so i spoke with Usaku Hishida from Casio he said no Solar due to incompatibility beetween receiver UV panel and major interferences with GPS via bluetooth signal.
I believe it's because they want to maintain the sales for gwg-1000. If this model has tough solar, most people will buy it and sales for gwg-1000 will goes down since it doesn't have sunrise sunset, step counter feature. The only advantage is having sapphire glass.
@@junaidi.saidin this is the answer. Casio has always built in limitations to certain models to make sure the customer has to make a compromise when they buy a G. That way they will inevitably want to buy the alternative later. And then buy another and another and another. It's genius because it works. I have like 8 Gs now.
Been wearing this G for the past week and I absolutely love it. I cant recommend it enough and the Estimated battery life isn't an issue for me, I'll just change it myself when the time comes. Just been on my 10 mile hike this morning, I normally wear my GPR-B1000 for such things but decided to put my B100 through it paces today. Nice to see the step counter run up 20,000+ Lol. Love it.
Do you know what the initially displayed numbers mean when you get into sunrise/sunset mode? They appear right before it displays today’s sunrise/sunset. I love my gg b100 too.
Picked up the ggb100-1a3 Navi color today even though I wasn't actively shopping for a watch. I happened to stumble in a boutique and decided to try it on my wrist. It has a lot of features for the money. Useful features at that! The carbon core looks beautiful along with the yellow second arm. The tough solar wasn't a deal breaker for me as I am custom to caring my automatic watch anyways. Some watches just needs a little love here and there!
Have this watch for half a year now, and despite it not being that expensive, it was still a poor financial decision considering the context back when I bought it. I'm only saying this just to highlight that I absolutely love it and that I have no regrets regarding the purchase. Looks great, feels great, very comfy, sturdy, compliments my wrist perfectly, love the carbon design, and everything else about it. Shame there's no solar, but amazing nonetheless.
@@Tonygarry78 it does have a temperature sensor ( thermometer ). So it does tell you the temperature. It doesnt have tough solar,multiband6,sapphire crystal, and it only has 2 motors. Yet again a great review - what I love about your reviews is that they are impartial. You pick out the clear advantages/positive points about the models but point out their limitations (in considering cost/other models etc). Personally I think the watch is OK but the digital display looks a bit 'naff' and as other people are saying the solar capability I would miss. I would say, if you are able, always save up for the top of the range G-Shocks as the extra money is well worth spending. The Gulfmaster GWN-Q1000 for example is beautiful and the quality stunning.
Hey, the reason why your compass was showing 334° while the hand was moving to the right, was because the hand is on 360° while your heading is currently 334°, meaning you’re aimed to the left of true north.
Yes, thank you for correcting him. The compass works as any compass should and is VERY accurate! The thermometer is only accurate once it's removed off your wrist for 10-15 minutes. But still useful if in a hot environment above your own body temp. 👍👍
I wouldn't change my original rangeman. A great tool will be a digital Rangeman or digital analog Gulfmaster tough solar with a separate sensor for the altimeter, barometer, compass, temperature, depth meter, stepper, GPS and bluetooth sincronize. Yes 8 sensors. Will be priceless. That's FOR Me. 🤔😀 Thanks great presentation. Greeting from the Caribbean P.R.👍🖖
I have this watch because it is the only available model on the store and it its cheaper, you can adjust the features using the phone apps, it has, barometer, thermometer, altitude, compass, step counter, sunrise and sunset and many more.
The compass is correct. The degree number given is off of 12 oclock of the dial. So 360deg being 12 turn left you will count down and the hand will go to the right as it still points at magnetic north.
Very nice Casio mudmaster as I have own a few… only issue is battery life and changing it as using Bluetooth and phone connection drains battery faster which means more battery change…. But I still like it regardless of this issue I may have with it…. Just my opinion
After like 3 years I found in usa units of measure its best to keep the compass in literal direction unless you absolutely need a bearing measurement. its just too precise to walk around with it in bearing mode. it would be like walking around with your arms out like Frankenstein lol. or something. I would only use the .1 barometric read out at 2 point calibration. or under water.

