Of course, it makes things easier with a power bleeder. But this gives me a reason to get my wife to help me with my car stuff. When the kids get older, I'll get them involved.
@@JohnSnow-gd9dj you know nothing John Snow. While ista is obviously better for in depth stuff, the file is huge and its much more complicated to get started on. Inpa is much much smaller and simple and can for the average tuner, do everything they need for an e series. Obsolete would mean theres no reason to have it and thats simply not the case. Cheers.
hey my brakes are spongy after brake and rotor change. I removed some brake fluid from reservoir but never went below minimum. I drove it around the block twice it seemed to get better on second trip. Any ideas?
If you get air trapped in the abs pump, one of the only ways to get it out is to cycle the abs pump while bleeding the brakes. And one of the only ways to do that is to trigger it via software.
Hey, can I bleed my brakes alone? Opening the bleed screw and pumping the brake pedal and topping up the reservoir and checking to see if there are no bubbles then moving on to next wheel?
You can gravity bleed, that's where you open the bleeder screw but don't pump the pedal. You could also buy a power bleeder, its a cap that screws onto your reservoir and you pressurize it with air and then you just open the bleeder and the pressure from the air pushes the brake fluid out. @ people or a power bleeder are the 2 best ways.
So 2 person method is just so the air doesn't get sucked back in right? Pressing the pedal and closing the screw before releasing. What if I make an arch and place the tube above bleeding screw, and just pump the pedal? That should work, but will probably stick to 2 person method :) Thanks for the video
Excellent video sir! Watching this reminded me of when I was a little kid helping my dad do this :)
Nice job. Glad to see you working with your son!!!
Excellent DIY video! Saves me from spending money on a power bleeder.
+Dennis Canuto thanks, its always encouraging to hear that I've helped somebody

Thank you! Now I need to find out how to bleed my abs system
K+dcan cable and inpa on a laptop
@@LîNkxUSMC inpa is obsolete. Ista + is the software to go with.

Great Job! Learn A lot! Thanks.
Great vid 👍🏼 Thank you ☺️
Great video, gave me the confidence to do this at home.
Glad I could help. I love hearing comments like this.
Thx for sharing
Great video thank you. So nice to see you show your son. What type and brand of fluid you use?
What's that thing called that you used to suck out the oil please!!! I'm gonna buy one online
It's just a turkey baster. You can find them on Amazon, Walmart, or a grocery store.
Lol you can stop by the cookie aisle at the grocery store for one
Your wife/mistress/GF probably has one and she can use it later for Thanksgiving just don't tell her! :D
Great video but you also need inpa or similar to bleed to abs system and activate it

Ric777888 you need to use the bmw inpa software to initialise the abs pump whole bleeding.
can you elaborate

That could possibly work
Would 1 litre of brake fluid do this job?
+DodgeCity111, 1 liter is enough if you move on to the next caliper as soon as the brake fluid looks clear.
Thanks buddy.
what is a carnet? do you mean the next bleeder screw?
Caliper. Autocorrect got me again.
What happens if you just replace the old fluid with new fluid in the resivoir without bleeding?
The oil inside the brake line will stay old. So its a unsafe waste of money!
Thank you for video, really helpful. Can you include the things you used throughout out this process in the description. Would be really helpful.
So what else have you used that for..lol
First!
James Russo 😂 Haha
