's, in my opinion).

Harris Anwar I think reliability is a myth. If you treat these engines with proper respect and care, they will return the favor. I currently drive a '15 Honda Civic coupe and im in love with that car, mother drives '13 explorer and shes never had any problems with her Fords (This is her 3rd Explorer). The most expensive thing we have had to fix on her explorer ('13) was the infotainment screen, because some moron stole it :/
Like I said, treat your cars with dignity and respect and you will receive the same treatment.
EDIT: I also wanted to say, yes some engines manufacturers make can be the worse, but things are changing and are so much better in this day and age. Give them a chance and they can make it your while.
About everyday i see a broken American car on the side of the road and its easy to find a video on youtube of a ford breaking down even the new ones

Purchased a 2015 Chrysler 200S V6. Great car. Great looks, power and interior. Spent weeks Shopping other brands and the Chrysler won.
Reading prior posts. The rotary shifter can only be moved from drive to sport. Not backwards when the car is moving.
Regarding Chrysler being out of business. Seems to me they must still be in business since they manufacture and sell their products. They paid most of their government loan back and dropped out of NASCAR to save money. Unlike. G (government ) M (motors ) that sponsors every form of racing know to man kind, but to my understanding stll owe the taxpayers (government bailout) I believe a total of 15 Billion dollars.
Enough with the political side. The new 200 is an excellent car that can be purchased at an excellent price. Drive one before you pass judgement.

I really enjoy my 200S. V6 runs well and the overall designs inside and outside are great. Only complaint is the egress to the rear seat. Tight fit for a 6' + person. I rarely read positive reviews on the Chrysler 200, but from my experience with this car. I have no regrets making this purchase.
***** Just FYI. You can use the paddle shifters in normal drive mode. You can tap paddle and it will show gear 9 in the center display. You can go to lower gears without having to press the the gas pedal to get to lower gears. Great for climbing large hills or simply needing more speed. Traction control will stay on unlike the S mode. It's for temporary use but I found it helpful on certain occasions.

it is, i average just over 20mpg in mostly city driving, and i like to gun it and rev past ppl like a douche sometimes :D its still better on gas and waaaayyyyy faster than my 2010 300 limited so i content!
Great car!! Huge improvement from Chrysler. I sat in one recently at a classic car show and the center dash flows very nicely. Only complaint is that the back is a little tight and the car's step in height is a little low for a midsize sedan. Great sounding engine too!

Yes. 3.6L 295 hp 262 lb ft torque.
I like this car. I think it's the best looking mid-size out there, but the thing about that rotary shifter: Someone's going to be driving down the road and maybe want to turn down the volume on the radio, so what do they do? Find the big dial and turn...backwards because you just shifted the car into reverse and probably just tore up your transmission.
There's a lockout just like any modern automatic, that prevents you from going from Drive to Reverse without pressing the brake. The worst that could happen is that someone accidentally shifts it into Neutral.
There is a fail-safe built in for that, you must use the brake before shifting.
Only if you're and idiot!

I just had my relatives from Hayward, California visiting me up here in Vancouver, Canada and I drove them EVERYWHERE in a 200 rental they got at the airport- it was very roomy, and that 9-speed auto DIAL is the BEST, everyone went crazy for it!!

I have this exact car in black. Drive over 80 miles to work each day. Currently sitting at 72,153 miles. Haven't had one problem yet

Mine is rounding 60k miles and still runs fine. Only one coolant leak though I think I scrapped up the bottom of the car on a ledge. Fixed now and not another issue since.

I never driven one though the style itself is the only thing around that might match it however I don’t know. Nothing quite like getting inside a Chrysler 200 2015/2017. These cars are pretty cool.

After getting on National he should of made a right turn on Jefferson Blvd. Drive all the way down to Overland and make a left. Nicer part of Culver City, lol.

This car is quite a Looker. I sat in one Recently, MAJOR Improvement from the last Gen 200s. I owned a 2014 200C briefly and it was nice but very boring. This car is a MAJOR Step up. Honestly if I don't add the 2015 Dodge Charger to my Collection in February either this or the Acura TLX will be next in Line.