I just wish this wonderful piece of a watch can connect to Strava and Relive but I think I am buying this you've convinced me thanks! The location of the sensor is important for Casio brand any other watches like Suunto will give you trouble on accuracy and response because it's under the watch near your skin - that matters for temperature definitely. I think CASIO engineers did a good feature work of actually using the phone GPS to sort of synch with the watch basically - that solves a lot of accuracy issues. This means my Nokia 8 with better GPS data (European and Russian) can upload to the GG-B100 Mudmaster and keep really a good track.

I would go for this. It has all the functions, so much value per buck. Other model to consider is GR-B200. Exact same functions, just different design.
Nice review ... awesome looking watch with plenty of useful features over the GWG1000 ...the bluetooth &the sunrise / sunset added ... however, I wish we can use a ten year battery for the GG B to partially compensate for the lack of solar charging??? ... can anyone help in answering this plz? ...
I agree with the rest on the solar charge capability, it is a must. Once you open the watch to replace the battery there goes your 200m water resistance.
Can I make waypoints and record a log if I am not paired to the phone? Then pair them later to view them? Seems like if you are out all day this would drain your phone battery.
That is to use as 'location finder'. Works like a radar/compass but with distance being displayed at the same time. You can keep your phone (google map) in your pocket and just use the watch instead.
Can anyone confirm if the Black Out version has a Turquoise LCD display rather than the Beige in the other models? Thanks in advance. Love your channel. Keep up the fantastic work!
I want to buy this watch but I didn’t understood so good, this watch has battery or not? Or is solar charging? And what is the differentce between these two? Please can somebody explain me better! Worth to buy or not?

@@gshockhighfashion yeh, I don't see any downsides. at first I wasn't all about a whole button being assigned to phone connectivity. But, eh. It can grow on me.
Its my everyday watch now. I already had two gwg a green and a black one, a gpr b 1000, a frogman, riseman, sold them all. Too much confusion because i never knew what watch to wear. I made it simple. I kept my g 9300 mudman for working out and this mudmaster for the rest. I also made some money. I dont care that its not solar. Its an awesome good looking watch and i love it.
Rogerio Barbosa sorry, but yeah I do know how to spell it properly (have a couple myself) but if I ain’t in an English test or something, I just do it the short way “ like Iggy Pop’s” song Tuff Baby (from the late 80’s)👍🍻
Will the altimeter work under water? Since it calculates the altitude with the help of the barometer which measures atmospheric pressure and when the watch is underwater the surrounding atmosphere is water instead of air. How accurate will the result be that the altimeter will show based on calculations using barometric data? I curiously submerged my GWG-1000 Mudmaster in a bucket 🪣 of water and checked the altitude which recorded 45 meters and the altitude of the place where i was conducting this experiment was 270 meters. Now, I am curious to know what result this altimeter will show and its accuracy while diving in the sea 🤿🌊 when i will also have a depth meter to compare the results.
hi. I have a q for you. I just bought a gwg 1000. And I m afraid I made a bad choice because I think it ll be discontinued soon... should I return it and get this instead? It has a newer design and it will not be discontinued soon. thx
Would like to know how you set up location to get accurate time for sunset/sunrise. Does the watch requires longitude and latitude of your location? How do you set them up? Thank you.
is mobile data required for g-shock app to operate and set compass feature. Seems like we need to activate data to set compass. if thats the case y should we rely on compass...we could have used google map....
I was really excited to see and hear about it when this model first announced. However, when you have watches that have the automatic functions, like "Solar Charging", it is hard to go backwards. and going back to a battery model that may need it's battery changed out approx. every 2 years really put a damper on the excitement level. Especially considering the costs. Will Casio come out with a solar version?
For functions, normal/fun adventure use: GG-B100 For reliability, long lasting, professional use: GWG-1000 I own both, the GWG quality feels significantly better. If I may add a suggestion, GWN-Q1000MCA (bracelet model not resin band) is also a good alternative.
gshock highfashion awesome! Thank you for the suggestion I think personally I’m going to buy them both, I’m going to buy the GGB100 for my civilian life and when I go for training (military) I’ll be using the GWG.. after a few pay checks that is haha but thank you for the suggestion and the great video man keep it up !!

