2015 Chrysler 300S - WR TV POV Test Drive

This week we headed out to Austin, TX to have a look at the new 2015 Chrysler 300. This particular example is the 300S fitted with the 5.7L V8 Hemi with 363 HP and 394 LB-FT. The new 300 features redesigned front and rear fascias, a new interior, 8-speed transmission, electric power steering, and a variety of new safety and tech features.

Just got this car with 5.7l V8 in it 3 days ago and gosh this car surely knows how to put a smile on my face while driving it. Especially with sports mode on. :)

***** 5.7l as far as I can tell from daily drive the car is that it's not loud enough. When driving around town or cruising on highway. But, when you are hard on the throttle from stop to go, you can definitely hear the hemi engine giving you the throaty sound. I personally love quiet car so I enjoy it so far.

I have one of these that is a 3.6 with the 450 horsepower Ripp Supercharger that makes 100 more horsepower and lightens the front end weight by 140 pounds. I fitted mine with SRT brakes and sticky wider tires and wheels. It is a blast!

Nice sound! Interior's nice too. Now if there was a Hellcat model, that would be the fastest "Luxury" sedan, I suppose. Not in acceleration but in top speed.

I had a 2005 Chrysler 300 Base model 2.7L V6. We got it brand-new in 05. I loved that car!! A year ago it was time to say goodbye to her. But I hope to get another in the future.

My mom had a certified 06 Dodge Charger with the 2.7L engine that was quite underpowered for a 4,000 lb. car, but it was roomy and spacious especially for a long trip. We purchased that car 3rd quarter of 2007 and said goodbye this year in April after 8 years of ownership.
