So impressed. This performance shows how instruments and styles can often be replicated while at the same time reimagined. The one intonation we hear so early in life and so often, the human voice, the sound to which we most relate, is irrevocably unique and magical. Thank you, Jon, for life, and thank you, Band Geeks, for bringing these performances back for all of us to enjoy.
Fantastic, one of the best videos I’ve seen, I have seen Yes many times since 1978 and am now loving Jon with the Band Greeks, amazing to hear Jon’s voice sounding just as good as ever and the Band Geeks really bring the songs to life, amazing 🤓
@@jeffkile5015 Jon's got all the proper energy around him now, no encumbrance of the politics of Yes. All that and the relative youth, energy and talent provided by this outstanding band translates into his free and spiritual vocal presentation at age 80. I saw them in Rochester in June, it stayed with me for weeks. Go see them if you can!
Thanks for posting. This was the highlight for me of an incredible performance. Jon sounds as good as ever, and seems to be really enjoying himself. The Band Geeks not only nailed the studio recordings but recreated all the sounds. They brought an energy and enthusiasm for the music that’s been missing for quite a while. Their precise arrangements made me think that playing this music going forward is akin to playing any through composed piece. The music is already there, now give it life and expression. Voila!
I was there at Celebrity Theater. Anderson and the Geeks were AMAZING !! A+ Concert !! Perfect play list !!! You MUST see them on this current tour. Brought back ssssoooo many memories of my young life. Absolutely 5 STAR show !!!
Just recently saw this show in Thousand Oaks (two days after the Phoenix show)...all I know is that I want to be Jon Anderson when I am 80. Still creating, still singing like he is 30 years old, still dancing with the love of his life, and out playing the music that has defined progressive rock. Thanks to Richie and the Band Geeks for being part of the YESmusic story and bringing this music out to us as it was meant to be played.
Drove down from NorCal to SoCal to see their show. Saw Yes in Oakland Coliseum in the early 70’s. A Yes crowd/audience is a great experience. Everyone is tuned in and “gets” it. Ethereal !!
Foe his age his voice is still intact. This song is iconic. Great job done here. His version with a orchestra is amazing on par on a different level...Ascension..!
I think how played a Les Paul Junior on the original recording. Graziano’s tone was amazing and his minimal departures were well thought out. I’ve seen Steve Howe play it a number of times, but this performance was as good as any I’ve seen of the song, including the GFTO tour in 1977.
My wife and I attended as well. I had seen YES in 1979 and 1990. This was inspiring … Jon has a true God given gift. The Band Geeks are a perfect compliment. What a fantastic night!
I had front row seats when Jon played with the band geeks over a year ago. The concert was amazing. Jon seemed to enjoy himself and was dancing with his wife backstage during roundabout. I also saw the original going for the one tour, so this brought back good memories.
I wouldn't have thought that anyone could get a Gibson SG to sound like a Steinberger 12-string ... remarkable use of whatever tech they employed to accomplish this, because they nailed it.

It's like a gift. That he found them and that they can tour together. Mostly though, just how great is voice still sounds. I saw them in Nashville.

❤❤ danke auch eure Musik hat mich jahrelang mit begleitet❤
My wife and I were there - incredible show. Jon is “other worldly” - I’m just so grateful he is spending time in ours!

Seriously, I mean, who could expect more? Just fabulous!!😘
The guitarist does a fab job on the last frenetic solo - kicking!
Andy Graziano is a master guitarist!!!
Monumental execution!!! 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️

Great better than the present yes.😊
Takes you back to mid 70's Yes energy and presentation. Band Geeks and Jon make a good match..

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Danke fürs Senden 😂😂😂❤❤
By the way, the harp Jon's playing is the harp used on the original album.
Impassioned ! So emotional !
Sublime.
Old spirit of the "Yes" go out. Brava Jon kaj la bando. Saluton al li.

❤❤❤❤ viele liebe Grüße aus Nordhausen das sogenannte Eishaus😢😢😢😢
Fucking hell....
Chris Clark is the second best keyboardist to have played with Jon. Prove me wrong.
First was Wakeman?
Well, you have to give credit to Rick. It’s one thing to play it. It’s something different entirely to write it.
