Jon's vocals send chills up and down my spine everytime I listen to him. He touches me everytime he sings. My Master of Music. My Phantom of the Opera.
I'm sure Chris And Alan would absolutely approve of this !! And your right koosk41, at 79 years old it's just incredible Jon still can sing at this level . These guys pay attention to detail, just like the records. Makes me happy !! Can only imagine where Jon goes in his head playing with these geeks. ✌️😃🤓☕☕☕
Thanks Jon you still have that amazing voice all these years . Always one of my favorite bands of all time. Band Geeks do a awesome performance to sounds like original yes band.
Those guys are extremely fortunate to be playing this music with Anderson. I think they’re doing an excellent job and, as far as I can tell, they’re not pretending to replace Howe, Squire, Wakeman etc. Sure, this show is a bit more low key than the official Yes shows, but I’m surprised to see some people complaining about it here. Just enjoy it for what it is. Same goes for the official Yes concerts if you like their output. I don’t mind Howe’s band at all but I’ve lost interest in Yes a while ago (I loved “Fly From Here”, but nothing after that). I’m just thankful to have seen them live in 2000, with Anderson, Howe, Squire, White, Sherwood and Khoroshev - a spectacular line-up in my opinion. 😎
Is that Todd Rundgren on Keyboards (the one with hair)?! And Chris Squire has become bald!...So has Steve Howe! But seriously...they NAILED it! As for Jon's voice, how is this man 79?! And Shane, the sound is excellent!..& I hope you were using a tripod, & not 'missing' this spectacle with your own eyes!
I have seen Yes so many times I lost count. I have seen Jon A solo a few times and with the Paul Green Academy. David B was not the guy. Jon D tries real hard. There is nothing like Jon Anderson singing Heart of the Sunrise. Sharp Distance. I had to hear his Wonderous Stories.
You guys need to find other things to do rather than criticize such a great performance. It will never be 1973 again, just continue to live in the past and remain miserable.
Steve Howe really was great. And Chris Squire was one of a kind too. But that was way back when. Unfortunately Chris is no longer with us and Steve's guitar playing isn't worth mentioning anymore. It's almost embarrassing. I wouldn't have to think twice if I'd rather see Jon (& Band Geeks) or Steve Howe. Even if Steve was accompanied by Rick. And that is saying something! Jon performing like this at the age of (almost) 80 is truly magical ...
@@ralphus555 exactly, Chris ALWAYS played it the SAME way EVERY time. (NOT!) I suppose there always has to be someone who listens with organs other than his ears.
79 years old and still sounding like that! Remarkable and one of a kind vocalist 👏🏻👏🏻
screw the haters..........THIS BAND IS KILLIN IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haters? What haters?❤
Hats off for these guys taking on a difficult song like this, and Jon still has his chops. Terrific keyboard work, and that bass!
Richie Castellano would make Squire proud!
A glorious reminder of Yes in the past and glad to see Jon still doing it today.
Awesome!! Jon is a marvel. Almost 80 and still able to perform at this elite level is simply outstanding! 👏

Me To
Way to bring it Ritchie! I love how you started the bass solo section like Chris, but DEFINITELY made it yours and OWNED it! My guess: Fish-approved!
Toujours ravi de réécouter Jon Anderson bravo pour cette belle reprise de Yes par the Band Geeks
Love the percussion ...fills when not necessary....Hell YES.
WOW! As a long-time Yes fan, that was satisfying.
Okay, this was even better than last go round, and, Jon sounds fantastic. Nice to hear those keyboards too!
Judging from the perspective, I must have been sitting near you. Incredible show! Thanks for posting.
Oh it's a beautiful voice !

Great to see Jon back making Yes music again with a very good band can’t wait to hear the Album ❤
Saw them the following day in Hammondsport, NY. So good!!!
Thanks Jon you still have that amazing voice all these years . Always one of my favorite bands of all time. Band Geeks do a awesome performance to sounds like original yes band.
I saw them on May 31st. They got even tighter, if that's possible, by June 6th. Well done video!

What great show and venue. Don't know why they call it THE EGG looks more like a clam. Great music through out!
AWESOME BAND / AWESOME JON !!!!
The Geeks amazing. Jon, for a man of a certain age is completely unreal. He is Yes. Beware all other pale imitations.
OMG That was Great 🥰😍🤩🥳❤💢💥💯💫👍👍👍
Great Tribute to the guys who created this stuff.. The true geniuses! Awesome replica!
Jon is YES
It's an awesome version indeed!
I'm amazed you got so much great footage! I usher at The Egg and usually the security nazis roam around stopping the video shooters.
In your hat. Easy.
Dreamer easy in the chair that really fits you. One of my favorite lines
Wow!
What a gift! Thank you for posting
I've got my tickets!!! See you in Patchogue!

In the old days Jon had plenty of time to crouch behind the drums and do a joint during that long intro...

It's necessary to stop at one ultimate point....
Half-step down from the original (opens in G minor rather than Ab minor). I know it's to spare Jon's voice, but interesting to hear it in a lower key
I have to go. Tell me if they ever found the tempo.
You mean find the tempo like the way Howe's version does? NOT!

You're very well spoken.
Horrible. without Steve Howe Alan white and chris squire yes does not exist
No substitute for Chris

Keeping Jon young , all that matters

as a musician and a fan of yes this is pretty f...in awesome!
Bass player is show off and disgrace
No. His is no disgrace...
Yeah, I know,... Chris was so subtle. That was sarcasm by the way...
@@halodust1304 well said, sir...(or madam...)