I just purchased a watch from customwatch co online website and delivered thru flipkart. Which says it is G shock at INR 799/-, cheap with triple sensors but I do not see Alt, temp, compass etc. It has dual time, day date alarm stopwatch and illumination . It has two animals which blink but I do not know its function. On the dial only numbers for analogue 10 n 12 only shown. It's alarm is too low. Is this a good watch. On aluminium back it says g shock structure but no model no shown. It has g shock strap with holes and two teeth for clasp. Is this a good watch. Can you give a demo please?
TOUGH question about this one.. Does the barometer take readings as they do in barometer mode when the graph is shown in timekeeping? The reason I ask is because if you set the graph to 2 min intervals and show that on timekeeping it will update every 2 mins even in just timekeeping mode.. which leads me to believe that the watch is taking readings every 5 seconds even when not in barometer mode. when not in barometer mode it should be taking readings every 2 hours not two mins. if you leave the watch in 2 min mode and switch out of the mode does it keep taking readings every 2 mins? So very confused here because theres a BARO mode.. as well. anyway.
Do you know what the numbers initially displayed when in Sunrise/Sunset Mode? They show up right before displaying today’s sunrise/sunset. I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find any info.
gshock highfashion it’s the number right before the date for instance: today mine says “ ‘19 10.10 “ I guess I’m asking about the “ ‘19 “ ? Awesome channel btw. Love your stuff.
I’m a complete idiot and here is the irrefutable proof: my mind was looking for something cool like a moon phase code or something. US dates are mm/dd/yy. Don’t judge me. Lol
I went back and forth between the two, but ended up with the GWG-1000. Mainly for the tough solar. Both look great, but I don’t ever want to worry about a dead battery. I want to be able to play with all features of a watch without having to worry how much battery it’s eating up. Plus I was worried that opening up and closing the watch to replace the battery may in some way reduce the toughness if not done correctly.
The features on the GG B100 are low consumption. Get this one. It´s cheaper, looks better, has more functions and you don´t have to worry about exposing it to the sun all time.
which g shock has the most function, I have the gwa 1100 that's solar with atomic, and compass and the other normal alarm xtopwatch world time etc... but is there one with all this and maybe Bluetooth and baro?? must be analog also

I would go for this. It has all the functions, so much value per buck. Other model to consider is GR-B200. Exact same functions, just different design.
Nice review ... awesome looking watch with plenty of useful features over the GWG1000 ...the bluetooth &the sunrise / sunset added ... however, I wish we can use a ten year battery for the GG B to partially compensate for the lack of solar charging??? ... can anyone help in answering this plz? ...
I don't think would be possible, unless there are an new-lithium battery type or new technology out there that could make it possible.
I have one, and love it!
I agree with the rest on the solar charge capability, it is a must. Once you open the watch to replace the battery there goes your 200m water resistance.
Lol, not true. Solar watches have to change batteries as well after 10 years. And they will be resistant to water in the same.
Can I make waypoints and record a log if I am not paired to the phone? Then pair them later to view them? Seems like if you are out all day this would drain your phone battery.
I am buying this watch
What are you referring to with the black/green index glow difference? I have the green one but don't see the difference. Thanks
I was wrong on that point. I just realised that after testing it out on my own. Too bad, I really wish for it to be different.
Thanks for this review
I have one coming tomorrow
Bought one yesterday!
Best G you'll ever own! Just lovin'it
Awesome G. Hope it gets released in India soon. Great video as always. Curious to know what is the function of 'Indicator' above digital display.
Will intimate once launched😊
That is to use as 'location finder'. Works like a radar/compass but with distance being displayed at the same time. You can keep your phone (google map) in your pocket and just use the watch instead.
just to double, Quad verify before spending $380 the ggb100-1a can tell tye temperature, compass, barometer?
Can anyone confirm if the Black Out version has a Turquoise LCD display rather than the Beige in the other models? Thanks in advance. Love your channel. Keep up the fantastic work!
Do you have the answer now?
