I purchased my a couple weeks ago. Paid 319.00 plus tax and shipping. I got the plain jane model also came with one mag. Mines is military green with the soft green case to match
Cool beans... I really thought about acquiring one when I seen the PSA sale, but I'm not adopting a new caliber... I'm over it, I'm done. 🤔 Thanks for letting us ride shotgun with ya, God bless
I went with the Tisas PX57. I have the P9 and PX9 carry. I haven’t had any issues with any of them. That said, similar to the PMR 30, the 5.7 wouldn’t run anything lighter than 40gr for the first 100-150 rounds
I picked up one in a $599 package. It came with a Holosun shake awake red dot, a threaded barrel, 2 23rd mags, a gun lock, and a soft range bag.. Thinking of grabbing another one for my wife, ya dig.. I also decided to carry this one rather than my Ruger SR9. It's lighter in carry weight, and better mag capacity..
I really like mine, better than my Ruger 57. I put a red dot on it and I love shooting it, just can't afford to shoot it to much. Ammo price is the biggest problem for this caliber .80 to over a buck a round.
Thanks for the review. I like the 5.7 BUT, darn the ammo is very expensive, LOL well at least for this old guy Man that is one heck of a flash...needs a suppressor Thanks again, like the video God Bless
It's not anymore. The new Fiocchi range dynamics target ammo is $65 for 150rds. And the AAC 40gr VMAX self defense ammo is $30 for 50 rounds. It's still not 9mm cheap, but the more people who adopt and buy it, the cheaper it will get.
My Rock won't shoot the FNH 27gr rounds. Fails to cycle every single round. It's been RMA'd twice and functions with their brand 40gr ammo, but not mine. 5 boxes of ammo I can't use...I do not recommend.
A lot of the 5.7 pistols are notorious for cycling issues with the added weight of an optic if you don't use 40gr ammunition, not just the PSA. 40gr gives slightly more recoil to be able to throw that extra weight all the way back for reliable operation. It is a problem with the lack of recoil from the 5.7x28 cartridge, not the gun- because as you already know, 5.7 is very light on recoil. Again, other brands have this issue too with an optic mounted, not just the PSA...
@@BuckeyeBallistics There is still not an even a mass produced and optimized self defense round on the market for the 5.7mm yet. Speer gold dot has the best projectile, but it is underloaded compared to even SS198 green tip. The moment someone releases a mass produced 300 fpe expanding projectile (hearing me federal?) this caliber is going to EXPLODE in popularity.
5.7x28 is nothing but overhyped and overpriced centerfire version of .22 WMR. Meant to be PPW for tankers and quarter masters, Five Seven and P90 must be loaded with SS190 to be somewhat effective. However, NATO rejected this idea, so FNH had to create a marketing myth about superiority of 5.7x28, just to sell it to civilians.

What a Steal! You can buy like 4 of these compared to one FN 5.7 lol
Same one I grabbed yesterday
I have the FDE version and the trigger surprised me! It’s so great out of the box.
I like mine. It was also the first 5.7 I ever fired.
I forgot you had one. I'm going to be getting on the gel tests with mine soon.

You're right, the grip does look similar to the Tarus TX-22.
Awesome ya picked it up!!
Compacts coming out soon I can't wait. And what a deal u got it's threaded barrel and optic ready is 570 or so now
I got the green and gold one. I call it the Master Chief edition.

I want to try that one

Palmetto has regularly had 150rd boxes of Fiocchi for $70 - hope this helps.
This was informative. Are you at brair rabbit 🐇 range?
Get a pencil and put a mark right in the middle of the front sight so when u aim use that mark and it will barely improve your shot

It's not a plinker, that's for sure.
Ruger is a good name and as far as I have seen the gun prices are reasonable but dang....no it's no plinker@@BuckeyeBallistics

Beautiful gun bro

If you have an optic mounted I'm not surprised. Haven't tried 27gr in mine yet though...
@@BuckeyeBallistics Yeah, I'm using a Holosun 507

can you not swap the mag release to the other side?
Not sure what I said in the video, but yes, you can switch it over to the other side.
This caliber is the future. In 20 years it is going to completely dominate the police Market... watch.
I will say, after shooting this I would definately recommend a 5.7 over .22lr and even .22wmr- which some people do carry.

That would increase the recoil to near .380 levels, but be better than .380 in every catagory so I'm with you there.
@@BuckeyeBallistics Yep. My thinking exactly.
I thought you were going to do more shooting and less talking 😢
