I have attended about 100 Yes concerts dating back to 1975, and about 80 of them included Jon Anderson. Despite all of the magnificent Yes recordings, it was the live performances that blew me away. Jon's voice surrounded by the incredible musicians of Yes on stage is when you really understood just how good they were. I live in the L.A. area and Yes would play successive nights and I went to all of them, and also caught up with them at other various venues. One of the highlights of my life. I am so grateful to live in a time when such great music was performed. Jon Anderson is beyond remarkable, he is a gift to the universe.
Jon is so versatile and knows music extremely well. Jon not only has been singing YES music for over 50 years but also has done projects with Vangelis, ABWH, ARW, solo, Roine Stolt, Jean-Luc Ponty and the list goes on. I've seen him with YES many times and once solo as a one-man show, he never ceases to amaze me. We are fortunate to still have Jon, God Bless.
Jon has been a professional musician for 60+ years. The idea-ers cannot be stopped, and he might explode without creating world class music and seeding Love around the world. I am very grateful that he founded YES with Chris, and for his solo work with countless greats! Interacting with them has only added to his vast talent, as he incorporates new techniques and wrings the best out of his collaborators and his world of fans and friends. His sense of melody and his vision is legendary! Jon and Vangelis is such a sublime duo! *True* is a must own album, get it on vinyl while you still can! 🌠🌟🤩🌃🍀🧤💖
Sharp Distance, I get up, I get down. I would not be late to hear his Wonderous Stories. Yes concerts, solo shows, ARW, and with rock academies. Stellar, all of them.
Thank You Jon for being my guiding light over my life, I heard The YES Album in High School and I have been a huge fan all my life. Change We Must changed my life and I just got TRUE, thank you again, still waiting for an official release of Chagall. I know you are extremely busy, but that music is important. Cheers ✨Tim
I wonder what he thinks of the current ‘Yes’ with Steve Howe at the helm? Why he isn’t in the band anymore etc? For me Yes was over when Chris Squire passed away
I bought the debut LP 'YES' in 1969 and never left the YES Starship after that. With 'The Band Geeks', Jon has reinvented his YES dream and the music represents this.
During the time of Drama, I was heart broken of the lead singer change. In an interview at that time, Jon said, that Yes will continue on and on forever. I thought that it was over, and then 90125 came out, and at that time, I wondered how Jon knew that he would be back. Fast forward 44 years, the prophecy is still ringing 'True' and I still have no idea how Jon knew that Yes would continue on. Jon thank you and the band Geeks, I saw you August 16th in Thousand Oaks, I cannot tell you how blown away I was, the first hour was classic epic Yes from the 70's. I want to see the album tour in 2025, please "Shine On"!!!!!
@@AdamLeon-yf4yo I think Drama was their best album… at least my favorite but I’m not a big fan. I think Yes did some good music and Jon’s a talented singer but most of his stuff is so cringy I can’t handle it
Hope he does at least one more tour with The Band Geeks, and they get to play “Once Upon A Dream”: not that I will see it as I am based in England. By that point many of the new songs would have ‘bedded in’ with audiences, many of whom (apparently) still only wanted to hear the 70’s Yes classics this time around.
Thank you,Jon! When you were in Phoenix did you get the album i left with the engineer? Chants of the Paramahansa Yogananda. My way of saying thank you for TALES and all you’ve given us. 🫶
This is an immensely talented man. What joy his lyrics, voice and music added to my life. Thank you sir!