I want to buy this watch but I didn’t understood so good, this watch has battery or not? Or is solar charging? And what is the differentce between these two? Please can somebody explain me better! Worth to buy or not?
GG-B100 use regular lithium non rechargeable battery.
GG-1000 also non rechargeable
GWG-1000 is solar powered
GWG 100 is also solar powered, but no special features.
C'mon guys, this is perfect. Changing battery means this will last long. You guys, y'all not thinking. Battery packs soon will leak or malfunction and that my friend is a hassle getting fix. Unlike changing battery its just a 7/11 away. 😊
Good point of view. Didn't thought about that before. Thanks for sharing man.
@@gshockhighfashion no worries... most people are not that tech savvy and sad to say, they are the who complains more and think they know what they are saying. So, continue what you are doing, let's educate them.
What do you mean ? You think battery powered are better than tough solar ?
Hi, i have a question. Can you turn off the step tracking feature for this mudmaster? From watch or from the gshock app.. if its possible maybe the battery can last bit longer. Thank you for the great review. Thinking of getting one.
Sounds like a good idea. I don't think we can turn it off though. Can't find the settings yet at least. Too bad.
@@gshockhighfashion I see, thanks for your reply. I've already ordered one.
This might be my new watch. Not worried about losing the solar one bit.
Gotta agree!
@@MrCarpen7er After looking into it.. Im not too sure I want a dedicated phone connect button.
@@typerightseesight Some people hate the smart crown on the GWG 1000 as well. At least the phone connect button is safer.
Got it! Love it! My Forever Watch😅
Looks great, great functions, and great review! (As stated several times below, just a pity it ain’t Tuff Solar!)
Thanks for sharing 👍🍻
Tough
Rogerio Barbosa sorry, but yeah I do know how to spell it properly (have a couple myself) but if I ain’t in an English test or something, I just do it the short way “ like Iggy Pop’s” song Tuff Baby (from the late 80’s)👍🍻
@@simoncrawford350 Just spell words correctly dude.
what material was the buttons operation made from? metal or chrome-coating plastic?
Metal.
Awesome video man, congrats
I've got the green version, but i like to customize it to orange, do you know where can i get the orange band or any other color
The timing is still early for parts replacement, I guess directly from Casio is the only way to go if they allows it.
It has a newer design and it will not be discontinued soon. thx
Stay with gwg1000. Even if it got discontinued, it is still the best Mudmaster than this one. Selling that later on is easier.
Loved this watch.. help me buying with best deal as it is not available in India.. also want to know what's small robot like ??
I love that watch I love the orange band too
The rangeman triple sense is legend
Would like to know how you set up location to get accurate time for sunset/sunrise. Does the watch requires longitude and latitude of your location? How do you set them up? Thank you.
is mobile data required for g-shock app to operate and set compass feature. Seems like we need to activate data to set compass. if thats the case y should we rely on compass...we could have used google map....
Hi Josh
Which colour u recommend
- Black
- military green
- orange
???
I can see that you turned the 'auto-generated captions' ON.
LOL
I prefer Olive. Better for fashion wear.
gshock highfashion
Haha
I was really excited to see and hear about it when this model first announced.
However, when you have watches that have the automatic functions, like "Solar Charging", it is hard to go backwards. and going back to a battery model that may need it's battery changed out approx. every 2 years really put a damper on the excitement level. Especially considering the costs.
Will Casio come out with a solar version?
I'm sure they'll make one in the future if enough people bought this series to show of how much we love it.
I'm torn between getting this or GWG-1000-1A3 which one should I get??
For functions, normal/fun adventure use: GG-B100
For reliability, long lasting, professional use: GWG-1000
I own both, the GWG quality feels significantly better.
What a lifestyle. All the best for you man. Goodluck!
Looks awesome but........................No Tough Solar no sale. Getting the battery replaced every 1 1/2 years if you use it like it was meant to be used, no thanks
GWG-1000 FOREVER!