Damnit I have the 4 cylinder 2.4 version. Do I have to buy a whole new car to get the 3.6 version or can I replace the engine ? And how much would it cost

I am appauad at how intrusive the rearview mirror is on this car. The slopping roof really does seem to hinder head room and visibility.

***** OK so I test drove the A4 & Even the A3. You are right 100% solid cars. But if you're on a budget like me the 200c awd 296 horsepower 2015 low miles for only $17k you can't beat that. The 200c is going be use as a back up car. I already have a working truck.

Not a big fan of the fish-eye camera used in this video, or the fact that the camera is up so high near the headliner. Not the usual quality WR video I'm used to.
Chrysler has some alluring cars with awesome technology, but only if their reliability was with the technology it offers.
I hope you guys heard that FCA will be dropping both the Chrysler 200 and the Dodge Dart because they're not making enough money on sedans, they want to focus on crossovers, SUVs, and trucks that everyone is crazy for these days. Oddly enough, the Chrysler 300 hasn't been mentioned of getting axed.
+LamontS. what I don't get though is what is the point of having a division that only sells two models. That is what essentially will happen with the Chrysler division, it'll only have the 300 and Pacifica after the 200 is discontinued. FCA says that a new Crossover is coming for the division but what's the point of having another SUV? There are enough of them from the Dodge and Jeep divisions.

Pentastar V6 such an epic great V6 engine. Great job Chrysler,Dodge,Jeep FCA. This engine needs direct injection soon and it will be a masterpiece of engineering. in my 300S after 15K Break in now I get 31 mpg hwy and 22 in the city regular gas and I drive very spirited btw.
Noooo don’t add direct injection that’s a nightmare to keep long term and I already had a tick on my v6 200 for something else. I’m so glad it’s port injection.
Does this car get at least 20 mpg even with the v6? Because I’m seriously considering this car but I’d like to have the v6 over a 4.

295 horse and 60% RWD bias, 9-speed ZF trans - lots of car for the money.
The 3.6 Pentastar makes 295 bhp and 284 lb-ft. of torque.
***** 262 lb ft of torque, and it's 295 hp at the crank, not bhp.

ncstate220 - Bullsh?t don't mistake the past chrysler sebring/200's for this version. That being said if you are looking to purchase the 200 I would advise anyone on getting the v6. The same engine featured in the much larger Dodge Charger. Trust me the 200 is far from a lemon. They stopped production due to the factory shifting into the more in demand Jeep Cherokee and Durango production which required a complete overhaul of their plant. Not to mention it was only the 16th best selling model in it's class. Believe me this car is a beauty and super reliable. You cant beat the price. Purchase yourself one for 16k featuring technology like, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, driver assist, park assist, collision prevention, uconnect 8.4 with wifi, bluetooth, backup cam, voice recognition, etc., seriously the list goes on. Now price that on any other vehicle and see where that lands you. I own a 2010 Audi A4, 2014 BMW 335 and a 2015 Chrysler 200c. The 200c is by far my go to and favorite of the three. I have also owned over 10 vehicles so I speak from experience. Don't be so quick to judge based on it's past life.

chevy SS it 10k more with way less options. just went and checked one out. it is a bit quicker... but 6.5 0-60 is plenty fast for most people. the thing will park itself and keep you in your lane of you fall asleep. and come to a complete stop if your too busy looking at some female on the side walk lol

You can't expect anything spectacular out of the way it drives. If you helped bail out Chrysler out of bankruptcy then we deserve to have a vehicle that we can indirectly build better than their competitors.
***** Technically, that Chrysler is dead. It went bankrupt in 2009 after paying back 11.2 billion out of the 12.5 billion it owed.
I just drove a fully loaded 2015 200C 3.6 (FWD) for over an hour on Saturday. It is a demo car of a good friend of mine who is a sales manager at the Chrysler dealer not far from my house. He just threw me the keys and said to take it out for a couple of hours if you want. I have to say it is by far the nicest car in this price range that I've ever driven. This is coming from a GM guy too. Awesome engine, awesome car! Nice job Chrysler!