The GWG-1000 always had tough solar looking at mine right now check for yourself
@Ryder E world.g-shock.com/asia-mea/en/products/mog/mudmaster/gwg-1000/
Anyone who knows anything about the gwg 1000 knows it has tough solar and In my opinion the best g shock ever
@Ryder E yes it is tough solar u idiot
Iam rich.. ill buy gwg and ggb.. dont like choosing. 😆
Foosa dee Cat at retail it’s great value for money. Solar would would increase price.
So very confused here because theres a BARO mode.. as well. anyway.
G-shock GGB-100 mudmaster can it be converted to a Tough solar?
Would the strap be compatible with gwg-1000 or any other similar g shock?
Would it be possible to use GWG-1000 straps on GG-B100?
Not possible at all.
gshock highfashion ok, Thanks!
But what's your opinion about the cristal?? Do you like it?? It is confortable??
??? Lol
@@MrCarpen7er the cristal of g shock, asshole :|
nice Gshocks ⌚
How to change date format from MM/DD to DD/MM?
Have the answer now?
Do you know what the numbers initially displayed when in Sunrise/Sunset Mode? They show up right before displaying today’s sunrise/sunset. I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find any info.
That would be the date. You could toggle that using upper & lower right button to change it and check the sunset/sunrise on a different date.
gshock highfashion it’s the number right before the date for instance: today mine says “ ‘19 10.10 “ I guess I’m asking about the “ ‘19 “ ?
Awesome channel btw. Love your stuff.
I’m a complete idiot and here is the irrefutable proof: my mind was looking for something cool like a moon phase code or something. US dates are mm/dd/yy. Don’t judge me. Lol
The ggb100 it’s so comfortable I fall I sleep with it on my wrist I forget I have it on .
Now I am in the middle. Should I go for this or GWG-1000?
I went back and forth between the two, but ended up with the GWG-1000. Mainly for the tough solar. Both look great, but I don’t ever want to worry about a dead battery. I want to be able to play with all features of a watch without having to worry how much battery it’s eating up. Plus I was worried that opening up and closing the watch to replace the battery may in some way reduce the toughness if not done correctly.
The features on the GG B100 are low consumption. Get this one. It´s cheaper, looks better, has more functions and you don´t have to worry about exposing it to the sun all time.
which g shock has the most function, I have the gwa 1100 that's solar with atomic, and compass and the other normal alarm xtopwatch world time etc... but is there one with all this and maybe Bluetooth and baro?? must be analog also
There are a lot of baro models but this is the one and only that has bluetooth at the same time.
Most functions would be GPR-B1000 Rangeman. Full package including tide graph, moon data, gps time adjustment, gps location navigation, triple sensors, bluetooth.
@@gshockhighfashion awesome man I'll check it out. Thanks. I'm a new subscriber and love the vids.
@@gshockhighfashion it's a nice watch just wish it had analog hands
@@gshockhighfashion I just found the one I want, its the mudmaster gwg 1000, it has everything mine has im pretty sure plus baro alti and maybe thermo . of course I would have to buy a combi bracelet to put on it.

Great video. Thank you. That is disappointing regarding the Location function.
I had the same problem.
Fixed it on the app. There is a button to use the map or not.
Found that if that is toggles off it doesnt find location
@@richt3993 still doesn't work ...
Can not get my 5594 to pair with my Iphone 10 ? any support / help would be appreciated
Thats odd. Mine works just fine. I'm using the same phone. Try to unpair & reset pairing first then try again.
Excellent review, what is your wrist size please?
16.5cm +-
@gshockhighfashion Thanks for the reply, I think I need to order one. One of them has lumed indices bit I don't know which, I suspect the green one.
Can you please explain how to turn on the green lume (Glow in the dark feature). I don't see it glowing in the dark for mine sadly.
You have to expose it to sunlight. Cheers.
This watch is looking lit
Convert gwg1000 to a full digital display and operate the Tough solar system.
Literally can't find a better watch to upgrade to. I would trade it for the grb200. but i wouldnt rebuy it for the extra two side screws to keep it level on air and not in mud. So, I am stuck waiting for something. I want that new mtgb3000. But, its a tossup because i truely enjoy wearing the quadsensor.
Design and size looks good... but not tough solar... 😔
I just got mine today. It looks very nice in person.
